Monkey See, Monkey Do Monday---Beaching Nails!

Hi Everyone!!! Happy Monday!!  I got to spend some time with my friend Emily yesterday and we had a blast!  We really wanted to try some new techniques to the stamping world and were able to do a couple quite successfully!  The other day my friend Beaching Nails showed a sneak peek mani she had done with the new icing polishes from 10.1 polish.  I was blown away!  I mean omg it was gorgeous.  I decided to try to recreate it.

First of all I made up some sheer tints using some old China Glaze neons I had
Next up I painted my nails with 2 coats of OPI My Vampire Is Buff.  Then I applied the sheers randoming "splodging" them all over my nails.  I stamped in black using the BuNa B plate from Bunny Nails and look at it!
Oooooooh  Ahhhhhhhhh!  This is so pretty!

Ha check out Emily's porch!  I tried to get some sunny shots but it was behind a cloud LOL!

As you can see I did matte it because I felt like it really added to the look
It turned out just beautiful.  But not as beautiful as Beach's!  Trust me!!!  Here's a pic of her's
Beached used the new Icing collex from 10.1 Polish and look how lovely it turned out!  I'm definitely going to snag that collection and guess what it's available now right HERE

Here's a side by side shot of mine and Beach's
What a pretty look and honestly not hard to achieve at all!

You may have seen Beaching Nails as she's all over the place but if you haven't seen her on Facebook check out her blog HEREhttp://beachingnails.blogspot.com/

Have you tried any of the sheer polishes out there?  Have you made any of your own?  What about this technique have you tried it yet?

Thanks for stopping by!! I hope you all have a wonderful day!

Ice, Ice, Baby!

Hi Everyone!  Happy Saturday!  I have the day to myself today and I feel like I really need it.  I need to head to the grocery store bu then that's it.  It can be another day of winding down for me, which I will thoroughly enjoy I'm sure!

I worked on this mani idea last night and I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out.  I wanted to do something with the frost image from Bunny Nails HD-F plate so I did a simple saran wrap mani using Sinful Colors Sugar Rush which is a pale blue and then white.  Then I stamped the imaged with SH Silver Sweep with the frost image
I decided to matte it up instead of going shiny with it
Many mornings our windows here have looked just like this LOL!
What do you think of this look?  Do you think is looks like frosty windows or more like tree branches?
Thanks for stopping!!  I hope everyone has a fabulous weekend!

Merry Christmas!!!

Merry, Merry Christmas dear Readers!!!  To those of you who celebrate I share in the joy with on this day our Savior was born.  To those of you who don't--I wish for you peace and joy.  I am so thankful you have all brought me into your life through our shared love of nail polish!

Thanks to Bunny Nails HD-F I'm able to create a beautiful nativity mani to celebrate Christmas Day-the birthday of Jesus Christ
Last night I celebrated with my family and we had a wonderful time.  I see so much strength in my mother as she struggles to live a life without her husband and a daughter.  Where some might find a weakness at the struggle in trying to do the simplest things alone, I see nothing but immense strength.

Today I'm celebrating with my son and my furry friends.  Two days off in a row!  I don't even know what to do with myself!  Okay that's not true, I definitely know what to do with myself.  I'll be reading, reading and more reading, and looking at all the new nail polish I got over the past couple of weeks.  And I treated myself to the Dior Les Violets Hypnotiques collex.  I spent an ungodly amount of money on just 3 polishes, but I've been working very hard these past two months so I treated myself!

I hope you all have a fantastic day!

SNOW DAY!!

Hi Everyone!! Happy Sunday!!! We have a lot of snow here today and it's still coming done.  We are under snow watch until 6 pm tonight and it's about 10 am right now.  I got to sleep in today!  No work for me! Woot!  I am pretty happy to be able to just rest and relax today.  Thankfully almost all my Christmas shopping is done, I only need to pick up a couple of things from Barnes & Noble and then wrap aka put into gift bags because I can't wrap for shizz!

I sat down last night and did a manicure in preparation for the big snow fall today and thankfully I was not disappointed in either--the snowfall nor the mani!

 Look how sparkling it is!!!
I used a base of Zoya Twila over Orly Sweet Peacock
I've had Twila for well over a year and never even tried it!  UG!  I really need to make my New Year's Resolution I will wear all nail polishes I bought in 2013 and haven't worn yet!  Maybe by the end of the year I'll get caught up LOL!
I stamped using both BM323 and Bunny Nails HD-F so really just a simple mani!

And here's some pics of the snow!
This is the scene across the street.  They haven't even plowed yet!
Here's the back yard
and here's my little car!  Buried!  Not too bad yet though we'll see how it looks in a few hours LOL!
I hope where ever you are you are safe!  Thanks for stopping by!  I hope you all have a fantastic day!

Digit-al Dozen Does Red, Gold & Green

Hi Everyone!!! Happy Hump Day!  How's your week going so far?  Mine is going surprisingly great!  I'm holding up quite well in my 15 hour work days and still managing to get enough sleep!  I even lost 2lbs which is shocking considering the fact I've eaten a red velvet donut every single day at the bakery LOL!

I got some amazing nail mail today!  I got my Doctor Who Red Dogs, my Messy Mansion plates and a few of the nail spikes I ordered!  Woot!  I can't wait for the weekend so I can play around with them!

Today I have a lovely mani in all matte!  I pulled out my Zoya Veruschka and Posh and paired them with Paintbox Polish His Chosen One.  I put on a matte topcoat over His Chosen One to keep the matte look and here's the beautiful results

His Chosen One is a lovely beige with gold flakies and I think it looks fabulous with a matte topcoat don't you???
I spruced this look up a bit with some stamping BMH03 and Bunny Nails HD-F
How cute is this????!!!!
Really lovely I think and quite traditional for a Red, Gold & Green mani!
I guess there is nothing wrong with being Christmasy near Christmas!!

Be sure you check out what my friends have all done for today!

Digit-al Dozen Does Red, Gold and Green

Hi Everyone!  I have a mani that turned out surprisingly well for as little thought went into it!  As you know I am working from well before sun up to long after sundown these days.  I have my eye on the Naked 2 and 3 palette as a treat for all my hard work so there is light at the end of the tunnel.  I got home last night pretty exhausted but still need a manicure for the challenge.  I decided to do some quick and easy stripes with my favorite red and green--favorite red is Knees Up by Butter London and favorite green is Emerald Park by Nails Inc.  I stamped over it with the best gold in the universe China Glaze Passion with my new Bunny Nails HD-F Christmas plate.

I think it turned out looking like wrapping paper!!! And I didn't even really try!
The only good light I had was snapping this pic under the kitchen light LOL!  It's hard to get good pics in the dark time!
Maybe I should have my eye on a light box before any Naked Palettes--lol!

So far I'm keeping up okay with the challenge I sure hope I don't fall behind!  Everyone else is doing an amazing job!
