Happy New Year!!

Hi Everyone and Happy New Year!  I hope everyone had a safe night last night and spent it with those they love.  2012 was a difficult year for me, I started out the year jobless, I lost my father, and I had to have my sweet boyfriend cat, Baxter put to sleep.  But it was also a good year for me--I did find work, I made some new friends and I got not one but 2 kittens AND I started a blog.  Tomorrow will be my one year blogaversary.

I'm not one of those bloggers who is going to show you the top ten in my lists or the top manicures I did for the year.  If you've been following me from the get go you'll know I absolutely love and adore the China Glaze Bohemians, and my favorite indie polish is and will always be Voodoo Doll.  If you're following me now you know what mani's were really good and which ones were pretty awful.

I'm starting this year out with a challenge.  OMG can you believe it?  ANOTHER horrid 31 Day Challenge LOL!  Truthfully though, why not?  I usually do my nails every day so a 31 day challenge is a drop in the bucket!

Day one is Black and White.  I about had a heart attack this morning when I discovered I had no white creme!  I didn't feel like rushing out to Kmart for a bottle of my go to Milani White On either so instead I had to dig through my white drawer (that's also my black and green drawer lol!)  I found a few whites and of course not a single one was a creme.  I did have Sinful Colors Tokyo Pearl which is *gasp* a frost.  I grabbed up a couple of other frosts--a lovely pale grey without no name! Poor Hema 42 no one loved you enough to name you, and I also snagged Revlon Black Pearl.

I cannot tell you how happy I am with my first gradient of 2013

Using these frosts was so much more delicate than any creme would have been!
Did you know I learned all about sponging on a frost to get rid of the brush strokes from Leslie at Polish Art Addiction?  She's a genius only don't tell her I said so or she'll get a big head!
Now I did love this gradient so much I actually thought about not stamping over it.  And yes that lasted about 30 seconds LOL!
Stamping is my first love! I had to start the new year out right!
I almost went paisley print but decided against it and went with BM315
I really love it!  Too bad no one at work will see this one because I'm off today!! Woot!!! I'm lazing around reading hot cowboy romances and spending time with the kitties!!

Here's a picture of the 3 polishes I used, Sinful Tokyo Pearl, Hema 42 and Revlon Black Pearl and how the sponge looked

I'm not alone in this 31 Day Challenge!!!  Here's our cool banner for it

Tomorrow is silver--not something I normally wear so let's see what I can come up with!

Thanks to all of you for following my little blog--I'm happy to have you with me on my nail polish journey!

Make sure you check out what my fellow tartlets are doing for black and white day!
