So a few a few weeks ago I drove down to Chicago with some newly made friends to hit up Polish Con. If you aren't familiar with Polish Con this is an event featuring Independent Nail Polish Makers. So far they are having this event in the Chicago area every Fall and then other cities in the Spring. They recently named New York for Spring 2017. Since Chicago is a little more than an hour drive for me Chicago is always doable. In fact the gals I drove down with and I are already talking about road tripping again next year!
I've been really busy at work as well as helping out my mom after gall bladder surgery so I really haven't stamped my nails much but I have been wearing some of the really exceptional polishes I got at the Con! I thought I would share of a few of the ones I bought as well as the polishes from the VIP bag
First up is the mani I wore to the Con itself. It matched the top I was wearing that day
There was really only 1 must have polish for me before I left for the event and that was Lollipop Posse's Give The Lady What She Wants. OMG when I saw pictures of this polish I fell instantly in love with it and it did not disappoint!
It is a deep vampy bordeaux crelly type polish with a freaking teal shimmer!!! Winner! Winner! Chicken Dinner!!
Once I got to the Con there were other polishes that hadn't been on my radar I had to snag. This next one is one of them. Seriously I died when I picked up this polish and held it in my hands. It did not hurt at all it was from Darling Diva as I love and adore Carrie and she never disappoints.
This is Corvis and honestly you can't even describe it it's so dang gorgeous! It's a black jelly base filled with green, blue, pink ultra chrome flakies as well as holo micro glitter. Seriously I died when I put this on!!
This polish to me is 100% the Universe in a bottle!
Carrie just loves aliens so I decided to put a little image that reminded me of something out of Alien on a couple of accent nails!
Soooooo cool!!!!
Here's another one I didn't know I needed until I was standing at the table looking at it. This is Alter Ego's Vegas Showgirl and this thing is FULL OF BLING! Oh my goodness it is SO stunning and actually completely different than all of the others I bought. I tended to go for the dark vampy Fall colors but this is completely the opposite

Out of the bunch of purchases I bought at Polish Con this CBL exclusive is definitely one of my faves. I did see a picture of this before the event and knew I wanted it and I was not disappointed in this beauty at all!
This is just a really lovely color and perfect for Fall and Winter!
And this baby has a slight shift to gold to her! Yep in certain light you get a warmer colder burgundy
I love it and why I say it's perfect for fall. In fact I did some Fall leaves stamping over it!
Our leaves aren't changing too much here in Southeastern Wisconsin just yet but I suspect that will change starting this week

Hi Everyone! Have you ever known about the best kept secret? That's how I feel about Alter Ego Nail Lacquer and body care products. They are really awesome as is the customer service but for some reason people just don't hear much about them. Awhile ago I was asked if I would review some nail polishes and body care items and I said "HELL YES!" I've purchased several things in the past and have love everything I've gotten so I was very excited to review for them. I received 3 nail polishes and some face and body cream. The polish I'm reviewing for you today is called Royal Prisoner Of Love and it is SO DANG PRETTY! Seriously! It is a gorgeous polish. It's the most unusual shade sort of purple periwinkle thing. It also seems to have almost a holographic frost like finish if there is such a thing in the shade. It's just so amazing!
I love the bottles the shape is very unique

Right at my tips is a frost look you get in the shade I think it's really cool

Cynthia, the owner, changed her formula to which I'm most grateful. Sometimes indie polishes are a little too thick for me and I find myself having to thin them often. But her new formula is fantastic and I had zero issues with application. I am wearing two coats with Seche Vite top coat and the holo has not trouble coming out to play in the sunlight
I stamped over this beauty after I wore it for 3 days and as you can see there is also zero tip wear for me (but I am usually quite lucky with that)
Sadly I had to use my indoor lighting for this as It was night time and I still think my bulbs are too bright but this is still such a pretty color
My stamping is a bit lacklustre--my roses sort of blending in rather than standing out but overall this was a lovely mani I wore for an entire week!

Hi Everyone! Keeping up with this week's theme of Autumn I've got on some gorgeous browns today. Way back when I first had my polish problem with about 30 bottles total at least half of those bottles were of brown polish. It was my first problem color for sure!!
Today I've paired up Sinful Colors Leather Loose with Alter Ego's Chocolatier and Desert Storm Trigger Puller. I layered Desert Storm over Chocolatier and it's just a lovely golden brown chocked full of shimmer, sparkle and even holo glitter goodness
Leather Loose is a gorgeous dark brown matte with gold shimmer--I've topcoated it for this mani and it's just to die for gorgeous!
I stamped using on of my new MoYou plates!! It's from the Sailor collection 06 and so really isn't not anything grain like at all, but I thought it looked cool!

Hi Everyone!! Oh my lord let me tell you I am d r a g g i n g ! I've started my camera fundraiser and did 4 manicures last night and did not get home until almost 10pm! I like to be in bed by 9 (yes I'm old) so I can read. None of that last night though. My back hurts from hunching over last night and I'm tired BUT I have another pretty cool mani to show you!
Today I paired a gorgeous, pretty in pink polish by Alter Ego, Girly Girl, with an edgy look!
Girly Girl is a super pretty pink matte full of shimmer. For this mani I sparkled her up with shiny topcoat
I think this black tip makes her look hot and sexy! Or maybe that's just the leopard image?? All leopard's must be sexy!
I stamped using my Cheeky Jumbo 9 Wild At Heart plate.
Here's where we're at so far Day 4 only 3 more to go!
