In a hurry? No worries part 2!

Hi Everyone!  I've got another 30 minute manicure from the Advanced Nail Stamping Group's latest challenge.  This one is SOOOOOO pretty.  I decided to copy my whole "start with a great base" idea from yesterday so I chose the gorgeous Darling Diva Are You Medusa? Because You Make Me Rock Hard! and then just do some simple stamping over it.  Again just because you know how to do more doesn't always mean you should.  This is another simple stamping mani that took me less than 30 minutes to do and it's gorgeous!
Medusa is a gorgeous cherry red scattered holo.  I love bases like this, it's like they glow from within!
I wanted to let this beautiful base show as much as possible so simple stamping was what I wanted.
I really love my Born Pretty Store BP-L003 plate so it was a no brainer to grab this and then stamp with my fave gold China Glaze Passion
GLOWY!!!!!!! Gorgeous and glowy!
Another winner with this manicure for sure
And because Medusa is darn close to a one coater this took less time than yesterday's mani!
What do you think???? Isn't this just gorgeous?

Hope everyone is having a great day!  Thanks for stopping in!

In a hurry? No worries!

Hi Everyone!  Happy Wednesday!  The Advanced Nail Group has a 30 minute mani challenge going on. It's a challenge my friend Stephanie thought up because she likes to change her nails daily but doesn't always have the time as she is a busy wife and mother. With all the really cool things you can do these days it's nice to sit back and try something simple that still packs a bunch. This challenge goes on until the weekend so it will be interesting to see what I come up with each day.

First up I wanted to use my new Pahlish the really beautiful Billy Bones.  It's an awesome cream colored creme with some ultra chrome flakies in it. I decided to pair it with one of my favorite Mundos--Dark Grey and stamped with SB018.
This Pahlish is just to die for gorgeous
I wanted the base to be able to show through and I just don't pull out my Sugar Bubbles plates enough so this was just a match made in heaven!
In only 30 minutes! Can you believe it?!
Sometimes because there are so many things you CAN do in nail art you forget that simple can be beautiful
Can you see the flakies in this base? Oh Em Gee just beautiful!  Lots of copper and blue with flashies of violet.

One 30 minute mani challenge down! Hopefully I can do a couple more that are just as beautiful!

How much time do you usually spend on a manicure?  Do you tend to do something quick and easy or do you like to do something more time consuming and detailed?

A little something to brighten up the day!

Hi Everyone!  Happy Monday!  I did some neon water marbling this weekend and they turned out pretty cool.  I wasn't ready to ditch it just yet as yesterday and today we have some nice  sunny weather so I did what I always do and stamped over it LOL!

I hauled out some of my new China Glaze Electric Nights--Daisy Know My Name, Glow With The Flow, Home Sweet House Music & Treble Maker.  Naturally when I did this it was rainy and cold but here's a pic of the water marble before I stamped over it.
I've haven't water marbled in a long time as I've been doing dry marbles lately but I thought I'd give this a go
Indoor shot naturally as Saturday it was cold and rainy
Both yesterday and today though it's nice and sunny.  I went out to snap a few pics without looking crazy as neighbors were out and here's what I did over it
I used one of my new Born Pretty Store plates BP-L010.  I love everything ab out this plate!!!!  It's all tribal images!

My index and pinkie are from MoYou Explorer 23 I barely got them on there LOL.  I matted it then for my African Tribal look.  I really like it!

What do you think?  Do you like it better before or after the stamping?

Hope you are all having a great day!  Thanks for stopping by!

Pink & Purple Tribal----two for the price of one!

Hi Everyone!  Happy Friday!  The flash challenge in the Advanced Nail Stamping group was pink & purple tribal.  I'm not going to lie I was the one who picked the challenge!  I love tribal!  I could wear it every single day!

I did a couple of tribal mani's using the pink & purple colors.  First up is the pink and purple gradient and Marianne's N13 plate.  I love this plate!
I used some neons for this and my camera just can't not do neons AND there was no sun out.  China Glaze Glow With The Flow, Plur-ple and OPI Push & Pur-pull for this gradient
Let's hope the kitchen floor is clean since it's the background!
This Marianne's plate has a lot of ancient tribal on it which I just love

Next up I wanted to do a Aztec Galaxy mani because I love them and have seen them around for a long time and just never did one!

This time I used a lot of images from my Mash 64 plate which I just don't use because  the Mash plates are too small for my nails.  Luckily this time I was able to use them!  I did a base with Kiko 255 which is a gorgeous dark purple with holo glitters in it.  The perfect backdrop for this mani even though it's mostly covered up LOL!
I sponged on some pink and purple cremes and a bit of blue creme as well for my galaxy bases.  Naturally China Glaze Fairy Dust is also involved!
I do love this one.  It's hard to say which image is my favorite but I really think it's the ring finger.
I had to do the decal method with these as stamping straight lines is hard as hell.  When placement is important ALWAYS decal!

When I told my son about Aztec Galaxy he made fun of me saying there is no such thing as Aztec Galaxy.  Naturally I was affronted.  Then he went as far as to say I might as well just call it an Ancient Aliens mani!

What do you think?  Pretty good ANUS challenge this time hey?  The rule was whoever got theirs done first gets to pick the next challenge.  My friend Stephanie aka @furlygirl33 was done first so she's picking the next challenge!  I can't wait to see what she is going to throw at us!

Which one of these pink & purple tribal nails do you like the best?

Thanks for stopping by!!! I hope you all have a fantastic weekend!

Groovy Grunge!

Hi Everyone!! Happy Hump Day!  I feel like one of these Wednesday's I should do some sort of camel mani LOL!  I've really been digging my alcohol inks lately.  And by digging I mean obsessed with my alcohol inks lately.  They are so freaking cool and you can do SO many things with them!  Tonight I'm going to making up a few sheer tints with them and last night I put together what I call a groovy grunge look.  I stupidly didn't take any pictures of just the base though so you're going to have to put up with just the finished look.  Sorry Charlie!

Here it is . . .  what do you think?
I used Tim Holtz alcohol inks using the Dockside Picnic which has the colors Watermelon, Citrus and Sail Boat Blue in it
The base turned out really cool!
I stamped with FUN13
I'm still learning with these inks.  This mani I had no trouble with at all with topcoating with Seche Vite.  All the colors stayed the same.  I had done one previously and even sprayed with hairspray to seal it in as I was told to do and the topcoat completely ruined it!  It changed all the colors on it which sucked!
I am digging them though and I think this mani turned out cool.

Have you tried the alcohol inks yet??

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope you all have a fantastic day!

Know when to stop!

Hi Everyone!! Happy Monday to all!  I had a great weekend.  I spent all day with my little sister Nel and our grand nephew Sean.   We went to a kids learning and activity fair on Saturday morning and there was so much cool stuff to check out.  Sean is four and loves to dance so we looked at a dance school for him which I think is going to be pretty cool. He also tried his hand at tennis with a real racket and was pretty good.  He loved it!  So lots of fun options ahead for him for sure.

He's got a birthday coming up in June.  Don't tell him but we are buying him a new riding toy!  He has a small motorcycle he has to push with his feet to ride and it's too dang small for him LOL.  His tricycle also too small.  We are going to try to find another motorcycle but are also going to check out a big wheel and a bike.  He wants a Batman cake for his birthday this year too so he's moved on from Spiderman now LOL!  Poor Spidey.

After the fair we went home and played outside for a couple of hours and shot some hoops.  Tee Tee Laurie was a cheerleader though.  I'm too old to be shooting hoops.  After that we went inside to watch the movie Spirit again( for the fifty millionith time) but basically for me that meant nap time!  We had some pizza rolls and pizza for dinner and then it was time to head back home.  Really a great time!

Sunday my son finally caved in to watching a scary movie with me.  I had been trying to get him to watch one with me forever and he's not a huge fan so then naturally he picked one that was super terrifying!  The Babadook.  OMG totally freaky and terrifying.  I stayed up until like 2 am before finally caving in to sleep because I felt like I would have nightmares.  Thankfully it was a restful night's sleep!

Yesterday I played around with some dry marbling.  And I really loved what I did but naturally I messed it up by stamping over it! Curse you Sunday Challenges!

So here's a couple of pictures of the cool drying marbling I did
If you remembering my bowling ball mani I did the dry marbling the same way by using an old plastic plate sleeve and then just applying stripes of color and working through them with a toothpick
Isn't it cool??? It is! Totally!

Then I stamped over it with FUN13 for the AIS Sunday Challenge--flowers of a different color and it's not as great anymore :(
Lesson learned!
I really do enjoy this dry marbling though.  I'm working on another idea later today and I'm going to play with some of my alcohol inks too!

I hope everyone is having a great Monday so far!  Thanks for stopping by!

The Digit-al Dozen Does Childhood--The King Of Rock n Roll!

Hi Everyone!! Happy Friday!!  Today I guess I saved the best for last with my childhood mani!

Most people who know me know without any doubt I am an Elvis fan.  I have been one almost my entire life.  As a young girl of seven I fell in love with him for the first time while watching him sing and dance his way into Shelley Fabares heart in the movie Girl Happy.  When all  my friends were into David Cassidy, Bobby Sherman, Donny Osmand, and Andy Gibb I was into Elvis.  I have always been into Elvis and will be until the day I die.

I am lucky enough to have a super friend who happens to be the genius behind Red Dog Designs and when I asked Gina if she could do a couple of custom polishes for me that were Elvis related she said "sure!" and she did an awesome job!  Last year I had her come up with a polish that looked like Elvis' famous eagle jumpsuit.  I named it Elvis Has Left The Building.

I wanted to be try to recreate said famous eagle jumpsuit but my freehand skills are absolute crap so I reached out and asked the wonderful Sheila of The Pointless Cafe if she could a drawing up for me to recreate.  Sheila is amazing, her free hand skills are awesome and even though she was super busy last night she took time out to do a drawing for me I could actually recreate!

So today I have the most awesome mani to show you for my final day of The Digital-al Dozen's childhood week

Here's the famous Elvis eagle jumpsuit I recreated

Oh my goodness be still my heart!  I still heart Elvis after 47 years!!!!

This is the drawing Sheila made for me.  I foolishly felt like I could get it all on one nail LOL!  She told me nope no way and came up with this for me instead

That right there is an original piece by Sheila from The Pointless Cafe people, someday it will be worth millions!

Here's my custom polish from Red Dog Designs--Elvis Has Left The Building
It's an awesome white jelly with red, blue and gold various sized glitters with gold holo stars and micro gold glitters
I think Gina completely nailed it when she created this polish for me.
I will say this wasn't easy.  I had to use a toothpick to dot with and had to redo the middle finger 4 times.  And in the end my eagle's eye isn't where it should be BUT this is freaking awesome!

What do you all think??  Did I nail it or what?
 Elvis, forever in my heart.

I'm heading over to check out the last day for everyone.  I have to say I really enjoyed this theme a lot!

The Digit-al Dozen Does Childhood--Aquaman!

Hi Everyone!  Do you remember on Monday when I told the story of how my dad had to crush my dreams when he told me Tarzan wasn't real so there wasn't going to be anyone to save me from quick sand or from being mauled by a lion?  Well today is another one of those days!

When I was a young girl I was totally in love with the cartoon Aquaman from The Justice League.  Honestly I think I had something for Atlantis period because I really had a crush on Patrick Duffy in The Man From Atlantis too.  Anyway I really loved Aquaman.  I honestly don't know why because today I can tell you swimming in the ocean absolutely terrifies me.  Cue years ago when I professed my love for Aquaman and talked about getting married to him and my father having to break it to me that cartoons weren't real and you couldn't marry a cartoon.  Cue a young girl's broken heart yet AGAIN!  Jeeze dad cut a girl a break why don't you?

Cue modern day when the news broke my heart throb Jason Momoa was going to be playing Aquaman! OH MY GOD is this fate of what?  I wanted to marry Aquaman and the guy I have a major crush on is going to be Aquaman!  It is fate I tell you!

Today I did a mani based totally on the new improved super hot Aquaman who will played by Jason Momoa--way to go Jason!  I'm pretty excited for the up coming movies and seeing The Justice League in action again--Superman, Batman, Robin, Wonder Woman, Aquaman woot those are going to be some good times for sure!

I  based this mani on the picture that's been all over the internet showing Jason as they new Aquaman
OH MY LANTA! Doesn't he look amazing???!!!!
Seriously I can barely stand it!
I used one of my favorite Messy Mansion plates for this MM21 and then did an accent nail with VL1.  I really love how it turned out!
What do you think?  Get out my mani with the new Aquaman pic
What do you think???? Are we thinking this is fate that my man crush is now playing Aquaman??????  Is  my dad shaking his head at me up there in Heaven?  Is Lisa Bonet going to come gunning for me after this??

I'm going to pop over and check out my cohorts--they have been nailing it this week!
