Hi Everyone! Happy Monday! I'm home sick today. Yes I finally caught a freaking cold now that the all the snow is melting and it's expected to be 50 this week LOL. I am barking like a seal without pitch too let me tell you. I've got some things to make me feel better like some chicken and dumpling soup and tapioca pudding and my all time favorite comfort food--cherry turnovers. It's amazing how all those things can just wrap you up in comfort.
AND I discovered a new author whom I just love AND found out she even lives in Wisconsin! Talk about a small world! Thanks to an Amazon recommendation I was able to snag the first book by her free--totally freaking free! I bought the other three by her as fast as you can blink. Amazon is dang smart offering up the first book in a series for free because it ensnares you and you want to buy them all. Good job Amazon! Even better job Molly! She is a wonderful writer--her characters are fantastic and if you're like me, someone who loves their romance hot and spicy and a little bit (okay sometimes a lot of bit) dirty she is fantastic. Her books seriously get you right in the feels.
Okay enough of the rambling! Let's get on with this week's Digit-al Dozen theme which is Nature! OMG when I first heard nature you know all I wanted to do was leopard print! I can't help it! My mind just does not go anywhere other than big cats and jungles when I hear nature LOL. I had to pull myself back try to get logical and think a little bit outside the box. So today I managed to live within both worlds my love for the big cats and jungle and thinking outside the box and not doing leopard print the next 5 days
Thanks to a kick ass gradient I saw by my friend and fellow Digit-al Dozener Serene of Copycat Claws I came up with a gorgeous mani for today!
For my gradient which I had first seen done for a Fall manicure look by Copycat Claws I used Zoya India, Autumn and Kerry. It is truly stunning gradient. I added some Born Pretty Store stamping and BAM Hear me roar!
This is one hot look I think!
Here's a closeup I'm trying out a new watermark what do you all think?
Good or too distracting?
I decided to try a matte topcoat over it to see if I would like it better I think it's a tough call to make!
It is pretty kick ass matte too
Here they are together matte and shiny which do you like better?
I think today I like it better shiny LOL
Okay let's head over and check out all the amazing stuff my friends have come up for The Digit-al Dozen Does Nature Week!
Oooohhhh I love it shiny and matte! Katy Perry's Roar is on the radio at work as I type this and your mani is definitely roaring! More so than the song :-P
ReplyDeletethanks to your wonderful gradient idea this mani really came to life!
DeleteThis is so gorgeous! I like it both ways but you know matte is my favorite. ;)
ReplyDeleteThanks Ashie!
DeleteOh my gosh...this mani...and it in matte! Amazingl
ReplyDeleteThanks Amanda!
DeleteHope you are feeling better soon! They are both fabulous but I think I prefer matte just a tad more!
ReplyDeleteWow! That gradient is gorgeous! Perfect base for big cats!
ReplyDeleteI was the same - I had to make myself not do an entire week of leopard and zebra!
ReplyDeleteOh wow, this looks really cool!
ReplyDeleteIt is a tough call! I like the matte version but then the shimmer is all lost! lol they came out great!
ReplyDeleteI hope you feel better! I got caught with the flu last week and it sucked. I like the glossy version myself :)
ReplyDeletetotally freaking fierce! I prefer shiny, I think :)
ReplyDeleteSorry you've been sick! This is perfect and I especially love it matted!
ReplyDeleteI don't know how you keep doing it. This is incredible... as usual.
ReplyDeleteOMG these are so fierce! I absolutely love them (especially mattified!!!)
ReplyDeleteThis mani kicks butt! I like it best shiny :)
ReplyDeleteI hope you're feeling better from your cold. Nothing worse than getting sick in the springtime!
Gorgeous! I love both versions. The matte is more softer and fur-like while the shiny is BAM in your face amazing! :)
ReplyDeleteWow these are very bad ass! I love the glossy version better - normally I go for matte, but the glossy adds a bit of sexiness to this look. ;)
ReplyDeletegrowl - these are hawt! xx
