Invasion of the body snatchers--someone look for the pod!

Hi Everyone!   Happy April Fools!  Lots of pretty silly things going on today in a few of the blogs I've seen this morning but definitely not one here.  I think my body has been snatched and that's no joke!  Suddenly I am liking pastels AND non sparkly textured polish!  What the french?!  I'm totally blaming my friend Michelle on my recent love of non sparkle textures thanks to her sending me a few bottles of the new Kiko Cupcakes.  These babies are pastel AND textured.  They are pretty cool, full of tiny little confetti sprinkles.

I decided to pair one up with a recent purchase from Elevation--the super lovely Twinkle In A Yeti's eye and I just love how this turned out!

Yeti is a super lovely teal blue with a pink almost fuchsia shimmer, just lovely!

It's a great color for Spring and Summer!

I paired him with the lovely Kiko 655 a light blue with confetti sprinkles.  Super love this polish!

And to give it a little stamping flare I hauled out my Nail Craze NC01 and did some dandelion stamping!

Pretty cute if I do say so myself!

Butterflies are free to fly

Hi Everyone!!  Happy Friday!  I sure am happy to see it here!  I don't have a whole lot planned for the weekend.  I'd like to get a few meals made up to have ready for work the next week.  I've been doing low carb and I'm in a bit of a rut so I'm looking for new recipes to give a whirl.  I'm especially wanting something different for breakfast.  You can only enjoy so much eggs and bacon for breakfast for crying out loud!  

To kick off this weekend right I thought it was time for another rim job!  Oh yeah you cannot go wrong with a good rim job I like to say.  That's a shout out to my gals and guys in WON!!!!  I did a gorgeous butterfly wing mani using OPI Golden Eye with OPI Sparkle-cious over it.  I loved it so much I've got shots of it without flash, with flash and shots of it in the car with the sun shining through the moon roof!!

How many times have you sat next to someone in a parking lot or at a streetlight and they were taking pictures of their nails??  If you answered at least once it might have been me you were sitting next too!

In case all these pics blinded you and you can't remember what I said about this mani I'll recap for you.  This is one coat of OPI Golden Eye with two coats of OPI Sparkle-cious (which I've had 2 years and never wore).  Stamped using Nail Craze plate NC01 and China Glaze Passion for the dots on the wings

Butterflies are free and . . . blue

Hi Everyone!! Hope everyone is having a great day.  I threw together this lovely holo butterfly mani and by threw together I mean it took me HOURS!  That is no lie.  I had no issues whatsoever with my gradient  the lovely China Glaze He's Going In Circles and LA Girls 3D Effect in Brilliant Blue, my issue was the analness that is me when it comes to stamping lol!  I got my Nail Craze NC01 butterfly wing plate FINALLY--I've been wanting it forever and I was finally able to order it!  I just had a lot of issues with placing it on my nail.  I didn't like it if too much black showed up, I didn't like it if not enough black showed up and don't get me started on how much dotting needed to go on the wing tips--it wasn't pretty people LOL!

Finally after nearly 3 hours I had 10 fingers I was happy with!

This really is quite a lovely mani

I can't wait to get my Jades in from Ninja Polish so I can do an orange and red  holo gradient with this image plate!!

All in all it was a dirty job but someone had to do it!!!
