Day 31 Recreate A Mani From The Challenge

Hi Goddesses!!!  Today is the last day of the Crumpet's Nail Tarts 31 Day Challenge.  Today is all about recreating a mani you've seen in the challenge. The INSTANT I saw Debbie post her blue dragon I was not only in love, I knew I HAD to do this!  Debbie over at The Crumpet blew me away with her blue dragon mani AND she did a fab job on stamping which we all know I love.  I wanted to recreate her look so I decided to see her blue dragon and raise her a red dragon!
I think this turned out MAHVELOUS!
If only there was such a thing as a red dragon!
And this mani even looks great in the shade!
Here's a blurryish pic to see all the glittah goodness
This mani was a labor of love.  I started with Butter London Chancer, topped it with Sonoma Nail Art Deadly Sins and then I topped that with Fergie Tonight's Gonna Be A Good Night.  I stamped using BM and Mash plates and voila!  A Red Dragon is born!!!
Here's Debbie's Blue Dragon to compare it to!
Man I still love this mani by her SO much!!!!!  In case you missed it you can see her full post HERE

Well that's it!! The end of the road for this 31 day challenge!!! I loved every minute of it!  I hope I can come up some ideas on my own now without being told what to do lol!!!

Check out the what my fellow Tart's recreated!

Day 30--Your Favorite Nail Art Technique!

Hi Everyone!!! OMG only one more day to go in the Crumpet Nail Tart's 31 Day Challenge!  I sort of feel like I won't know what to do when the challenge is over!  How am I ever going to figure out what to do on my own lol!  Today is Your Favorite Nail Technique and I'm pretty sure everyone will guess what mine is--stamping!   I've been stamping for almost 2 years now.  It's really changed my life!  I've met the most amazing people through something as simple and even trivial as nail polish and some image plates.

I chose to do another magnetic gradient along with my stamping today just because I love to do them so much!
My niece says I always ruin my gradients by covering them up BUT I think a gradient and then stamping over it offers alot more depth
I used a Cheeky to stamp with and it wasn't an XL--I wish the Cheeky's were larger images on their round sets.  I like them but they just aren't big enough.   Too late to start again though!!!

Here's how messy this gradient was!  Look at all the clean up I have with this sucker!
It was worth it though!

Tomorrow in the challenge it's Recreate a mani from the challenge.  I have a very special mani in mind for this one!  Make sure you check it out tomorrow!

Let's take a look and see what my fellow Tart's like to do on their nails!

Day 29 Inspired By A Blogger

Hi Everyone!!!  Today in the 31 Day Crumpet Nail Tart's Challenge is Inspired By A Blogger.  Several bloggers have inspired me BUT the one who really first caught my eye was Cris over at Let Them Have Polish.  I copied A TON of Cris' mani's.  Her ideas helped me get my own ideas and in time I was actually doing it on my own!  It's exciting, it's fun and being able to come up with a new nail design everyday is something I really love doing.  Cris has done SO many mani's I really love but there's one she did a long time ago I just really loved.  Today I recreated that mani with a twist of my own
Cris did this mani eons ago for a challenge--I thought it only fitting I do it for one as well!  Her original is really gorgeous and you can find it here

Don't you just love a great black and white mani??

I love this mani for few reasons--reason one it has the lovely Fairy Dust!
Number two it has not one by two SoflaJo polishes!!!  I used two matte's from Jody's new collection Matte Love.  She has made incredible white and black's!

Here is White Sensation
And a pic of Black Dagger
Jody sent me a bottle of Black Dagger for review.  She teased me about wanting it only for the name--I'm a Black Dagger Brotherhood lover--but the minute I tried this gorgeous black on I was back buying a full size bottle of this baby!  IT'S GORGEOUS!

We're in the home stretch, only 2 more days to go.  What's up for tomorrow?

Hmmmm Your Favorite Nail Art Technique--can you all guess what that is???

What blogger inspired my fellow Tart's?

Day 28 Inspired By Your Favorite Color!

Hi Everyone!  Holy cow I am in the hot seat with Day 28!  It's almost 6:30pm when I'm posting this for the 31 Day Crumpet Nail Tart's Challenge!  GLURG!  In my defense I have a sick mom--we had to take her to the ER on Saturday and then my little sister and I stayed with her on Sunday.  I had evening duty so that meant no nails getting done!  Mom was feeling better this morning after a couple doses of antibiotics so she sent me on my way.  I beehived it home after work tonight and went right to work on a mani to make it in!

So first of all let me just tell you my favorite color is yellow. YELLOW!?!  Omg it is IMPOSSIBLE to find a good yellow nail polish that looks good and looks good on.  I had to get really creative with this theme and I stole an idea from something I did this summer!
I decided to do this HOT gradient because I noticed this cute hot pepper image on the DRK-C plate.  I really love the DRK plates and I'm so glad Ninja Polish stocks them!!  They are easy to buy AND they ship fast!
My pinkie is the pepper from BM06

I used La Femme neon yellow, China Glaze Orange Knockout and Salsa for the gradient.

Here's a pic of it in the shade--pretty dark here at 6:30 pm so it's not the best pic but it is more color true I think

WHEW! I made it just in the nick of time!  Let's see what's up for tomorrow
Inspired by a blogger!!!! Endless possibilities with this one!

Let's take a look at the Tart's to see what their favorite color is!

Day 27 Inspired By You!

Hi Everyone!  Wow what a harried day today's challenge became!  Today's theme in the Crumpet Nail Tart's 31 Day Challenge is Inspired By You. I had all these super good intentions for a fabulous mani for today.  Inspired by me I mean come on!  I could fit chinchillas, food, hot cowboys, crackle, magnetics, gradients, foils mermaids, dragons, animal print and stamping onto 10 fingers somehow!  What ended up happening instead were a few hours spent in the Emergency Room with my mom and sister.  We had to call 911 for my mom yesterday and she thought she had the flu and was very dizzy and could not even lift her head.  Turns out she has a raging kidney infection due to some kidney stones.  Mom has had this kidney stone problem before but never got so sick from it.  So after a few hours in the ER and her getting settled back at home with a babysitter of Lynelle my little sister last night, I got home to try to work on a mani.

I knew I would be back with mom today so I stayed up late--and by late I mean LATE working on this thing.  I tried to get as much as I could into this mani but also had to settle for something that looks good as today is our office Christmas party.  So I settled on a crackle, magnetic, gradiented dragon look starring some of my favorites--The Bohemians!
My index is Ninja Polish Nebula with SoflaJo Black Dagger on it! How cool is that???!!!
This really took hours but only because I redid my ring and pinkie a couple of times until I got a look I liked
Here's my left hand in the "claw" lol!  Look at the thumb. Don't you just love a Bohemian sponged on gradient????

Here it is up close
GAH I love The Bohemians!!!!

I used BM313 for the ring and thumb and BM217 for the index
The pinkie is just black with China Glaze Oxidized Aqua over it.  I tried to use a few of the crackles I have and nothing really looked as good until I did the Oxidized Aqua over black

Check out the shade pics
That matte over Nebula is just amazeballs AND the magnetic gradient in the shade looks really cool too
Maybe one day I'll be able to fit more of "me" into a mani.  But for today I have to say this one kicks some serious A$$!!!!!!!!

Almost done now, what's up for tomorrow???
Well this will be interesting because my favorite color is yellow and yellow nail polish is something I don't have a lot of!  Nor does yellow look good on me in any way shape or form LOL!

What makes up my fellow Tart's?? Check em out!

Day 26--Inspired By Your Country!

Hi Everyone!!! Happy Weekend!  Mine did not start out great! OMG my cats were laying on my feet biting my toes this morning!!! AT THE CRACK OF DAWN!! On a day I could be sleeping in I was up at 7am dealing with 2 super naughty cats!  I'm not going to complain too much though because early this Fall I had to have my sweet boyfriend cat Baxter put to sleep.  I was lucky enough to get two really sweet kittens, one of them we got just before Baxter got very sick.  So now, once again, our lives are enriched by two cute but naughty cats!

Today is Inspired By Your Country in the Crumpet Nail Tart's 31 Day Challenge.  I was having a hard time coming up with an idea for this.  I didn't really want to do another red, white and blue mani UNTIL I found out the challenge for AIS tomorrow is tape and stamping.  Well then that made things so much easier!!!!

I used the gorgeous Zoya Song for the blue.  It "might" be my favorite blue.  Well let's just say it's my favorite blue by Zoya for sure!
I stamped using Red Angel RA-106 with Kleancolor Red
I had a bit of trouble with the thumb, as you can see, and tried to double stamp it.  Not so much luck LOL!
I'm pretty happy with how this turned out!
Hopefully I'll remember this for the 4th of July!!

Only a few more days left in the challenge!! And I'll say again how much I enjoyed this challenge and loved seeing all the way cool mani's from my fellow Tarts!

What's up for tomorrow?
Inspired by you! Wow!! How am I going to fit all of "me" onto one mani?????

Be sure to see what my fellow Tart's have come up with for today!!

Day 25--Inspired by your childhood

Hi Everyone!! Happy Friday!  I am SO glad the weekend is almost here.  It is cold, cold, COLD here again and I just really don't feel like going out!  I'm thinking some nice Wisconsin Beer Cheese soup and pretzel rolls from O & H will make the perfect weekend meal!

Today in the Crumpet Nail Tart's 31 Day Challenge is Inspired By Your Childhood.  I had thoughts to do an Elvis jumpsuit skittle mani as I loved Elvis since I was 7 years old and he was a HUGE part of my young life.  Then I got an idea for something completely different last night!!!  When I think of my childhood and how happy it was there is just one person that comes to mind--my Grandma Welch.  She was the best grandma in the world!  I only had her until I was 17 and I still feel quite cheated I didn't have her longer.

She was a cake decorator for Lehman's Bakery for over 30 years.  Every year on my birthday she made me a Danish Layer cake.  Because my birthday is on February 12th it either had Abe Lincoln on it or Valentine's Day decoration.  It was ALWAYS delicious.

I miss my grandma alot, I miss her hugs and her smile.  I miss her gentle nature.  Mostly I miss how much she loved me and my sisters.

Today's mani is done with love for my Grandma Welch
I got all cute and sweet with this one!
I skittled with some holos just for my sweet from Jin and hauled out DS Divine and my franken Safe, Sane & Consensual (yikes I shouldn't have used that polish in grandma post!)
I stamped with Konad m83 and DRK-B.

Here's a nice shot of it with flash
All in all a pretty sweet mani!

Wow we are so close to being done with this challenge--what's in store for tomorrow?
hmmmm Inspired By Your Country--how many red, white & blue mani's can be done??? Can I come up with something different?  Tune in tomorrow to find out!

What did the other Tart's do for their childhood inspiration?  Be sure to check them out!

Day 24--Inspired By A Game!

Hi Everyone!!! Another SUPER chilly day here in Wisconsin!  I think when I get home tonight some good old hamburger soup is going to be made!  It's a great warm your belly on a cold day/night kind of soup!  Today in the Crumpet Nail Tart's 31 Day Challenge is inspired by a game.  I really didn't come up with anything great for this challenge!  I thought about doing Twister but just didn't "feel" like dotting last night so instead you guys are going to get this
Checkers!  I'm pretty sure it was one of the first "adult" games I learned.  My sister Lisa and I would play it for hours and hours and hours!  Sorry it's not more original and fun LOL!
I also could not get a real crisp picture of this mani to save my life!

Let's look at tomorrow and see if it's going to be better for me
Inspired by my childhood--WOW so many possibilities for that one!

Check out what my fellow Tart's have come up with for Inspired By A Game--i'm sure their's is going to be a bit more exciting!

Day 23 Inspired By Nature!

Hi Everyone!  Today's theme in the Crumpet Nail Tart's 31 Day Challenge is Inspired By Nature. This mani all came about because of how bitterly cold it is here! This morning I didn't want to get out of bed because it was minus 2 outside with a wind chill factor of minus 20! OH MY GAH!  here we were thinking we were going to have an easy winter and BAM freeze fest!  Yesterday when I was thinking about what to do for inspired by nature I thought about doing another ho ho gradient with maybe a horse in the sunset.  Why I don't know.  Truth is I'm afraid of horses.  I don't mind petting them but there is no way I'm riding on one.

So because I was way too cold to get out of bed and face the cold day I lay there thinking about what I could do for inspired by Nature.  Lord knows I could have done snowflakes but instead I remembered a little box of dried flowers I got awhile ago and never used.  And TA DA a mani is born!
I used the lovely A England Bridal Veil and one of my favorite red's OPI Wocka! Wocka! for this beauty
i really love the look of this dried flower on here!  I should have used it for my texture day!
I stamped with BM323 and DRK-A for the ring and thumb
I really love how this turned out!  There is just something so gorgeous about red and black together.

We're almost done with this challenge!  I can't believe it, this one really wasn't as hard as the last one.  Let's see what's in store for tomorrow!
Inspired by a game--hmmmm I hope I can come up with something good for that one!

What has Nature inspired in my fellow Tartlet's??

Day 22 Inspired by Fabric!

Hi Everyone!  Today is inspired by a fabric in the Crumpet Nail Tart's 31 Day Challenge.  I did this one a week ago but knew I would be showcasing it for today's theme!  On Sunday the teams were decided for the Super Bowl and alas Green Bay was not one of them.  That didn't stop me from rocking this awesome tape mani a week ago when we met the 49'ers in the play offs!
Nothing says Green Bay Packers like green and yellow!
This baby was a labor of love and took FOREVER to do! But it was totally worth it!
Are you wondering where the fabric part comes in???
BAM inspired by a Green Bay Packer's jersey!  And the best jersey no less!

#80 is the fabulous, classy, and and handsome Donald Driver.  He is the best wide receiver the Packer's ever had and has been an awesome part of our team for 13 fantastic years!
He is a fierce competitor
A consummate professional athlete
And has the greatest smile in the world!

Thanks for 13 great years of football Donald!  No one to come after you will ever be as great as you are!

Okay now that I'm bawling my head off let's see what's in store for tomorrow
Nature---hmmmm I have a few ideas for this already we'll see what I wind up with

Let's check out my fellow Tarts and see what fabric's inspire them!
