Monkey See Monkey Do Pinterest find!

Hi Everyone!!! Happy Monday!  I got to do some shopping with mom on Saturday and we got some tops for 70% off!  I'm sure they were meant to be summer tops however it's still fairly warmish here and I can layer all of these with a black cardigan so winner winner chicken dinner!!  I found an awesome pic I had pinned ages ago from Pinterest and was even able to toss in an untried for this mani to go along with one of my new tops!

This was just a simple needle drag mani using Sinful Colors Snow Me White, Zoya Shelby, and my untried OPI Give Me Moor.
Give Me Moor is a deep black cherry jelly.  I'm not a huge fan of jellies but since it was opaque in two coats I can live with it!
I did the swirls on both the ring and thumb
I think needle art was the first type of nail art I ever attempted and that was nearly 13 years ago!
And in this case I was too lazy to get up to search for an actual needle so I used a teeny top dotting too!
Here's a side by side with the pic I found on Pinterest--no name to credit and I HATE when that happens!!!!!!

It's going to be a super busy Monday for me today BUT I'm hanging with my little sister after work so I know that will be a good time!!!

Thanks for stopping by!! I hope you all have a fantastic day!

Adventures In Stamping Challenge--Ungirly!

Hi Everyone!!! Happy Sunday!!! I feel really bad about being MIA the past few days but I've been SO busy!  Yesterday instead of doing my nails I spent the day with my mom.  We went to see Prisoners and then went shopping.  the movie was great!  Very suspenseful and tense though.  And here mom wanted to have a nice relaxing and fun day LOL!  we did some shopping next and I got a few tops and sweaters for 70% off!  And mom bought me a new set of dishes that I've been wanting forever--they were 50% off!! Woot!  What a great day so I don't feel too bad about not getting any nails done.

Because I have another super busy day ahead of me I just had a quick minute to get a mani done for today's Adventures In Stamping theme which is "ungirly".  No pink, no glitter, no ruffles.  I decided to do a quick textured gradient.  I went with Red Dog Designs Sunny Shores and Zoya London because it matched the top I'm wearing today

Here's a shot of the gradient before cleanup.  I don't clean up my textured gradients before stamping as I don't topcoat them.
I stamped using BM310 because it reminded me of the universal symbol for man or men

And there you have it!  The Packers are on a bye today so no plans for any Packer parties!  I'm going to be taking my nephew back up to school in Platteville so we have lots of time to chat--yes Auntie Laurie is like the Spanish Inquisition folks!  It's a gorgeous day and although I won't be outside enjoying it, I will be having some pretty scenery for a 3 hour drive today!

Thanks for stopping by!! I hope you all have a great day!

I get by with a little help from my friends!

Hi Everyone!!  At the beginning of the month I had the extreme pleasure of meeting up with some nail polish friends.  Meeting them, hanging out and doing nails all day WAS A BLAST!  I got to check out some plates I didn't have (yet) and some polishes I didn't have (yet) and teach them my gradient technique and the nail decal method.  It was so much fun and we did a lot of really cool mani's that day.

Some of them you've seen with the Digital-Dozen Does It Again but here's one I didn't show you yet.  It's my favorite one from that day.

My friend Deb was kind enough to let me try OPI Can't Let Go and I fell in love with it IMMEDIATELY!  OMG I love this dark textured so much!
I paired it with a Sally Hansen Gem Crush but it's Danielle's so I don't know the name!  It's red that's all I know!!!
I added my favorite image from DRK-B and called it a gorgeous mani!
After that weekend I bought Can't Let Go because I knew I could not let go of not having that polish!!!

I hope you all have nail polish friends you can get together with and brainstorm for some ideas, and hang out--it's so much fun.  We're wanting to do it again next month and come up with some great Halloween ideas!

Thanks for stopping by!!! I hope you all have a fantastic day!

Ssssssssssssflajo's Anaconda!

Hi Everyone!!!  When Jody asked me to review a polish from her Halloween collection I was ALL OVER IT!  Soflajo has some amazing polishes and I have loved every single thing I've reviewed for her as well as bought from her.  She thinks outside the box and always has a great theme behind her polishes.

She sent me a really cool scattered holographic shifting polish from her Halloween collection.  It's called Anaconda.  It's pretty amazing, it's even hard to describe!  It's a purple grey shifting polish that in the sun has a gorgeous holographic shimmer.

I took some pictures of Anaconda under the lamp as it was dark when I first got to put this baby on

The sun never did come out so I decided to do some nail art and did a couple of accent nails with Butter London Jack The Lad because it was sitting next to me.  I took them both to work with me to get some pics--they look great together!

I tried to get some good pics in the sun but it was pretty hard!
So how gorgeous Anaconda is??? A purpley grey!  I just love it!

And Anaconda looks fantastic with Jack the Lad--a great Halloween combo!
I went back inside and got pics at my desk with my make shift light box
Really pretty!
Hard to get a bottle shot though LOL!  Watch out for the ssssssnake!
I stared at the colors all day trying to decide what nail art I would do
It didn't dawn on me until I got home!!!
So here's an early Halloween mani if you will!!!  I stamped with China Glaze Cherish over Butter London's Jack The Lad using BM224 and added some snake eyes over Anaconda!
It's pretty cool!!!

Anaconda is part of Soflajo's Halloween Collection titled A Snake In The Hand Is Worth Two On The Toes.  It is available to purchase now along with the rest of the incredible collection which you can find HERE  Please stop by and take a look at the rest of the collection--they are all amazing!

Thanks for stopping by!!! I hope you have a fantastic day!

Autumn Nails

Hi Everyone!  Holy cow did I have a major fail of a mani this morning!  I worked on a gradient for today's AIS challenge theme which is Autumn Nail and what I fully expected to turn out glorious and beautiful was a hot sucktastic mess!  Good lord it was ugly.  My friend James always tries to say I have no fails but I think we all know I have had some major fails!  I was able to recover this fumble though (how do you love that football analogy for football Sunday???) and do something I think is quite lovely.

The colors I chose today are Nails Inc Hamstead Gardens--one of those pretty "ugly" colors and Zoya Pepper and Toni.

Here's the craptastic gradient and stamping first
Yikes this is just a hot mess!  I didn't even clean up that great since I knew it wasn't staying on!
I did like how my thumb turned out though and I thought of doing the same gradient again with different stamping
But I didn't!

Here's the ever elusive and rarely seen in the wild right hand--the one I refer to as my "man" hand.  I had stamped over the left and then realized I should have taken some pics of just the lovely Fall skittle!
Nails Inc Hamstead Gardens is that mustardy/baby poop yellow.  It's perfect for Fall!  The ring is Zoya Toni and really nice bordeux and the swear is Zoya Pepper--the perfect brick red!

I stamped using SA-02 with China Glaze Passion
I think it still says "Autumn" and it definitely looks better as a skittle rather a gradient!
I really like my new set of SA plates from Aliexpress.com!!
While the distinct difference between Zoya Pepper and Toni is harder to tell with the stamping over it, this mani is much better in my eye than the gradient.

Here's the Before and After shots though--YOU be the judge!

Heading over to a friend's for the Packer game!!!!  Hope my mani brings the Pack good luck!

Thanks for stopping by!! I hope you all have a fantastic day!

Dot---Dot---Dot----Goose!

Hi Everyone!! Happy Saturday!  It's a gorgeous day here in Racine, WI--not a cloud in the sky and it will stay that way in the mid 60's.  Mom and I are going to do some shopping today and I'm debating on whether or not to drive up to Milwaukee for another melmer.  They are having a 60% off sale at Michael's right now and mine is out of the size I need.

I've still got a blue for my blue week to show you!  Last night I put on the lovely Zoya Sunshine which is a stunning dark blue Pixie Dust.  I stamped using one of my new SA plates which I ordered from AliExpress.

I know I've said it a zillion times BUT  I just love textured polish!
I quite happy with my SA set as well!  I got 20 plates and this is SA10
This dotted look is really cool!
Hopefully this weekend I'll have some time to play with my new Nailuv Gel kit AND do another spiked mani!  I have an idea what I want to do for the spiked one I just have to hope what I see in my mind will transfer to my nails

I hope you all have a great weekend!

Has Anyone Seen Rod Serling?!

Hi Everyone!  I got home super late last night and I was just exhausted.  I'm really not a fan of days like that.  I need to have my "me" time.  "Me" time usually consists of being able to do my nails, watching some Discovery ID and of course reading.  It actually also involves playing Farm Heroes Saga but once again I'm stuck on that dang game!

I got packages up the wazoo last night too!  Packages from Darling Diva Polish, Red Dog Designs, my UV lite gel kit and the Pueen Love Elements set.  Just as I knew it would happen I am now on plate overload!  I got an order in from Aliexpress, the Pueen set is here, and I have orders from Messy Mansion, MoYou and Cheeky on their way to me! UG!

Tonight I'm heading to Michael's after work to pick up ANOTHER MELMER!  OH THE HORROR!!!  I vow to be done after this though.  If I have more polish than will fit into 12 drawers that is WAY too much like hoarding and I don't film well so I really can't wind up on Hoarders!

So because I didn't have enough time for nail art last night, and still wanting to keep up with blue theme I went with a Nabi magnetic!  It turned out super cool!  I love magnetics!
I was surprised how great this turned out the first time around!  Sometimes I have to redo a few fingers.
I have pretty curved nails so magnetics aren't always my best friend, but they look pretty good here!!
I really love how you get instant art with just a magnetic--no muss and no fuss!

No label on the bottom of my Nabi though, so I can't even say what this color is!

Thanks for stopping by!! I hope you all have a fantastic day!!

Shake Your Tail Feathers!

Hi Everyone!!! Happy Hump Day!  I'm trying to keep up with a blue a day idea so I hauled out some scattered holos I made eons ago and decided to do a little peacock gradient accent nails design.  I had to take pictures under the lamp in the living room tonight--it's dark so ding dang fast now!  Not 5 o clock fast, but fast enough!

I'm working at 6am so I needed to get to bed before 10 lol!  OMG I have turned into my parents for sure!  gone are the days I'd be up til 3am and then sleep till 11! Gone are the days I'd be up til 3am and get up at 6am too LOL!

I whipped up these frankens quite awhile ago--well over a year.  I don't pull the things out I've made nearly enough!

First up--Viviane  she's a lovely purple scattered holo
Next comes Rigger a nice forest green scattered holo
And then the lovely Seeing Blind a blue scattered holo
Seeing Blind is one of my favorites!  AND it is definitely my favorite book by Katie Allen!!!

I did some stamping in gold using MM14 over my gradient
It turned out pretty lovely without any sun I must say!
I love Messy Mansion plates!  Every one Julia comes up with is great!
I think I'm doing pretty good keeping up with the blues!

Thanks for stopping by!! I hope you all have a fantastic day!!

How Blue You Do?

Hi Everyone!!! Happy Monday!  I decided to look through the stash and haul out some untrieds and some favorites this week!  I feel like I'm getting buried alive in the untrieds!   I decided to start with my first problem color--Blue and do a week long of blue!  Let's see how cool and interesting I can keep it!

First up I pulled out Sinful Colors Sugar Rush, OPI Swimsuit Nailed It! (my favorite blue) and Hard Candy Mr Right--pretty much the only Mr Right I'm ever going to see is on my fingertips LOL!  I kept it simple with a way cool needle drag!
These types of mani's look complex but they are SO easy!
Start with your basecoat, add two coats of Sinful Color Sugar Rush then while everything is still nice a wet draw a line with Mr Right on the right leave a nice space of Sugar Rush in the middle and then do a nice line of Swimsuit Nailed It! on the left.  Take a needle or a small dotting tool and simple drag in a zig zag motion across the nail!

The thumb turned out the best I think!
This is an easy way to get some cool nail art!
I've got a lot of different blues--creams, shimmers, holo, neon, frankened, glitter, suede--you name it I got it!!!

I think this will be a fun week!

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope you all have a fantastic day!

Cooking up some skittles

Hi Everyone!! Wow trying to come up with an idea of your own after a two week long Digit-al Dozen Challenge is a bit daunting!  I had to think for myself!  I tossed together a quick and easy skittle mani.  I didn't have much time to think about any great ideas--it's Packer Sunday!!!  Today the party is at my sister's.  We're having tacos so I need to get some guacamole made up and head on over there for a fun filled day!

For this mani I put together some matte with some holo--I love those two looks together!
My index is Nabi Tawny, my swear is a franken I made--Pumpkin Spice Latte, ring is Zoya Caitlin and pinkie is Zoya Dove.  I matted Caitlin with some silver stamping!!
I added the green rhinestone to Pumpkin Spice Latte because my thumb has the lovely Zoya Veruschka on it!
These are definitely some fall colors which is good as we are seeing 50 degree weather today with rain
I need to do skittles more often!  I always like the end results when I do!

Thanks so much for stopping by!  I wish everyone who entered the Spectacular September Giveaway the best of luck!!!

I hope you all have a great day and of course Go Pack, Go!!!!!!!!
