Hi Everyone and welcome to Friday! Woot!!!! On our for the weekend is seeing the new Star Trek Movie--Into Darkness. I'm an old school Star Trek gal--I've watched them all but still hold a special fondness for the original cast and crew. Chris Pine is certainly no hardship to look at though!
I've been slacking in my Pinterest Recipe of the week meals so I'm also planning on rectifying that this weekend as well. I might even tackle a meal AND a dessert!
I've got a mani today I feel like I got a little carried away with. At first I just had some nice striping with Illamasqua Muse, white, and China Glaze He's Going In Circles but then I felt it needed some dots
It's still pretty cute but suddenly it seems so "busy" to me
I cannot get over how much I love Illamasqua Muse though, it had been on my wish list forever!
It's pretty much the best teal in the entire universe!
I still haven't mastered the larger to smaller dots thing yet though. It's just too hard to keep up an easy flow with my movement. I'll have to keep working on it!
I hope everyone has a great weekend! It's Prom here and my nephew and his lovely girlfriend are going. We do have some rain in the forecast so let's just hope it doesn't ruin picture day OR all those well coiffed girls going to prom!

How about a sweet treat?
Hi Everyone! got a super cute mani to show you today! I picked up a couple of the Berry Friends from Red Dog Designs awhile back. This is a collection based on the Strawberry Shortcake cartoon. I'm pretty old so my glory days definitely did not have Strawberry Shortcake and Friends in it that I can recall, but holy cow are these some pretty polishes!
I'm not a fan of glitters in a colored base--which is why the whole "indie" craze has eluded me or rather I've managed to elude it BUT these two I snagged are simply AHdorable! I chose Lemon Meringue and Raspberry Tart from the collection and I have to tell you, I will definitely get all of these as they are just fantastic!
I started with a lovely gradient of Sinful Colors Unicorn, Zoya Pippa and Sinful Pull Over--same gradient I used for my accent nail on my Beauty And The Beast mani. As far as yellow gradients go, it's my go to favorite now. I did some cute stamping over it and then did a couple of accent nails of Lemon Meringue!
What makes me so happy about this mani is usually yellow looks awful on me because I am so pale, but I think this looks great on me!
Red Dog's Lemon Meringue is a fun polish with bright yellow base with an iridescent gold shimmer and then glitter of white and green hex, gold circle glitter and small dark gold glitter. It's just super fun!
I stamped a few citrus images on my accent gradient and topped em off with a rhinestone!
And since we had an 80 degree weather here yesterday I think it's safe to say we're on on our way to summer so this mani makes it all the more fun!!!
The Berry Friends collection is available on Red Dog Designs Big Cartel. You can find them HERE. As I said earlier I'm definitely going to be snagging up some more of these!
Thanks for stopping by!! I hope you all have a fantastic day!

I like it so much, but I didn't put a ring on it!
Hi Everyone! I was loving my Zoya Irresistibles matted SO MUCH I decided to keep em!! I stamped over them using my GALS set I got for my birthday in February lol! My son bought them for me and I could never wear them because my nails were so long. I guess that's the good thing about getting an occasional break!
I really love the look of these polishes matted! The are gorgeous!
Usually yellow doesn't look good on me, but Kerry is just stunning even on me!!
Even in the dark shade these are "hot" colors!
I'm definitely going to take the time to go back and mattefy all my Zoya metallics and foil finish polishes!!!
I stamped over this gorgeous skittles mani with Gals35 and I think the result is pretty schnazzy!
I've decided to set up a mini storage for all the newer colors I've gotten so I can actually use them! This means we should finally see something with the China Glaze Hologlam's, Ruby Wing, and Kiko Sugar Mat's not to mention the new Zoya's!!
Thanks for stopping by!! I hope you all have a fantastic day!

Monkey See, Monkey Do Monday--Pointless Cafe!!
Hi Everyone!!! Happy Monday! I'm wearing a skittles mani today with the lovely Zoya Irresistible Collection. When I first got these babies I said to myself, ooooh I bet these are going to look fabulous matte. Wellllllll someone beat me to it! The lovely Sheila from Pointless Cafe did this awhile back and of course I was in love with them!
Ooooh they are so stunning with a matte polish over them! Hazel and Rikki almost remind me of a suede finish when they are matted!
Here is Rikki, Amy, Hazel and Bobbi--index to pinkie
And here's the lovely Kerry on thumbie!
Zoya does an OUTSTANDING job with their foil finish polishes!!
Sheila did a fabulous post with them all with shiny topcoat and it's also where I saw her do them matte! Check it out HERE
My collage isn't anywhere near as good as her's since I don't have a fancy camera but I had to copy it none the less!
Zoya keeps putting out super gorgeous polishes for the summer that's for sure!
You should always try to matte a foil or metallic finish!!! You won't be sorry!

Tale As Old As Time
Hey Everyone!! Happy Mother's Day to all my readers who are moms! Today's challenge theme for Adventures In Stamping is Your Favorite Fairy Tale. Yikes! I'm not kidding when I say I didn't really have a favorite fairy tale growing up. I'm pretty old, so we didn't have all the wonderful Disney movies when I was a kid. Bambi, Dumbo, Sleeping Beauty, Snow White, Cinderella that was pretty much it. And while I didn't have much of a fascination with them I really LOVED Tarzan LOL! When I was a young girl it was dream to be a Missionary in Africa driving around in my Winnebago. I always figured if I got into any trouble, like fall in quick sand or almost getting eaten by a lion that Tarzan would swoop down and save me. My poor dad had to break it to his daughter, Tarzan wasn't real. OH THE HORROR!
My sweet friend Jin says the reason I love all my "mommy porn" books is because of the Tarzan fascination. She tells me all guys in my "mommy porn" books are like Tarzan LOL! She might be right! I do so love my big alpha males!
Okay so no Tarzan for me, I mean how would I stamp Tarzan? And he's not remotely similar to a fairy tale at all--so next up to bat is my favorite Fairy Tale brought to movie--Beauty And The Beast. How can anyone not love a tale about a girl looking past the outside of a man to fall in love with the inside? How does anyone not love the message of a story when it's "true love conquers all"?
So with that in mind I give you my interpretation of Beauty And The Beast
I sort of stayed within the color realm of blue and yellow for this one
And I have to say I think my yellow gradient is a really awesome gradient! Too bad I didn't get pics of it without stamping over it!
I used all 3 Bundle Monster sets to create this beauty too! My index and pinkie are Orly Sweet Peacock with a coat of Milani Blue Flash over it, some white striping and then stamping with BM16. My thumb and swear are a gradient of Pure Ice A List and Orly Sweet Peacock with stamping of BM221. My ring finger is a gradient of Sinful Unicorn, Zoya Pippa, and Sinful Pull Over stamped with BM323
I really wanted to do an interpretation of the story and not use a plate with images of the story. I'm glad it turned out the way I imagined!

Are you suedey or not?
Hi Everyone! Happy Saturday!!! Oh I am so looking forward to a great day today! My friend Angelika is having a surprise party for her husband today!!! It's official and he's finally got his green card so we're having a Green Party for him! I'm making my famous guacamole, we're also having key lime cupcakes, spinach dip and some cucumber sandwiches. If it's green we're having it LOL. I just know it's going to be a fun time and hopefully we've managed to surprise him and no one spilled the green beans!
I had the tragedy of a nail breaking awhile back and filed my nails down. I've really been digging my shorter nails and thinking I might like them better but then I was going through my nail album and seeing some pics I hadn't posted yet of my longer nails and now I miss them LOL! I try to always be current with my mani's to the blog but sometimes I do get ahead especially if I don't post everyday. I found one in here that is simply stunning that I did back in the beginning of April! What in the world!?! Why I didn't show this to you then I don't know, but here it is!
I did a gorgeous gradient with Zoya Harlow--that I got from my sweet friend Jin of Superficially Colorful and Soflajo's Black Dagger.
If this is not the most gorgeous mani ever then I simply do not know what is!!!
I'm told by many people my gradients are amazing but honestly when you have 2 colors this gorgeous it's all them and not a lick of me!
I stamped with one of my favorite images from the 3rd Bundle Monster set, BM314
This might just be one of my favorite mani's ever! Man I miss those long nails!!

Round and Round!
Hi Everyone!!! Happy Friday! I'm so glad it's Friday because I feel exhausted! Since it's Mother's Day coming up this weekend should be all about me and letting me get some rest and relaxation LOL!
I did some stamping over another one of the Julie G Gumdrops and I just LOVED it! I really love these textured polishes, apparently I just cannot say that enough!
This time I used Rock Candy which is a dusty teal
I really love how stamping looks over these types of polishes!
It gives it a much "edgier" look I think
Check out all that sparkle!!!!!
Even thumbie looks great!
I haven't ordered the summer Pixie Dusts yet from Zoya or the OPI Bond Sand's but I just got in a few Kiko Sugar Mats!! Can't wait to try them out!
Oooops I almost forgot to say I stamped using RA-113!!
Thanks for stopping by!!! I hope you all have a fantastic weekend!
