Hi Readers! Remember that wonderful too good to be true job I started yesterday? Well it was just that too good to be true! I got all the way up to training an hour and a half from my house only to learn the job was not at all what I thought I was getting. I was pretty upset with the misrepresentation but held myself together and, left and drove back home. So it's back to pounding the pavement for me! Everyone I talked too said they are sure there's something better out there so I'm holding on to that hope. Since I felt my day yesterday was just whacked out and wow I decided to do a mani today that says all that and more.
This is a foil from my recent haul at Dollar Nail Art!!! This one is called Fiber Optics--isn't it cool????
Check out how great it looks with the foil ring I made awhile ago!
I decided to stamp over it and I don't love it
It looks cool but it was more holographic without the stamping
What do you think Readers??? Do you like it better "plain" or with the zebra stamp?
Thanks for stopping by! I hope you all have a fantastic day!

Do two rights . . .
Hi Readers! If two wrongs don't make a right do two rights make a bada$$ mani??? Why yes! YES THEY DO! I know it seems crazy and inconceivable that I messed with my gorgeous glass fleck water marble from yesterday but I did just that. I say looking at my sparkly, twinkly mani and thought--what would this look like with Black Shatter over it??
BAM!
How does it look??? It looks freaking fantastic that's how it looks! Oh Shatter if loving you is wrong I don't want to be right!
This is just spectacular AND it's still mega sparkly!
Both my thumbs look great!
Left Thumb
Right Thumb
Here's my lovely collage!
Here's a before and after pic--really they both look great!
You'd think I'd stop while I was ahead but nope I kept on going!
Check out the matching jewelry I made for this mani!
Bracelet
Rings
Here they are together!
What do you think Readers? Was I crazy to cover up this awesome mani after only one day or did I make it even better???!
Thanks for stopping by! I hope you all have a fantastic day!

QUEEN OF THE WORLD!
Hi Readers! Today I'm showing you a polish that no one else but me owns IN THE ENTIRE UNIVERSE! My super fab and fun friend Michelle from Sonoma Nail Art has been working on making up some polishes all based on Sonoma County. Her polishes are incredible imo. I will admit I'm not huge into the indie bandwagon there are only a few I like--my faves are definitely Amy's Voodoo Doll and Chelsea's Jawbreaker but then this gem came into my life and if I could marry it I would. Technically I think I could marry it because I've heard of weird a$$ stuff like this happening before lol! Awhile ago Michelle was able to almost complete her Revlon Fizz collection but she was missing Grape Fizz. I had one I was definitely willing to part with especially for her. Now don't tell her this readers but I was just going to send it to her but she came back with how about swapping for one of my polishes?! HOLY SHIZZ I about hit the floor because I've been lucky enough she was sharing pics of her creations with me. So I casually said sure but let me make you a ring too. Michelle (dumb as a box of rocks on this one readers) swapped me her Mustard Fields for a Toxic Seaweed ring and Grape Fizz.
When I got the bottle in the mail from her she made me a cute a$$ certificate to go along with it! OMG check it out readers!
BTW I see nothing wrong with being a "cheesehead" Go Pack, Go!
She sent me this ADORABLE temp tattoo that says Taste My Muffin and told me to place it "accordingly" LOLOLOLOLOL
I will not lie readers this polish is so gorgeous! It has large yellow daisy glitter in it along with greenish gold bar glitters, light and dark green square g glitters and a mix of various greens and gold small hexes. It really IS a mustard field!
What I really love about Michelle's polishes is the fact she's looked around at her surroundings and her life and created a line of polishes to match them. I simply love that idea! She, like many, in the indie polish business right now are having issues getting base for their creations. Seems the indie polish creating bug has bitten many and some were lucky enough to get base while others were not. I do know as soon as she is able she will be selling her gorgeous creations through etsy.
But enough of all of that! I'm sure you want to see the beauty of this polish! I started off by making a ring with it!
That was last night which is why you don't see a matching mani lol! I used China Glaze Trendsetter as the underwear for it and fell in love. FELL.IN.LOVE! Today I decided to do a matching mani for my ring and I am seriously over the moon with it!
And another bottle shot!
And a collage of the beauty of Mustard Fields
Right now I'm the only one in the world--the whole universe even to have this polish therefore I am lording it over everyone!!! I won't be for long though readers. Tonight at 8pm central time Michelle is having a small and by small I mean small sale. She has 50 polishes done and is selling them for $10 a bottle plus shipping via her etsy store Sonoma Nail Art. I'm not sure what polishes of hers she's going to have up for sale Mustard Fields may not be one of them. Please make sure you visit Michelle's blog today to see what polishes she is selling. I know it's going to be a mad dash to try to get one of 50 but I also know as soon as she has base she's going to be up and running to meet the supply and demand. Her blog is Sonoma Nail Art.
WOW! I cannot believe how wordy I was today readers! I guess I am just so in love with this polish--and honestly Michelle, who is also an AHmazing artist, I couldn't stop talking.
What do you think of this one readers? Are you "into" indie polishes? Thanks for stopping by! I hope you all have a fantastic day! If you're trying to get one of Michelle's polishes tonight Good Luck!

Monkey See, Monkey Do Week Sequel--Adventures In Acetone!
Hi Readers! Today I'm featuring one of the sweetest gals I know! Jacki from Adventures In Acetone is a real sweetie. She is fantastic at nail art and the queen bee of "cutesy" I really wanted to do one of Jacki's mani's and then I started panicking because really I can't do one of hers lol! THANKFULLY she also stamps! The other day she featured a gorgeous mani her hubby Wesley picked out for her to do you can see it here. That's something that Jacki and I have in common! We both have a Wesley in our lives! I really loved the look of her mani so I was so excited to recreate it!
Just like Jacki I started with 2 coats of Zoya Mimi but I didn't have Orly Sweet Peacock so I sponged OPI Swimsuit Nailed It instead and then stamped with Sally Hansen Chrome Pen is silver. I love this mani! Here's a nice close up!
And of course I took a shot like this
After looking at this mani for about 30 minutes I got a great idea!
I decided to make a ring
Then after starting at my matching ring and mani I decided to make a bracelet
Here I am "modeling" all three!
Man did these turn out great!
Here is the side by side comparison shot
Hahahaha! This is Jacki's hubby Wesley and my chinchilla Wesley! I told you we had something in common lol! Now tell the truth readers which Wesley is the cutest?????!!!
Here's the real comparison pics lol! Jacki is up first
I foolishly didn't get a shot like this (probably because I was too busy staring at my matching jewelry with it) so I turned a pic sideways lol!
All in all this was a fantastic mani and it could be the highlight of the sequel week--the matching jewelry really frosts the cake though!
What do you think about the jewelry to match the mani readers--too much or too cool?
Thanks for stopping by! I hope you all have a fantastic day!

Franken Friday--Two are better than one!
Hi Readers! Today I have some exciting frankens to show you! I made my first ever from pigment franken the other day! One of the last times I was at Sally Beauty Supply I picked up a really pretty greeny bluey eyeshadow. I crushed it up into a fine dust and then added it to a SUPER old NYC way too sheer polish I had. I NEVER throw away polishes because you never know when you could use them! It was a bit too light for me so I added just a few drops of Essie Midnight Cami and then a dash or two of Nfu-Oh 61 to give it some extra sparkle and BAM my Naked Edge was born. Some of you might know I love to name my frankens after my favorite books. Naked Edge is part of the I Team Series written by Pamela Clare--LOVE her stuff!
Here's collage I put together of Naked Edge
Admittedly it's gorgeous on it's own BUT I recently got a wonderful franken from my friend Caroline called Ariel's Tail. It's a lovely diamond shaped glitters or green and blue with some stars in it as well. It looks AHmazing over black so I decided to do some black tips topped with Ariel's Tail and voila!
I love, love, LOVE this!!!
Look how pretty Ariel's Tail is with my Naked Edge!!!
It's so pretty I had to make a ring out of it!!
What do you think of my first pigmented franken? I love it (yep breaking my arm patting myself on the back lol). And you just can't go wrong with two gorgeous frankens making on one mani! So simple yet so pretty!
Thanks for stopping by! I hope you all have a fantastic day!

I say tomato you say tomahto
Hi Readers! Today I have fantastic mani I took a lot of gruff over from my nail polish friends. When I first did it I called it a rim job and they went ballistic. I mean come on readers not everyone's mind is always in the gutter! My friend Rebecca from Rebecca Likes Nails kept telling me it was an "outlined" mani. WHATEVER! You can call it whatever you like readers, rimmed or outlined it's freaking gorgeous!
Look at it with flash! It's like my nails are glowing!
And of course I didn't stop there . . .
Check out this smooooooooch!!!
Here's a flash shot of it! Glowing!!!!!!
To achieve my "rimmed" mani I used WetnWild Black Creme and a base and then carefully "outlined" in reverse using Kleancolor Metallic Red. The key is having a small frame and not a larger one. To add some Valentine's Day flair I stamped with China Glaze Emotion and Konad Black using the lips on BM02
I love, loved, loved, LOVED this mani so much I made a matching ring!
I have a little pen pal in Illinois--Cassie. I'm going to send this ring to her for Valentines Day.
So readers what do you think? Is this an outlined or a rimmed mani? Are you a fan of this look or not so much?
Thanks for stopping by! I hope you all have a fantastic day!

My humble apology magnetic nail polish!
Hi Readers! I'm here today with a humble apology to magnetic nail polish. A few months ago when it was first hitting the shelves I had a few friends saying oooh these are so cool you should try these--do you want me to get you a couple? And I said no they don't really do anything for me. Then a few months went by and I hear China Glaze is coming up with magnetics and I start to feel like I'm getting sucked in AND then I see this post from nailXchange and BAM I'm blown out of the water! I say to myself stamping and magnetic polish are you kidding me???! I've admired her a long time but I sort of wanted to marry her after that post. So here I am today with a humble apology to magnetic nail polish. I'm sorry for ever doubting you!
My wonderful friend Lori gets me stuff all the time--I'll get texts from her saying I'm at so and so and do you want me to pick this up for you? Icing is one of those stores I just don't want to go to. I'm sorry readers but it's a 40 minute drive to the Icing store and then I'm fighting mall traffic and I just do not want to do it. Lucky for me Lori doesn't feel the same way lol! She picked me up the raspberry and olive green Magnetix polishes from there and I LOVE THEM! I had 100 percent planned to stamp on this one but nope I just couldn't do it. The first one I decided to try is the raspberry colored one. Check it out!
This is a shot I actually took in bed last night lol! The low light from the lamp beside my bed really lit up the polish so I took a few pics--this is just so gorgeous to me!
Here's another one look at all that sparkle!
I just cannot get enough of the this polish!
I feel SO bad for ever doubting it, I really hope it can forgive me.
This is what I love about it--it looks like nail art on your nails but you don't even have to do anything! You simply hold the magnet above the polish and the design forms--I even went as far as to say I may never stamp again lol! Don't worry I'm sure by tomorrow I won't be feeling that way lol!
Here's the only pic I got of it in natural light indoor light--harder to see the shimmer but still really pretty
Here's ring I made with the gold/olive green one. It turned out great!
How are you feeling about this magnetic polishes readers?? Are you on board with them, definitely not into them, or owing them an apology???
Thanks for stopping by! I hope you all have a fantastic day!

Animalistic Week--Cheetah or Leopard or Leopard or Cheetah!
Hi Readers! Well some bad news--almost fate worse than death to a new blogger--my camera broke! Yep looks like the shutter is stuck. I've got a birthday coming up so i'm asking for a new one, in the meantime I'm going to do the best I can with my photo program. The flash pics don't look too bad but holy cow the outdoor/non flash pics are blindingly white AND cruddy! I hope you'll all bear with me for a few weeks.
Ok so here's the news on War Horse which I saw with my mom yesterday--fantastic BUT a bawlfest! I was crying 10 minutes into the movie lol! It was a wonderful story though and the cinematography was incredible. If you love sweeping epics and movies that tug at your heart strings I highly recommend it.
And now for our Animalistic Week--is it cheetah or leopard, leopard or cheetah??? IT'S BOTH!
True story readers someone had me convinced the cheetah and leopard were really the same animal we just call them different names. I really was believing this for about a week UNTIL I thought to myself I really think he means the cougar and mountain lion are the same. So naturally I looked it up and YEP cougar and mountain lion are the same animal BUT the cheetah and the leopard are not!
So first up lets do the mani's. This is mani--cheetah
This is as fixed as I can get it! Sorry!!!
Here it is with flash, flash seems to work better
Next up lets look at mani--leopard!
And here it is with flash
They both look really similar! BUT just like the real cheetah and leopard their spots are different. A cheetah doesn't have any opening in it's spots and they are a solid color. The leopard has multi colors in it's spots which are really called rosettes!
To do both of these mani's I used an underwear of Zoya Pasha followed by 3 coats of Sinful Color's All About U (which is a FANTASTIC gold glass fleck polish) For the cheetah I simply stamped with Kleancolor Black using BM211. For the leopard I went a bit further after stamping with Kleancolor Black using Konad M57 I took some OPI Brisbane Bronze and filled it the open spots.
Let's look at a side by side of this manis
Now lets look and a side by side pic of a cheetah and a leopard animal!
How'd I do???
Here are our cheetah and leopard facts: Cheetahs are the fastest in the big cat group and can run up to 70 miles per hour, which is faster than any other animal. Cheetahs have what's known as "tear" tracks that run down the corners of each eye and around the nose and mouth this actually serves as anti-glare during daytime hunting. The cheetah has non retractable claws. Cheetahs cannot roar like a lion or tiger but they do purr. Next up Leopard--the leopard is pound for pound the strongest climber of all the big cats. The rosettes or spots of the East African leopard are round while in South African leopards they are square. The leopard can both roar and purr. It marks it territory by leaving claw marks in trees. The leopard has many prey to choose from; antelope, monkeys, baboons, warthogs, rodents and hares but only one predator--man.
Here are a couple of cheetah pictures I found
You can really see the "tear" markings there.
Here is a cheetah running full out! Look at the stretch he has!!
Here's a leopard!! King of his kingdom!
If you look closely at the leopard you can see the different colors in his spots and also that it is not closed.
Just for fun here's a picture of leopard nail polish ring I've made for a few people!
Well readers this concludes our Animalistic Week! I know I had a lot of fun doing these manis and looking up the fun facts. I hope you enjoyed them too! I'd have to say my favorite mani of the whole week was Tiger though--how about you?
Again I'd like to say I'm sorry about the quality of these pictures! I hope you'll bear with me for awhile until I can get a new camera!
