Purple Rain . . . Clouds!

Hi Everyone!! Happy Sunday!  To be honest it's not a happy one here.  I'm sick and hacked off about it!  I managed to get out of Winter unscathed while everyone around me and I mean EVERYONE around me was sick.  I felt invincible yet here I am in the beginning of Spring felled by the stupid common cold.  I spent the day in bed all day yesterday, which wasn't too bad because I had a few books to read and my son made me Italian Wedding Soup.  But still!  How do you manage to stay clear of a cold in Southeast Wisconsin during the Winter and then get one in the Spring??!!

Boggles The Mind!!

I am feeling slightly better today, no aches and pains and no sore throat so I'm hoping to muddle my way through this baby without too much whining LOL!

Today's Adventures In Stamping Challenge is Over A Lilac base--I did a lovely gradient with Sinful Colors Candy Coated and an unnamed LA Colors I have--I hate getting those LA Colors from the dollar store--the name is on the package WHICH YOU THROW AWAY for crying out loud!

Here's a shot of the gradient before I stamped
I keep saying one day I'm going to stop gradienting all the time, but then I do one that's so lovely and I feel it gives any mani so much more depth so then I say, nope not gonna stop!

I stamped over it using Zoya Suri, who's quite lovely on her own but who also STAMPS LIKE A BOSS
I haven't used the cloud image yet from BM312 so I decided it was high time
I love a good tone on tone mani!
It's delicate but again the added second color in the gradient really give this mani an extra boost!
Here's a lovely collage with the gradient alone and stamping over it

I hope I can stay feeling okay today because I found a picture online I want to recreate for my MSMD mani tomorrow only I'm tossing in a twist!

Thanks for stopping by!!  I hope you all have a fantastic day!

  4. Hi Laurie! Just thought I'd share - I take one of those little round stickers that you use for price tags at garage sales and write the name on them, then stick it to the bottom of the polish before I throw out the packaging - I'm with you all the way - I hate how they put the name on the packaging instead of on the bottle! I have a couple where I forgot to do that and I will never know what they are called!

    2. Hopefully it helps - I can't remember where I saw it, but I stole it from a fellow nail polish lover. :)
