Ah the dreaded tape mani, I'm sure by now you all know I'm not a fan of the tape mani. They are not easy, they are hard--HARD HARD HARD! I was really dreading doing another one when words from wise Victoria spoke out and said "don't stress about it! do something simple" And so I did! I did do a simple and easy tape mani and not only did it turn out fan-freaking-tastic it matches my work blouse!!!!
This is just a simple half moon mani using label stickers!
I used Sinful Colors Savage a lovely teal blue matte along with OPI You Don't Know Jacques suede!
I stamped using my favorite leopard print image of all time BM221
No stress! Super simple and easy!!!! AND it matches my blouse!
Lesson learned today when the Manicurator talks to you--you listen!!!
Now let's check out the fantastic tape mani's (because you know they're going to be) from my friends!

Digit-al Dozen Does Tape Mani's--Ice Dragon
Hi Everyone! Can I just tell you all how much tape mani week is kicking my butt?! OMG I really do not like tape mani's AT ALL! Yes I've done a couple of good ones, but that's it, that's all I got honestly. I cannot believe the great creativity all my cohorts have come up with and then there's me--the runt of the family. OH LORD!
I'm going to keep up plugging away but don't expect anything great that's for sure.
Last year I did a tape mani that someone told me looked like a dragon's eye. I thought I would try the same thing again only using different colors this time. I went with OPI Suzi Skis In The Pyrenees Suede and Sinful Colors Snow Me White
Suzi is a lovely dark grey suede
Even though I wanted this mani to appear like an Ice Dragon's Eye instead to me it screams doorway to the other side!
I don't know maybe it will grow on me
Then again maybe not! LOL!
This "simple" mani took me AGES! UG these things are just not my cup of tea.
BUT my friends have been doing amazeballs with theirs!!!! Did you see Debbie's neon mani from yesterday??? GLURG!
Check out what everyone has come up with for today

Roughed Up Ruffian!
Hi Everyone! Today I'm sporting a couple of things I really love--a Ruffian and a textured polish! I hauled out one of my OPI Suedes and one of the Julie G Gumdrops and got to work. I chose OPI Russian Navy and Julie G Blueberry Fizz. The result turned out better than I had hoped!
I don't know about any of you but if OPI was going to bring something back I sure wish it was either the Suedes or the original holo Designer Series. But truthfully I really want the Suedes back! OMG I love them! Can you just imagine how gorgeous some bright summer colored Suedes would look???
I hope to work opposite for this look and put Russian Navy on first and then using a 3 hole punch reinforcement tab I added the Blueberry Fizz
I like this mani alot but felt I got a bit too much Blueberry Fizz on the swear finger! Don't you hate it when one finger can ruin it for the rest?
I do love the look of these two types of finishes together though--what do you think?
I really love the textured polishes. I have some of the Kiko's on their way to me and I really think I need the Bond's and the Pixie Dusts . . . OIY! That's a lot of gritty polishes LOL!
Thanks for stopping by!! I hope you all have a fantastic day!

Are you Corrupted?
Hi Everyone! I'm definitely Corrupted and couldn't be happier about it! I'm lucky enough to be friends with Amy from I'm Feeling Nailventurous. She is one of the sweetest people I know and back when she was making nail polish she made this little beauty--Corrupted. A gorgeous blue with diamond, hex and bar glitter!!! I paired it over OPI Ink suede and nearly died!
This is just too pretty!
I'm not really sure where Amy got the idea for the name though lol! If this is what corruption is like then corrupt me baby!!! Corrupt me all the way!
Are you seeing how gorgeous this is?????? If being Corrupted is wrong, then I don't want to be right!
Thanks for stopping by! I hope you all have a fantastic day!

One man's violet is another man's purple is another man's maroon???
Hi Readers! First of all whew! I made it just in the nick of time for Day 6 in the 31 Day Challenge! We had some huge storms here yesterday and power was out for a long a$$ time! It was restored today at 1pm while I was at work. It went out at about 4pm yesterday so almost a full day without it. Let me tell you Readers taking a shower in pitch black house with no power is not fun. My hair looks beyond wretched today yet all my friends kept telling me it looked good LOL! God bless true friends!
For my "violet" I picked a purple which some people flat out call maroonish lol! All that matters to me is where these colors are stored in my melmer and they are stored in my purple drawer! For today's mani I hauled out an untried--OPI Black Tie Optional. Now this is a "supposed" duochrome but really it's only duochrome in the bottle. If it looked like this on the nail I would be in heaven but alas it does not. It's still ding dang gorgeous though!
You can sort of see the inkling of a duochrome down at the bottom of the bottle in this shot
But this gold never gets to your nails. I paired my Black Tie Optional in a Ruffian with We'll Always Have Paris Suede which I think you all know I love
I wasn't sure how I felt about a matte and a glossy Ruffian but I had seen Kayla do one for her red so I decided to go for it and stamp over it using China Glaze Joy which is a dark purple metallic polish
I used one of my favorite images from the second Bundle Monster set BM201 for the stamping
When you think of purple what do you think of Readers? Does this dark maroon/burgundy fill your bill or do you need a blueish purple?
Here's a picture of the polishes I used. OPI Black Tie Optional and We'll Always Have Paris suede and China Glaze Joy
What's up for tomorrow?
Black and White! Sweet! I hope I can come up with something cool!
Thanks for stopping by! I hope you have a fantastic night!

Cheater Cheater BBQ eater!
Hi Readers! Happy Saturday!!! Guess what???!!!! In addition to it being the weekend we are getting a new baby kitten today! I'm pretty over the moon about it as is the camera man! We've had a lot of sadness in our lives this month and we've talked about getting another cat ever since we lost our sweet Sammie 2 years ago. I'm hoping Baxter will be happy with the new addition so cross your fingers for us!
Now onto the nail portion of our program! Today the Summer Challenge theme is BBQ. BBQ???? What the french is my Crumpet Leader, Debbie thinking? Do they EVEN have BBQ over in the UK????? I've lived in Texas so I know what good BBQ is LOL! Another thing I know is I'm not a cool "cute" person like Jackie from Adventures In Acetone. There is no way I can draw a cute cow on my nail and then a steak or a brisket on my nail and have it be a good BBQ look. So today I did what I often do best--I cheated!!!!
Hmm lets a take a look shall we
Thank you OPI for the glorious color that is Mrs O'Leary's BBQ!!!!
Now THIS looks much better than a cow or a pork chop painted on my nail!
I did a lovely gradient using Mrs O'Leary's BBQ and We'll Always Have Paris Suede because I just love these colors together!!!! I stamp with Milani White On using Mash-43
I don't know about you Readers but can it really be cheating when it turns out this good????
Before we check out what all my other Summer Challenge friends have come up with for the this mani let's take a look at Roscoe!
He's currently a farm kittie at my friend Ashlee's farm. I sure hope he'll pick us today when we are out there looking at the kittens!!
I just love orange boy kitties!!!!
I'll fill you all in tomorrow before the Sunday Challenge which is pink and purple. FINALLY a chance for me to get out my franken Pulsating Pink Porn lol!!!

Like internet mother, like internet daughter!
Hi Readers! Today I have a wicked cool mani to show you and guess what??? My internet daughter Rebecca, from Rebecca Likes Nails is doing the same exact mani! Really it was totally her idea and I loved it so much she let me steal it AND then decided we should post together lol! It's a super cool mani using Lincoln Park After Dark Suede from OPI and then just some black. I couldn't find my striping tape so I used masking tape and holy crap using masking tape is so much easier than regular scotch tape! Check this one out Readers!
When our friend Julia saw this she said it looked like a dragon's eye! I asked my camera man what he thought of that and he laughed his butt off and walked away from me the a$$hat!
I think it's really cool! Suede's are just SO gorgeous with a shiny topcoat! BUT without it they are such a smooth matte! I don't know what I love more, matte or glossy lol!
Here's a side by side pic of mine and Rebecca's
Make sure you stop by and visit her today at Rebecca Likes Nails and make sure she's listening to all the saged advice her internet mother gives her LOL!
Do you have any of the OPI Suede's??? I just love them! I just need Suzy Skis The Pyrenees to complete all the true Suedes!! BUT I'm also lusting after La Pazitively Hot
Thanks for stopping by!! I hope you all have a fantastic day!

Summer Challenge--A Day at the Zoo!
Hi Readers! I wanted to do something different and funky for a day at the zoo theme so I hauled out my suedes again and went for some matte stamping as well. I'm sure if I like this one but it is what it is! I started with a gradient of OPI We'll Always Have Paris suede and Lincoln Park After Dark suede. It's really lovely
I love the dark tips!
To give it that "zoo" theme I stamped over it with a zebra print
I messed up a bit on the pinkie but since I don't wear a mani for more than a day usually I let it slide lol! That and taking off just the top layer on a suede is hard!
This is definitely a "wild" look!
What are you thoughts about this matte gradient and matte stamping?? Like it, love it, or loathe it??
Thanks for stopping by! I hope you all have a fantastic day!
