Adventures In Stamping Flashback to the 70's!!!

Hi Everyone!!!  Today's theme in the Adventures In Stamping Facebook group is The 70's.  Holy cow flashback for me!  Was I alive in the 70's--heck yeah!  I was born in 1963 so I remember the 70's well.  While some might say the fashion was awesome, omg it was not!  We ran the gamut back then with Little House On The Prairie smocks, caps and wire rim glasses, to high heeled platform heels, bell bottoms and crocheted vests!  Elvis was the skinny Elvis in the early 70's and he looked fabulous!  Girls fell in love with David Cassidy, Andy Gibb and I'm pretty sure Leif Garret was in there too!

I remember watching shows like The Six Million Dollar Man (OMG I miss that show!!!  I heart you Lee Majors!), Shazam and Isis, Tarzan, The Sonny & Cher Show, The Mac Davis Show and Laugh-In.  My dad loved Laugh-In!

The colors were sometimes wild and neon to the ugly brown, light blue, avocado and orange.  OMG Tupperware in the 70's was not pretty people!  Back then you had a green refrigerator too!  Crazy man!

I thought of a lot of things I could do then decided on this mani as it will double as a mani for my grandnephew's birthday party today!!!

I had a heck of a time with this mani I'll tell you.  I wanted to use my Cheeky XL C plate but I could not get my Kleancolor Black to stamp a single image I wanted to use on that plate!!! It really hacked me off!
I went digging through my plates and came up with this one!
My trusty Konad M65
I did have some issues with the black and white stamping but it was now 10pm and I knew I would take it off after a day so I said forget it and called it a night!!

All I did for the neon was lay down some neon colors in orange, yellow, pink and green and then stamp over it with black.  I love how it turned out and it totally reminds me of Laugh-in!!
It's pretty funky and I think it will be a great mani for Sean's birthday party today too!

For those of you celebrating Father's Day today with your dad, give him a big hug and tell him you love him!
