Because he died, I live

As a Christian I always find this day so difficult.  Good Friday is the day we celebrate the crucifixion of Jesus Christ.  It seems so wrong to celebrate the death of our beloved Savior. But today we know because he died and took on the sins of the world this allows us to live on eternally.  As someone who has loved ones in Heaven this is something that gives me hope each and everyday.  Because I believe Jesus died for my sins I will be reunited once again with my beautiful sister, Lisa and my Dad.  Nothing gives me greater joy.

On the day my Savior died to forgive my sins I am humbled. I've never felt worthy of such a sacrifice

The sacrifice he made, frees me

Hi Everyone! A happy Good Friday to you all.  As a Christian today I recognize the day Jesus Christ was crucified on the cross, taking upon himself the sins of the world to ensure we would all have eternal life.  It's hard to call it a celebration because there was suffering, but a celebration it is because of his sacrifice I have eternal life.

This time of year just like Christmas I try to focus on what the holiday really means to me.  Through my nail art I just don't have it in me to show Easter chicks and Easter Bunnies because it's not what the holiday means to me.  While I find all of those manicures completely adorable I need to reflect what's in my own heart.

Today I am wearing my Good Friday nails and thinking of the ultimate sacrifice Jesus made for me.  I truly believe I am not worthy and don't know that I ever will be.  I am, however, oh so grateful.  One day I will be with my beautiful sister again and will be in the loving arms of my dad.  This is not a sacrifice I take lightly as those two things mean the world to me.

I used some of my Sharpie markers over a  base of Sinful Colors Unicorn for my base.  I think it turned out beautiful.
I think we all know I don't do free hand well, but I was able to recreate a picture I found for inspiration!
It is hard to fathom sometimes that as Christians we rejoice in the death of our Lord, it's almost barbaric.  But through his death is the way we can truly live and for that there is definitely a reason to celebrate and rejoice.  Through him we are forgiven
Blessings to you all on this day!

Happy Easter!

Good Morning!  A very Happy Easter to everyone this morning!  I hope your day is spent with family and loved ones.  May you feel and receive the many blessings from our Lord on this day and everyday!
Happy Easter to you all!  I'll be celebrating this day looking at a beautiful sun shinning day seeing Spring start to spread, and spending time with my loved ones and friends.

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter Everyone!  I hope this day, which is a blessed and joyous day for me, finds all of you well. It's hard sometimes to get caught up in the commercial cuteness that we see for Christmas and Easter, and despite the fact Spring is a great time for pastels and bunnies and chickies, I wanted my mani to reflect the true way I see Easter.  I say all the time, and do firmly believe it, while I am so not worthy of the sacrifice made for me--through his death I have eternal life, I am SO thankful.

This simple mani reflects Good Friday and the days that followed.

My index is a gradient done with white, grey and a touch of black at the tip and stamping in black with SH15, my swear is the lovely A England Bridal Veil (one of my fave blacks), my rind is Bridal Veil and my stone is the gorgeous Chilled Down from Dandy Nails, finally my pinkie Daisy Does It with white stamping using BM301.

May this day find you with peace, love, and joy in your heart.  He is Risen!  Alleluia!

No greater love

Hi Everyone!  Today's mani is a thankful reminder my Savior died so that I might live eternally.  Through him I have the chance to be reunited once again with my beautiful sister, Lisa and my wonderful father.  On this Good Friday I hope you all have peace in your heart.

I used the lovely Zoya Jo for this mani and then my accent finger is the scene on Calvary
Here's a side by side with the picture I used for my inspiration

Thanks for stopping!  I hope you all enjoy this day!

Happy Easter!

Hi Readers and a happy Easter to you all.  I know there have been many cute Easter mani's going around from dotted skittles to pastel water marbling to cute chicks and even Amber's awesome eaten tail and ears mani.  Not that I'm not about the cute but Easter is more than that to me.  I needed to do something I felt in my heart so I had to break into Monkey See, Monkey Do week to show you my Easter mani.  It's a two part mani as Easter itself is two parts.
Part I
Here's a close up of my thumb and the Calvary scene
I wore this mani for Good Friday as well as Saturday.  Saturday night I did part II
In these days of walking on egg shells to be politically correct I don't want to be today.  Today I am grateful for the gift of eternal life and the chance to be reunited once again with my beautiful sister Lisa who died from breast cancer in 2009.
I had visioned my resurrection scene a bit different--fyi it's hard to freehand a stone being rolled away from a tomb lol!  Here's a a complete unskewed view of my resurrection
Out of the sadness and the darkness there came great joy and light!

Here's picture of both mani's together
This was truly a labor of love readers--a freehand attempt from someone not skilled.  I do think they are both quite lovely though.

I hope you all have a wonderfully happy and blessed Easter--may you find joy and happiness today in the fellowship of family and friends.

AND because I still have a few mani's I copied from my fave bloggers it looks like Monkey See, Monkey Do week is getting a sequel already next week!

Thanks for stopping by!! I hope you all have a fantastic day!
