Morning everyone!!! We have another huge snow storm to contend with here. Lots of snow yesterday and it's expected to snow all day today as well. I know a lot people are grumbling about it but the reality is our Nation was in a huge drought last year and we need this snow to start off our planting season. It's Winter here still in Wisconsin and it stays Winter here until after April LOL!
I can't believe I'm wearing pastels in the middle of Winter but I am! I decided to gradient with a couple of the new Sugar Rush colors from Sinful. I don't "do" pastels and quite frankly I get sick of seeing all the pastel collections posting when we are still in the dead of Winter, BUT when I saw these and knew how affordable they were I bought them all. I blame my friend Jen Miracle of Jen's Wonderland for this. In fact I say it's a Jen Miracle I'm even wearing pastel in the middle of Winter!
I did a gradient with Cotton Candy and Sugar N Spice from Sinful. Both are quite lovely.
I stamped using both Mash-41 and M57
While it looked good with just the black I could hear Christopher Walken in the background yelling "more cowbell"! So hauled out the white and silver glitter striper and went to town
It's pretty wild and bold and helps jazz up a pastel LOL!
Winter Storm Rocky is wreaking some havoc today--I hope all who are in his path stay safe and drive smart!
Thanks for stopping by!!! I hope you all have a fantastic day!!

Monkey See, Monkey Do--Rebecca Likes Nails!
Hi Readers! My polish daughter does some amazing gradients! No matter how much I try I just can't get mine to look like hers. I knew I was going to do something of hers for my monkey see, monkey do week though. I seriously thought about doing her "signature" gradient zebra BUT this one was calling to me more! To see Rebecca's mani look here. Here's mine and if I do say so myself I rocked this!
Here's a lovely closeup--try to ignore the super glue that's all over my hands here! I was making jewelry and didn't notice I had gotten it all over lol!
Here it is with flash--it's so . . . flashy!
I really love this shot of it. I wish I had a cool ring to go with it--I need to make a hot pink zebra ring I think!
Here's the lovely side by side of mine and Rebecca's
To get this mani I used exactly what Rebecca did! Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in Mellow Yellow, Sun Kissed and Power Pink. The plate used is M57.
What do you think of this one readers?? I really love it! Too bad Wisconsin isn't having any summer weather (okay really it's not too bad--the chinchillas don't handle warm weather well so the cooler weather is awesome).
Thanks for stopping by! I hope you all have a fantastic day!

Surviving St Patty's Day!
Hi Readers! Sorry I was MIA yesterday but I was recuperating. I had a birthday party to go to last night and there was too much good food and sparkling moscato to be had. I'm not a young chicken anymore either so trust me when I say couch and I were good friends all day yesterday. BUT that didn't stop me from dragging my butt over to the mani table for a pretty nice manicure! My polish wifey Lori got me some really nice polishes in a little swap between us recently. She snagged me OPI's Take The Stage and Rising Star and I decided to do a nice little gradient with them. I love these metallic foil like finishes that OPI does. I wish I had every single one of them! I decided to go back to my primal roots with this mani and hauled out the leopard!
I made a few foil rings too readers. I ordered a few lucite rings from ebay and then transferred foils onto them. It's not easy but they do look pretty cool. Check out my Aztec Foil ring
Obviously it was made a bit ago hence the green nail polish LOL! BUT I didn't leave it like this I stamped over it--check it out!
I really like the stamping over it. I've done a few of these foil rings so I'll make sure to show you what I've come up with.
Now here's a nice flash close up of today's mani--SO sparkly!
To do this mani I did two coats of OPI Rising star and then sponged OPI Take The Stage on the tips and half way up the nail. Then I pulled out my trusty leopard image plate M57 and stamped using China Glaze Unplugged. I really like how it turned out and finally the green streak is over!
Here's a picture of the polishes I used left to right Take The Stage, Rising Star and Unplugged
So how was your St Patrick's Day readers? Did you celebrate with good food and friends and family? I hope you did!

Foiled take II you don't get fooled again!
Hi Readers! I'm featuring another stamping over foils mani today! And like my title says I didn't get fooled this time. I had absolutely no issues with them this time because I waited a full five minutes or more before applying the foils and they went on like a dream!
This time I managed to take pics of the foiling before the stamping!
This is Aztec Gold isn't is gorgeous???!!!
It's SO prismatic and shiney!
Here's a close up!
Now true story readers I was at a spaghetti luncheon today to help out my sweet niece Alex. I nearly blinded her mom, my little sister, Lynelle and a few others in the room with these nails lol! When I got home I stamped over them hoping to tame them a bit but still keep their bite. Hmmmmm what would be the best stamping image to do that?
BAM M57 to the rescue! ROAR!
I thought I'd show off the right hand again for a change lol! Don't you ever wonder if bloggers only paint their picture hand? I always sport a two handed mani lol!
Again I really love how the stamping on foils looks!
I was lucky enough to win a raffle item at the fund raiser! Trust me when I tell you this is rare. I'm the person putting it a zillion dollars for the raffle items and coming home with bupkiss. This time though I won something and check it out!! Is this not perfect for a mani/pedi lover??????
I did an awesome foot soak with the bath salts and foot scrubs with my new goodies. Don't worry readers I'll spare you the foot pics!
Thanks for stopping by! I hope you all have a fantastic day!

Frugality at it's finest!
Hi Readers! I guess I'm not really using the word frugal correctly here but I didn't want to say lazy lol! Sundays we stamp in our facebook group Adventures In Stamping. The challenge for Sunday was to use an image plate ending in the number 7. I have a few sets of plates but was loving my Magnetix raspberry polish so much I couldn't part with it SO I pulled out my trusty M57 and went with the zebra print over my Magnetix!!!! OMG LOVE!
What I love about it is you can still the magnetic design through the stamping!
I love holding them up like this and looking at them
Here's a flash close up!
I am just loving these Magnetix by Icing! Right now I feel like I need every single magnetic polish in the world!
So another two for the price of one today--gorgeous underwear with cool stamping AND a plate ending in 7! Win Win!!!!
Have you ever extended the wear on your current mani but adding something to it readers?? If yes what did you do to give it new life?
Thanks for stopping by! I hope you all have a fantastic day!

Hot Blooded Leopard
Hi Readers!
My mom has always had a great fashion sense. When we were kids growing up and even now she never has looked her age to me. She likes hip but also classy. I'm quite a bit bigger than my mom so I've never been able to wear her hand me downs BUT I do get the shoes she buys and wears once and her cast of purses! WOOT! I love going shoe and purse shopping with her because I can always tell the things I'm going to end up with eventually.
So naturally I was thrilled when this cool purse made it's way to me!
My friend Destany of Confessions of a Sarcastic Mom and I are BIG red lovers, especially Vampire State Building by OPI, so whenever we find a red we like we tell each other. She went one step further and sent me a LA Colors Craze called Hot Blooded. Instead of having a fever of a hundred and three I decided to use it in a mani! I went a step further and realized I could copy one of my favorite mani's from the beautiful and incredibly talented Kayla of Nails by Kayla Shevonne. You can check hers out there. But you can see mine here!
This is my first time trying a half moon mani using the reinforcement tabs you can find at the store. I think this mani is pretty chic if I do say so myself.
I laid it against the kitchen towel when I was done with the mani and like how it looks this way too
To get this look I did two coats of LA Colors Hot Blooded then topped it with a coat of Seche Vite. I applied the reinforcement tabs at the bottom then did one coat of Zoya Pasha. Another coat of Seche Vite and then I put the reinforcement tab back over the red and stamped with Sally Hansen Coco A Gogo using Konad M57. By covering the red with the tab I didn't have to worry about getting any of the stamping on it.
How about you readers--do you get any good hand me downs from your mom??
