Are you afraid of the dark????!!!!

Hi everyone!  I missed saying Happy Monday yesterday--sorry about that!  I was plumb tuckered out yesterday and was too busy vegging to get a post up!  What a freaking slacker I am!  Awhile ago in a Facebook group I'm in one of my friend Donna posted the cutest little mani.  I thought it was genius because she took and image and created something completely alive with it!  I'm not normally a "cute" person but I just had to recreate her look.  And while I'm at it I decided to pair her cuteness with a totally cute look I saw over on LacqLustre's blog!

This little monster mani reminds me when I was little.  I was forever having nightmares about monsters and even though I was the big sister I would always wake Lisa up and ask her if I could sleep with her LOL!

She ALWAYS said yes.  When I crawled into bed with her she would tell me I had to sleep against the wall.  And I gladly did it!  We had a window in between our two twin beds I always thought if a monster came in through the window he would eat her and be too full to eat me so he'd leave me alone!
She thought the monster would come up from the crack between the bed and the wall and eat me and be too full to eat her and he'd leave her alone!

Neither one of us knew this about the other unti we were adults! Hahaha!

To get this looked I used Sally Hansen Snappy Sorbet and Sally Hansen Fuzzy Coat in All Yarned Up on my accent nails with some googley eyes--an idea I saw over on LacqLustre.  And the rest of my nails are done in Snappy Sorbet and stamped with Konad m65.  This is the cute idea Donna did!  I had to double stamp thumbie but this image is pretty forgiving when double stamping.

This is a pretty cute Halloween type mani for sure!

Thanks for stopping by!!! I hope you all have a fantastic day!

Adventures In Stamping Flashback to the 70's!!!

Hi Everyone!!!  Today's theme in the Adventures In Stamping Facebook group is The 70's.  Holy cow flashback for me!  Was I alive in the 70's--heck yeah!  I was born in 1963 so I remember the 70's well.  While some might say the fashion was awesome, omg it was not!  We ran the gamut back then with Little House On The Prairie smocks, caps and wire rim glasses, to high heeled platform heels, bell bottoms and crocheted vests!  Elvis was the skinny Elvis in the early 70's and he looked fabulous!  Girls fell in love with David Cassidy, Andy Gibb and I'm pretty sure Leif Garret was in there too!

I remember watching shows like The Six Million Dollar Man (OMG I miss that show!!!  I heart you Lee Majors!), Shazam and Isis, Tarzan, The Sonny & Cher Show, The Mac Davis Show and Laugh-In.  My dad loved Laugh-In!

The colors were sometimes wild and neon to the ugly brown, light blue, avocado and orange.  OMG Tupperware in the 70's was not pretty people!  Back then you had a green refrigerator too!  Crazy man!

I thought of a lot of things I could do then decided on this mani as it will double as a mani for my grandnephew's birthday party today!!!

I had a heck of a time with this mani I'll tell you.  I wanted to use my Cheeky XL C plate but I could not get my Kleancolor Black to stamp a single image I wanted to use on that plate!!! It really hacked me off!
I went digging through my plates and came up with this one!
My trusty Konad M65
I did have some issues with the black and white stamping but it was now 10pm and I knew I would take it off after a day so I said forget it and called it a night!!

All I did for the neon was lay down some neon colors in orange, yellow, pink and green and then stamp over it with black.  I love how it turned out and it totally reminds me of Laugh-in!!
It's pretty funky and I think it will be a great mani for Sean's birthday party today too!

For those of you celebrating Father's Day today with your dad, give him a big hug and tell him you love him!

Monkey See, Monkey Do Monday--Rebecca Likes Nails!

Hi Readers!  Today's MSMD mani is a fun one!  I saw my internet daughter do this awhile ago and I thought to myself--man she is SO smart! Why didn't I do this???  I'm not going to tell her that though, she already has a big head!  So check it out Readers!
Yep that's right!!! Today's mani is Amy's Nailventurous Floam with stamping!
The black over the neon yellow and blue Floam looks SO cool!
Definitely a great summer time look!
Amy really nailed the name on this one too!  It totally does look like the toy, Floam!
To see my internet daughter's mani of Floam with stamping check here.  I used 2 coats of Floam for my mani instead of an undercoat.  It's a very hungry glitter Readers and I did use 2 coats of Seche Vite but really I think it would have looked even better with 3 coats.  I stamped using Konad M65 with my Kleancolor black.

Throw Back Thursday--Abstract

Hi Readers!  I've got another Throwback Thursday mani for you today.  I'm getting a kick out of these mani's from the past because I remember how much fun I had doing them AND I'm glad my nails have grown out a bit since then!
Here's an abstract design I did after seeing a few blogs with this trend of multicolored blobs with stamping over them.  I love how this one looks and remember I got alot of compliments on this mani when I wore it.  And here it is!
Here it is with flash
Close up!!!

To the best of my recollection the colors I used were OPI Atomic Orange, Suzy Says Feng Shui, Jade Is The New Black and Vodka and Caviar.  The yellow I believe is Hard Candy Splendid.  As you can see I just made dots of each color in different spots on my nail.  I stamped using Kleancolor Black image plate M65.

Thanks for stopping readers, I hope you all have a fantastic day!
