Where's the leprechaun??

Hi Readers!  It's March!!! Yay!  I don't know about you readers but I'm German, Scottish and Irish!!!! The triple threat--woot!  I love March because it means I can wear ALOT of green.  I have a ZILLION green polishes too I swear.  This mani is just a nice reverse glitter gradient.  I've been seeming them pop up all over on blogs and Pinterest and wanted to try my hand at one.  At first I was not hugely successful.  I tried just painting the glitter polish on and that just wasn't working so I decided to sponge it and success!
Here's the reverse gradient effect
I'm trying to take more pics of my right hand but that wonky pointer finger drives me nuts lol!
Here's nice close up
I found by sponging I was able to get a better glitter coverage.

This mani is SUPER easy!  I did 3 coats of Sally Hansen Hard As Nail Punk Rock.  At the cuticle I sponged on LA Girl Rock Star in Live On Stage and then Icing Happy Go Lucky over that just at the cuticle and about midway up on the nail.
Here's a pic of the polishes I used
Icing Happy Go Lucky is a lovely holo hex and emerald green hex glitter! PERFECT for St Patrick's Day!.

I hope you like green readers because I've got a lot to use until St Patrick's Day lol!

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope you all have a fantastic day!

A Happy Surprise!

Hi Readers!  Today's mani turned out to be a huge surprise to me!  Basically I was too lazy to take off the current mani I was wearing when I got nail mail from my lovely friend Ginger.  Instead of taking off what I was wearing to try out this Icing Duo I got from Ginger I just decided to cover up my current mani.  The Icing Duo I got was the Lippmann Across The Universe dupe Force Of Love and it's "B" side Magnetic Attraction. I know everyone and their mother is gaga in love with Across The Universe but to me it's just ok.  Magnetic Attraction was really appealing to me though so I decided to try and wear that and see how I felt about it.  I needed some dark to cover up my current mani so I went for my OPI Lucerne-tainly look Marvelous BUT I also might have went for it because it was right next to me too lol!
Magnetic Attraction is really intriguing to me.  It's a grey jelly base with copper and blue micro glitter with medium size holo hex glitter--very unique to me.  Sure there are lots of holo hex glitters out there but the combination of those with micro copper and green glitters sets it apart to me.  Let's check out the surprise mani!
Wow! For something I just whipped together out of laziness this far surpassed my expectations for it!  I honestly planned on not even doing my right hand to match lol!  Nope right hand was done as well and this was something I knew I would wear for at least 3 days.  3 days to me is the right amount of time for a mani.  As soon as I get tip wear or chipping my mani comes off--usually 3 days is as long as I'll go before tip wear.
Here's a close up of it!
I'm making do with a pretty old digital camera so I can't get that great of a close up but hopefully you can see some of that copper and blue in there with the holo hexes.  I just found this to be so stunning!
And here it is with flash!!! GORGEOUS!
I just cannot be happier with this mani!

To recap I used OPI Lucerne-tainly Look Marvelous with one coat of Icing Magnetic Attraction over it and then stamped using Konad Special Black on RA108

Have you ever had something like this happen readers?  You didn't have high expectations for a mani and it really knocked your socks off??

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you all have a fantastic day!
