The Digit-al Dozen Does Fandom---Goooooooooo Packers!

Hi Everyone!  Oooh this week is off to a rip roaring start for me!  I was struggling to come up with another idea for Fandom week when BAM it hit me! Why not do the true meaning of fandom--fans as in football fans and the best football team there is has the best football fans--that's right us cheeseheads are the best fans evah!

Right now smack dab in the middle of the Stanley Cup playoffs and on the heels of the Belmont Stakes I'm hauling out my football mani LOL!
Hey preseason is starting up soon!!!!! And I can't wait!
I did a radial gradient with Sinful Colors Bananappeal and Illamasqua Rampage then I stamped with my custom plate from Fig Tree as well as CiCi & SiSi.  I just love it!!!
I can't wait for the new season to start!!!

I'm heading over to check out what my peeps did for their day 2!

Doubling Down with Darling Diva!

Hi Everyone!  Happy weekend!  This upcoming week is going to be one filled with Halloween I'm sure!  We've had a really nice weekend with lots of sunshine and it actually hit 60 the other day too so nice to be able to have the windows open.  You know these days are coming few and far between.

Today I'm sharing a couple of cool mani's I did all Halloween related with 2 Darlings Diva's.  The good news is Darling Diva is having a 20% off sale today through midnight and I'll be sure to link her store and the code after the pics!

First up is The Immortal a gorgeous holo topper with charcoal flakies.  I chose to wear it alone not over anything and did 2 generous coats.  I just love it!  I did some stamping with my DRK-A plate to  give it a wallpaper look.  Then decided to add some ghosts and a demon to it for that perfect Halloween feel!
Isn't this a stunning holo topper???
I decided to add the ghosts and demon to it just based on the name of the polish LOL!
I think I will try layering this over some of my dark fall polishes--definitely over a dark red to see how it looks

The Immortal is part of Darling Diva's WitchEE Collection

Next up is Are We On Cops?  Which is a charcoal black holo with red micro glitter in it.
My favorite thing about it is definitely the red glitters!

I found this picture on line and that's what I used for my inspiration
How'd I do?
Are We On Cops?  Is part of Darling Diva's The Pageant Collection

Now for the cool part! Darling Diva is having a sale now until Midnight tonight!  If you use the code FALL20 you will save 20% from your order.  She has a new collection out as well The Salem collection all with gorgeous dark colors just perfect for fall

To get to her store go HERE

Thanks so much for stopping by!!! I hope you all have a fantastic day!!

The Digit-al Dozen Does Floral--That 70's Swag!

Hi Everyone!! Happy Wednesday!  I'm not going to lie to you all but this floral week is killing me.  I am really not a floral person!  I mean come on!  How many times have you seen me posting some floral mani's????? Not very often that's for sure!  I am just having a really hard time coming up with something that looks great.  I mean come on have you seen the rest of the mani's everyone is doing?  SMH . . . .

I asked my friends the other night what colors would look good with a nice bright turquoise holo and my friend Ashley spouted off hot pink, yellow and purple.  So hot pink, yellow and purple it is!
So the downside to this pretty bright 70's throwback look was it's been pouring cats and dogs out so no sunlight pic for this pretty holo from Darling Diva
This is the pretty Take Down The God Damn Freda Sign from DDP's Pageant Collection.  If you love it you can find it HERE

It's very bright and just plain gorgeous!
My flowers are from CiCi & SiSi and I used the decal method.  I can handle the decal method when it's easy like this one!
I'm going to pop over and get insanely jealous by everyone else's stuff, come with me!

Lotsa Dotsa!!

Hi Everyone!!! Happy glorious weekend to you!  The theme this week in the advanced nail stamping group is dotticures.  Let me just start off by saying this--unlike my fab friend Debbie aka The Crumpet I am not a fan of the dotticure.  Oh don't get me wrong, I love looking at dotticures.  I love seeing what everyone else can come up with when it comes to dotticures, as for me actually doing them--I am a huge failure.

Everyone always comes up with these great ideas and these amazing color combinations but not me.  While I definitely have the "bad picker" gene I certainly do lack the "good dotter" gene.

Here's what makes the dotticure theme this week all the more horrible--I'm the one who picked the theme! OMG yes how was I this stupid?

Everyone else in the group pretty much knocked this week out of the ball park.  I'll share my pretty tame dotting mani's with you and you can be the judge of whether or not my "good dotter" gene is missing.

First up a dotted gradient I did with a bunch of oranges sitting next to me.  This one was born basically out of being too lazy to get up and look for other colors

It just didn't move it, so the next day I stamped over it with the Pueen Encore set
Naturally I like it much better with the stamping over it but i also think it's because the colors look great with black.

From a distance you can't even tell there are dots under the stamping
So this one was okay after I stamped on it

Next since I decided how much I liked stamping over dots I did another one with full on stamping over them in mind
I wish I knew how to make my camera take pics of blurple's but it just does happen.  But how cute is this?!!!
I dotted with some fun colors and then put on Sally Hansen Pacific Blue to go along with them
Some CiCi & SiSi stamping makes it pretty great I think.

I do find I enjoy a stamped look over my dots.  I'm going to play around with this look more often I think.

The week's not over yet either!  I'm hoping to get a couple more dotticures done before the weekend is over.

What do you guys think?  Do you like your dots straight up--or do you like stamping over them?

The Digit-al Dozen Does Summer--Margarita nails!

Hi Everyone!!!  A happy Tuesday to you all.  Today I've got on a lot of sparkle.  I rarely buy nail polish at Sally Beauty Supply but this is one I just had to snag.  They had them up at the checkout when I was in buying acetone and my big o bag of cotton balls and it really caught my eye.  The name of it is Hyperactive and it's by Cinapro.  I thought it would be perfect for margarita nails because who isn't drinking some margaritas by the pool on a hot day??!!!

This is actually a textured polish I topcoated which is very rare for me!
It's full on neon yellow metallic hexes as well as micro neon yellow matte glitter.  A really unique combination
I did some stamping with CiCi  & SiSi as well as BM308.  I really like how this turned out almost as much as I love a margarita on the rocks!

Time to check out what all my fab friends have come up with for today!

Orange you glad it's Monday?

Hi Everyone!! Happy Monday!  A funny thing happened on the way to me putting polishes away in my melmer.  The first thing I did instead of putting away the 6 or 7 polishes I had out was go through my purple drawer to find what I just really wasn't wearing anymore so I could weed them out.  I pulled out about 8 I know I'm never going to wear so I'm definitely going to share these with someone who will.  Then I noticed I have quite a few really pretty oranges that I just don't wear so I decided to wear orange everyday this week!  Wow! This is going to be SO hard for me because I don't have any orange clothes! OMG I am going to clash every single day this week.  CAN I DO IT?!  I don't know but you'll be along with me for the ride so we both shall see.

The Sunday challenge for the AIS facebook group was tigers yesterday.  Hey tigers are sort of orange so how perfect is that?  After seeing pics of all the way cool true tiger designs I decided I wanted to step outside the box and do something a little different.  I started with a base of Zoya Myrta and Cult Nails Captivated and then enlisted my pink CiCi & SiSi for some stamping
I like this one!  I think it turned out pretty cool
My friend Ana told me it was very Cincinnati Bengals looking!  I might have to utilize this look again for football season!
What do you think when you see it?  Does it say tiger to you or definitely not at all?

How about your orange stash?  How is it looking?  Do you have any real beauties in there that only get love during Halloween?  If so you should haul them out and wear some right now!

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope you all have a fabulous day!

Penguin Party!

Hi Everyone!!!! Happy Friday!!!  So glad the weekend is upon us!  I don't have plans to do much at all either.  Sunday I'm going to a wine tasting at my friend Angelika's and I haven't seen her for awhile so I'm really looking forward to that.

I also got in the entire Icing collection from 10.1 Polish and I can't wait to do some mani's with it!  I've seen some great stuff done by Beaching Nails so I just needed these polishes in my life!

This whole week the theme in my advanced nail stamping group on Facebook was penguins.  OMG penguins!  It's really hard to think of some mani's to do with penguins not in a traditional winter setting, which is what I wanted to do because it's summer here LOL!

This is the first one I came up with. Just some cute stamping with BM418 and some CiCi & SiSi
I decal'd the penguins and I think my lil guy on the left looks like he wound end up with a broken nose LOL!
So far for the week I've done 3 penguin mani's.  Challenge ends on Sunday so I'm not sure if I'll do one more or not but I am happy to say none of them have any snow in them!!

Thanks for stopping by!! I hope you all have a great weekend!

My boyfriend and I got matching tattoos!

Hi Everyone!! Happy Friday!!!  For those of you who might know me you know that my current heart throb is the gorgeous Jason Momoa.  My friend Emily challenged me the other day to do a nail design like the tribal tattoo Jason has on his arm.  Naturally I had to accept the challenge!  First up a couple of pics of the beautiful Jason and has arm tattoo
Nice tattoo!
Even nice incredibly hot guy!!!

Because Jason is Hawaiian I wanted to do something with an Island feel to go along with my tattoo
I started with an easy gradient of yellow and blue to give me my 3 colors of yellow, green and blue.  Next I enlisted Dashica SdP A for the thumb, index and pinkie and used CiCi & SiSi 10 for the middle finger.  To recreated exactly Jason's tattoo I used my black sheer and stamped with BM423 and then matted it for a "skin" look.
The results are amazing!  I love it and think it's perfect!!  Here's a little collage to show everyone all together!
Challenge accepted Emily!!!!  This mani turned out so great this is definitely one I'll be wearing for more than a day!

What do you think?  Do you think this mani is perfect or can you hardly see it sitting next to such an incredibly hot gorgeous man??!

Thanks for stopping by!! I hope you all have a fantastic day!

Butterflies are free to fly!

Hi Everyone!  Happy Monday!  I was going through my Picasa album last night getting rid of pictures I just don't need to keep and I ran across my first ever glitter nail decal and I cannot believe I did share this mani with you!  It turned out SO great!

I'm not really big on decals because A they are just way too time consuming and B no matter what I always seem to get air bubbles when I do them.  But I had just gotten a bottle of Red Dog's Floral Flourish and I loved it and thought maybe it would be the gorgeous backdrop for some decaling.

I was totally right!
This is a really spectacular glitter topper.  It is full of colors, 17 different glitters in all!  My favorite thing about is the the rose copper colored glitters.  It just gives it a real Victorian feel to me.  It is stunning.

Here's the decal I made using CiCi & SiSi 07 and Floral Flourish

I decided to put this over a base of OPI's My Vampire Is Buff
My reverse accent nails are OPI's Taupe-less Beach
I think pairing this gorgeous multi colored glitter with the nude family was a brilliant idea!
I want to point out that I really let this decal dry before removing it.  I wanted my glitter coat to be dry so I wouldn't have any issues trying to peel it off.  I also was pretty generous with a few coats of top coat to make sure I had a nice firm but pliable decal.

Floral Flourish is from the Butterfly Garden collection over at Red Dog.  You can buy it HERE  In addition to this great polish there are several different finishes in the collection!  A yellow suede!!!  And some gorgeous shimmers and a lovely holo.  Check em out!

I don't know that I'll be a decaling fool but this one made me quite happy.

Thanks for stopping by!! I hope you all have a fantastic day!

Exxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxtend A Mani!

Hi Everyone!!! Happy Sunday!  Another glorious day here in sunny and pleasantly warm Wisconsin!  I survived my 4k walk, my feet don't even hurt AND I get to spend some time with my friend Emily today making up some sheer polishes and leadlighting our guts out!  But before I do that I want to show you how I extended my neon gradient mani from yesterday.  I simply stamped over it!

My friend Sheila from the Pointless Cafe blog is who taught me all about extending a mani.  I'm really glad I decided to do that with this mani because I think it only added to it and now it's so gorgeous!

I love how you can still see all the colors of the gradient with this stamping!
It's still so colorful!
It drives my niece, Alex, crazy when I stamp over my neon gradients LOL!  I just think it makes them look better
How about you--do you like stamping over a gradient or just leaving it plain?
Here's a collage of the mani sans stamping
And then here's a collage with the stamping which do you like better?
It's a tough decision!

I'm excited to hang out with Emily today and even more excited to share the results of my leadlighting attempts!

Thanks for stopping by!! I hope you all have a fantastic day!

Rich in life!

Hi Everyone!  Happy Hump Day to you all!  It's a short week this week with Monday being a holiday, let's just hope it doesn't start dragging on Friday.  I'm doing a 4k walk on Saturday and then enjoying some nice brats on the grill afterwards and so far it looks like it's going to be a perfect day for it!

I hope everyone is having a good week so far, the Summer season is coming up on us, for some of you it's already in full blast and others are probably heading into Winter.  No matter the season this polish I have on is perfect!

I finally got one of the Magical Pixie Dusts from Zoya for their fabulous Earth Day special and oh my word this one is STUNNING!  The is the super gorgeous and very sparkly Zoya Lux
People are asking all the time in The Adventures In Stamping group on facebook if you can stamp over a textured polish--the answer is hell yes you can stamp over them and you should stamp over them!
Some people say the Magical Pixie's are too chunky for them but I love this one!  I plan on getting them all because why break up a family???!!!
I stamped over this beauty with plates Cici & SiSi 02 and 05
You have to be careful with this polish though because all you do is stare at it on your fingers which makes driving dangerous!
What a lovely rose gold--I really love this polish.  I don't find the Pixie Dusts hard to remove at all either so this is just a win/win all the way around!

Thanks for stopping by!! I hope you all have a fantastic day!
