Cooking up some skittles

Hi Everyone!! Wow trying to come up with an idea of your own after a two week long Digit-al Dozen Challenge is a bit daunting!  I had to think for myself!  I tossed together a quick and easy skittle mani.  I didn't have much time to think about any great ideas--it's Packer Sunday!!!  Today the party is at my sister's.  We're having tacos so I need to get some guacamole made up and head on over there for a fun filled day!

For this mani I put together some matte with some holo--I love those two looks together!
My index is Nabi Tawny, my swear is a franken I made--Pumpkin Spice Latte, ring is Zoya Caitlin and pinkie is Zoya Dove.  I matted Caitlin with some silver stamping!!
I added the green rhinestone to Pumpkin Spice Latte because my thumb has the lovely Zoya Veruschka on it!
These are definitely some fall colors which is good as we are seeing 50 degree weather today with rain
I need to do skittles more often!  I always like the end results when I do!

Thanks so much for stopping by!  I wish everyone who entered the Spectacular September Giveaway the best of luck!!!

I hope you all have a great day and of course Go Pack, Go!!!!!!!!

Holy Hannah!! I hate being this busy!

Hi Everyone!  Man I hate being so busy!  I've done 9 mani's for the camera fund raiser this week--I mean yes I'm thrilled to have so many fab friends and family helping me out but at the same time I haven't had time to do any nail art on my nails! EEK!  I'm wearing a Nabi holo today which is super lovely so I guess it will have to do for nail art!  Let's hope I can get some stamping on this baby later tonight though!

This is called Dark Purple, it's number 15
It's pretty lovely!  I've heard a few people say they thought the Nabi's weren't very holo, I sure think they are!
They remind me of the China Glaze Kaleidoscopes which are my fave holos ever!
Here are some shots I took sitting in the car LOL!  Simply stunning!
I just think a chunky holo is the way to go!
They are such a pretty color in the shade as well
My nails are getting to that freakishly long phaze though so I think it's time to chop them down a bit!

When I get the new camera I've decided to recreate all the mani's I've done on other people--I think it will be a blast!  Hopefully by the middle of July I'll be camera hunting!!!

Tonight is pizza and movie night at my mom's with my sister and niece!!  We're watching Enchanted again because we all love that movie so much!

I hope you all have a fantastic weekend!

Leopard A Day Week Day Seven!!!!!

Hi Everyone!!!  Yay it's the last day of Leopard A Day Week--not yay that it's finally over but yay because I had so much fun doing this leopard long week.  I think I need to do more weekly theme's like this.  I know a lot of stampers feel the need to have a bazillion plates but when you think about it, one plate can give you a thousand designs by switching up the polish you have on underneath it.  I will always be a more polish rather than more plates person.

I hauled out one of my first stamping plates to do today's leopard mani Konad M76

I did a lovely accent nail with BM221 and Nabi Flamingo.  I love a scattered holo so much more than a linear because scattered holos are gorgeous without sunlight!
Lots of little sparkle in Flamingo
My non nail polish friends refer to holographic or more correctly termed prismatic polishes as glittery!
The accent dots on Konad M76 are China Glaze Turned Up Turquoise and Purple Panic--2 of my all time favorite neons!
Sometimes there is just nothing better than a black and white manicure!!!

For me it's hard to pic a favorite of the week but I think my Day 5 and my Day 7 are my two faves!

This is what the week looks like all together!
Same leopard print stamp in almost every image but they all look different!  you gotta love that!

Thanks for tuning in everyday this week to check them all out!  I hope you all have a fantastic day!!

If only dragon's were real!

Hi Everyone!!!! A happy Sunday to you all!  I hope you're having a great weekend so far.  It's a pretty chilly and dreary day here today, quite the opposite of yesterday.  I'm going to be spending the day with my grand nephew Sean today.  He's turning three soon and is quite the handful.  Sean is the grandson of my beautiful sister, Lisa, who died of breast cancer the year before he was born.  It often makes me sad he has to grow up never knowing her, but I'm grateful to be a part of his life, and in that he will know her in the ways we can share her memory with him.

I went to bed extra early last night so I'd be prepared for running around and playing non stop boxing on the Wii!  That kid beats me all the time! LOL!

Before heading off for my day adventure I want to show you what's up with today's Adventures In Stamping Facebook challenge.  Today's theme is butterflies and dragonflies.  I haven't done nearly enough dragonfly mani's so I decided to do one for the challenge.  I do so love how it turned out!  I paired it with a kick ass holo gradient using some of the new Nabi holo's therefore some of these pics are with flash--as there was no sun at 8pm last night lol!

Now here's a funny thing about the Nabi holo's--Seche Vite is not their friend. I did a lovely gradient using Flamingo, Purple and Dark Purple but when I applied the Seche Vite the holo completely melted.  Seche is usually my best friend when it comes to gradients as it helps blend the colors but this time it was my worst enemy!  I ended up sponging over after I did the Seche and while I didn't get a seamless gradient I did get holo goodness.

Here are pics before I went back over the topcoat

While the gradient is pretty the holo was much stronger before I applied the Seche Vite

My dragonflies sure look good though don't they???!!
I used the Cheeky Jumbo 9 Wild At Heart plate for the dragonflies and stamped with China Glaze, Adore, Emotion and Harmony

Here are pics are I sponged just one layer of the gradient again over the topcoated gradient and then did not topcoat again
Holo goodness but almost "too" holo lol!
I like to see my gradient a little more
I do really love these Nabi holos though, to me they are what I refer to as a "chunky" holo.  They aren't a tight linear which I love.  I'm not really a fan of the tight linear holos.  I prefer a scattered to a linear any day.  I'm crazy like that!
So let this be a lesson to you when it comes to Seche Vite.  Sometimes--okay almost always--he'll be your best friend, but then out of the blue he can turn on you.  Sort of like your cat when you're petting him and then stop so he bites you! LOL!

Tomorrow starts my Leopard A Day Week!  I'm really excited to show you guys what I came up with!  If you have any leopard mani's of your own you'd like to show I hope you pop over to my Facebook page and post them there for me!

Thanks for stopping by!! I hope you all have a fantastic day!!
