Hi Everyone! Happy Monday to you. This week The Digit-al Dozen is giving props to their nail heroes. I think this week is going to be really exciting as we are all so different and have different styles, it's going to be awesome to see who has really inspired us.
Today The Digit-al Dozen is playing homage to our fearless leader. She started The Digit-al Dozen with a vision for many different talents to come together and represent a common theme. It has been so much fun. It's not always fun picking the themes but in the end it makes you reach and grow as a nail artist.
Debbie isn't just a part of my life because of Digit-al Dozen, she also formed the Facebook group Adventures In Stamping many many many moons ago and that's where we first me. While we live far apart--she's British! Facebook allows us to have a friendship. We share many of the same likes--Doctor Who, cats and of course nail art we also have some differences. I know she will tell you I am a strong woman, but she is an incredibly brave strong woman with a huge heart.
We both fell in love with Messy Mansion's MM20 plate when it first came out so today I recreated a mani she did with it.
Debbie did something I like to do, she extended a mani by stamping over an existing
She did a Northern Lights mani for The Digit-al Dozen Does Countries and then stamped over it. Seriously MM20 makes any single mani you've done look better
I didn't have any of the colors Debbie used so I had to search my drawers and surprisingly the holos were frankens I made way back when LOL
I wish mine was a vibrant as Debbie's but it isn't. Here's a picture of hers
And then here's mine trying her hand pose which is not easy for me
Debbie as the Crumpet is a well known and respected woman in the blogging community. In my heart she is my friend and today she is my nail hero

The Digit-al Dozen Does Neon--Monkey See, Monkey Do Monday The Polished Pineapple!
Hi Everyone! Happy Monday! This week is neon week for The Digit-al Dozen. I don't know about any of your but neon is not big on my to do list when it comes to nail polish. I don't know why but it might be because I'm more of a dark colors, Fall season lover than I am bright colors and Summer season. My friend Jennifer aka The Polished Pineapple did this totally cool neon mani awhile back with China Glaze Flip Flop Fantasy. I still have the old version which makes me happy because that was one kick ass neon polish! I decided to recreate Jen's mani only I tweaked mine a bit so it would match my work clothes. She used light grey for her stamping but I went with the dark
Check out how cool this is!
Nothing says neon like me having to take pics of it in the shade for it to look right LOL! One of these days I might just not eat for two months and buy and DSLR camera but not today!
I'm pretty sure China Glaze Flip Flop Fantasy was the first neon I ever bought!
This is super bright and really fun actually.
I stamped with one of my new favorite plates GoGo Only St Merry
You can find The Polished Pineapple on FB HERE She is super duper nice and comes up with some awesome mani's! If you are on IG you find her there as well!!
I know a lot of my Digit-al Dozen friends love neon so this week is sure to be a good one!

Monkey See, Monkey Do Monday--Chalkboard Nails!
Hi Everyone!!! Happy Monday! A super long time ago I saw this cool mani done by Sarah over at Chalkboard Nails. Sarah has mad skills and most of the time I can't come close to doing something by her BUT then I got "the grass plate" The grass plate is one of those funky kind of plates you find on Aliexpress and need it but you aren't sure when you'll ever use it. I got it AGES ago in a group buy through a FB group and I finally hauled it out so I could do a scenery manicure. Then I remembered Sarah's lovely fireflies at sunset and BAM a star was born!
I did a gradient with Elevation Grand Sunset Teton and Nails Inc Brompton Place and Brook Street. I have no idea if you can even find the infamous grass plate on AE anymore but it is CZ08 if you feel compelled to look
I'm a little sad my fireflies didn't photograph better I decided not to use a bright yellow and I think that might have been my downfall
Here's my thumb getting in on the action too
You can find Sarah's original post HERE But I was smart enough to do a nice side by side comparison
I was so excited to be able recreate this beautiful mani from Chalkboard Nails AND use my grass plate finally!
Thanks for stopping by!! I hope you all have a fantastic day!

The Digit-al Dozen Does Geometric--Monkey See, Monkey Do Monday--online search!
Hi Everyone! OMG can you even believe how long the title of today's post is?? This week is the Digit-al Dozen's Geometric week. I don't know about anyone else but when I found out about it I just UG. Even though I have a million zillion plates with geometric designs you just really want to come up with something cool and original. Thankfully since it's Monday I didn't have to come up with anything original at all! All I had to do was recreate something I found online for Monkey See, Monkey Do Monday post WOOT!
So a super duper long time ago when I first started stamping my nails I found this picture online. I saved it onto my computer where it's sat for four years now. I recently ran across it while cleaning up some of my computer pictures and thought "hey! this would be perfect for geometric week" and so I recreated it!
I seriously first fell in love with this design when I first got into "stamping"
I basically never tried to recreate it because A I really don't like dotting and B I really don't like tape mani's LOL!
Aaaaaaand I was basically too lazy to tape this which is why my lines aren't as sharp as they could be
Black and white though how cool is that???!
This was honestly a perfect mani to do to kick off geometric week!
Here's the picture I found years ago. I tried to find it again doing a search but it didn't come up! There's is no watermark to be found on this baby--such a shame as I'd love to credit the original owner of this kick ass mani. If you know who it is please let me know!
I tried to recreate the hand pose as well, mine didn't turn out so great
What do you think??? Here they are side by side
I can't wait to check out what everyone else came up with for their first day!!!!

The Digit-al Dozen Does Childhood--Monkey See Monkey Do Monday--@cassis_p !!!
Hi Everyone!! Happy Monday to all! This week is Childhood week for the
Digit-al Dozen. I'm pretty sure we are going to see lots of different interpretations for this week which is always exciting. For me I totally looked at this theme as being something that reminds me of my childhood. How amazing is it that I can finally do a mani I saw Cassis P do awhile ago and have it fit in with this week's theme???
Trust me IT IS AMAZING!
So here's my back story before I post the pics of my mani. When I was a young girl it was my dream to be a missionary in Africa where I would ride along teaching the African natives all about Jesus in my Winnebago. I was really into the TV show Tarzan with Ron Ely when I was young so I just knew if anything were to happen to me in the safaris of Africa like a lion trying to eat me or me falling into quick sand I could just call for Tarzan and he would save me. Enter a young girl's heart crushing when her father had to tell her that Tarzan wasn't real. I think I was more terrified of slowly drowning in quick sand than the lions attacking so that reality smack had me giving up the missionary life pretty quick.
Nothing says a father's love like a man having to crush your dreams LOL. My poor dad you know he just wanted a boy in there somewhere but that didn't happen.
I have fond memories of the time I wanted to drive around in my Winnebago in Africa though and really did love watching Tarzan as a young girl. I'm sure it had a lot to do with the fact Cheetah was super cool and who didn't want a monkey as a pet when they were a kid???
My mani today is a Safari silhouette with a huge shout out to Cassis P on both youtube and instagram for being the brilliant one to come up with this way cool effect!
This was definitely a labor intensive mani as you have to use the decal method and believe it or not this is just black stamping over white and then some sheer jellies sponged over it to give it color!
I followed Cassis' tutorial on youtube and it was actually really easy to do. If you haven't seen her tutorial you can find it HERE
I've got an ostrich on my thumb!
MoYou Explorer 23 plate has some really awesome Safari images I'm sure I will use this plate often
Getting my gorgeous Safari colors was really easy with the sheer jellies from 10.1 Polish too.
Here's a picture of the mani Cassis did and the one I fell in love with when she first posted it
So there you have it, day 1 of the Digit-al Dozen Does Childhood for me a reminder of the time in my young life when I wanted to cruise around in Africa and hopefully being saved by Tarzan.
I'm going to head over and see what my fab friends came up with for Childhood week!

Monkey See, Monkey Do Monday--@Firefly5!
Hi Everyone!!! Happy Monday! Good thing I had my flower power mani on yesterday because today we have snow again! Not as bad as other areas in Wisconsin have I think we only got an inch or so but still our green grass is looking like a white blanket again. The good news is with it being March and almost the end of March this snow is definitely not going stick around.
Today is the Monkey See, Monkey Do Challenge in the Advanced Nail Stamping group. The group we all lovingly refer to as the ANUS group because despite being adults we are all totally juvenile lol! A few of us got together and recreated a favorite mani we had seen from each other or online somewhere. I knew right away what mani I was going to recreate. My fab friend @firefly5 over on Instagram has the coolest manicures ever. I just love her. AND she's super nice so I really wanted to try to recreate something I had seen her do several months ago for a MoYou Contest.
Here's what I came up with
Yep just look at this! I had to decal the heck out of this baby!
It wasn't easy I swear there is not a brush skinny enough to ever do something like this!
I used one of my new XL Bundle Monster plates though and loved it!
This is the XL03 plate it's really cool
Here's a close up of the mani
See what I mean about the skinny brush??? OH MY LANTA!
Now here's my inspiration the super cool mani by @firefly5
Why I love hers--it's so bright and cheery! She switched up her colors instead of doing strictly rainbow colors in order like I did. I guess I just don't have her creativity LOL!
Here's a side by side pic of them
She holds that blue thing in all her pictures. I have no idea what it is! I should ask her. I had to improvise with a bottle.
I love doing Monkey See, Monkey Do mani's they are a lot of fun!

Monkey See Monkey Do Monday--Sveta (again)
Hi Everyone! Happy Monday! I'm showcasing another way cool mani I saw over on Sveta Sanders Instagram. I get a bigger crush on her as every new mani is posted by her!
This one looks easy but it wasn't! I just don't know how Sveta gradients the way she does because I have a heck of a time with these "sideways" gradients! Today I've got on CND Vinylux Cream Puff and 6 Harts Mountains Nights. I topped it with OPI's The Man With The Golden Gun
I have the hardest time with these types of gradients so I think this is something I will practice on and hopefully master in 2015!
I stamped with MoYou Sailer 07
I like how you can still see the gold flakes through the stamping
You can find this design over on Sveta's Instagram page--she is amazing!
I'm working on an idea for New Year's Eve next--hope you'll tune in to see what I come up!

The Digit-al Dozen Does Summer--Monkey See, Monkey Do Monday--Adventures In Acetone!
Hi Everyone!!
OMG I am SO excited about today's post. First of all I have the day off today. Despite having the day off I still got up at 5:30 am! UG! I laid in bed and read for a little bit and then I decided it was now or never to try one of the fabulous Jacki from Adventures In Acetone's mani's. I rarely copy Jacki because she is just so talented. I've known her forever! Since my first days of loving nail art and stamping and she's always SO encouraging. So I decided what better day to try than today.
This week for the Digit-al Dozen our theme is summer. What better thing to do in the summer is take a nice visit to our Racine Zoo down by the lake? That's exactly what we did on Saturday! Grandma Great, Tee Tee Nel & Uncle Chris and AJ , and Tee Tee Laurie all took Sean down to see the zoo for his first time and we had a blast.
Here are my zoo nails that I copied from the fabulous Jacki over at Adventures In Acetone!!!
I seriously cannot believe I was able to do it!
It's quite adorable!
Here's thumbie he got Mr Elephant
I'm really not a good free hand person so this is quite monumental for me! We are going back to the zoo the end of August to see the baby tigers and lions so I might just have to put this on again so Sean can see it!
Here's a cute pic of Grandma Great, Sean and Tee Tee Nel in the train taking a little ride around the zoo!
I can't wait for Jacki to see this but first I need to get over and check out what my fab friends have come up with this week for The Digit-al Dozen Does Summer!

Monkey See, Monkey Do Monday---Beaching Nails!
Hi Everyone!!! Happy Monday!! I got to spend some time with my friend Emily yesterday and we had a blast! We really wanted to try some new techniques to the stamping world and were able to do a couple quite successfully! The other day my friend Beaching Nails showed a sneak peek mani she had done with the new icing polishes from 10.1 polish. I was blown away! I mean omg it was gorgeous. I decided to try to recreate it.
First of all I made up some sheer tints using some old China Glaze neons I had
Next up I painted my nails with 2 coats of OPI My Vampire Is Buff. Then I applied the sheers randoming "splodging" them all over my nails. I stamped in black using the BuNa B plate from Bunny Nails and look at it!
Oooooooh Ahhhhhhhhh! This is so pretty!
Ha check out Emily's porch! I tried to get some sunny shots but it was behind a cloud LOL!
As you can see I did matte it because I felt like it really added to the look
It turned out just beautiful. But not as beautiful as Beach's! Trust me!!! Here's a pic of her's
Beached used the new Icing collex from 10.1 Polish and look how lovely it turned out! I'm definitely going to snag that collection and guess what it's available now right HERE
Here's a side by side shot of mine and Beach's
What a pretty look and honestly not hard to achieve at all!
You may have seen Beaching Nails as she's all over the place but if you haven't seen her on Facebook check out her blog HEREhttp://beachingnails.blogspot.com/
Have you tried any of the sheer polishes out there? Have you made any of your own? What about this technique have you tried it yet?
Thanks for stopping by!! I hope you all have a wonderful day!
