How I wore it day two!

Hi Readers!  I'm on day two of my black and white kick and can I just say I rocked this one!  Again another matching blouse, and mani AND I got to haul out the handcuff bracelet and cage ring!! Woot! Woot!  I simply painted over my mani from yesterday with black and stamped with white and was able to save some time AND Nail Envy!  Here's what I came up with for today
I think I like this one even better than yesterday's mani!
I love this switching up an accent nail too!
This time I hauled out my Cheeky XL A plate for the both designs.  It's a great plate full of really cool geometric images.
And check this out! Here's my handcuff bracelet and cage ring!!
And here's the blouse I wore today--my mani matched it perfectly!
What do you think of this one Readers?  Do you like today's or yesterday's better?

Thanks for stopping by!! I hope you all have a fantastic day!

How I wore it day one!

Hi Readers!  When looking for some inspiration for a mani I decided to try to match the shirt I was going to wear to work the next day.  I have a couple of black and white "crinkle" tops and thought I wonder if I could get 2 days out of a mani instead of just one with these colors.  I seriously thought about water marbling black and white but then decided against it and I'm really glad I did!  This is what I came up with instead!

I love the dramatic look of the white stamped over black!

This was such an easy mani to do too--no gradienting just polish and stamp!

But here's the really cool thing--check out the top I wore with it!

BUT THAT'S NOT ALL!  When I was searching for jewerly to go with it I remembered the black and white crackle bracelet and ring I made a few months ago

And here they are all together!

I just love how this turned out! I'm wearing another black and white top again tomorrow so I plan on just covering up this stamping and doing something else--let's see if I actually follow through on that lol!

What I used for this mani was Milani Black Swift and White On and stamped with Mash plate m60.

What do you think of this Readers? Do you like the matching look or is it overkill for you?

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you all have a fantastic day!!

This one didn't go unnoticed!

Hi Readers!  I forgot to let you all know I'm back at work!  Yes! After last month's fiasco I find myself working in a great company with some really nice people.  It's always "iffy" when you're working if you like nail polish because you're not sure if you have to go the quiet and subdued look or if you can just be yourself.  Luckily for me I can be myself.  The fab woman training me comments and compliments me on my nails everyday.  With this mani I didn't really have much time to get creative the night before so I hauled out my old tried and true go to design--can anyone guess what it might be?????
Did you all guess right???? Yep it's a mermaid tail mani lol.  And this one might look super familiar because they fab Cris from Let Them Have Polish did one like this awhile ago.  It's one of my all time favorite mani's by her.  I posted mine on her facebook wall and she tried to tell me this one was better than the original but no really it's not!  This is the original please make sure you check it out!!
I fell back into my gradient ways as used Zoya Wednesday and Color Club Metamorphosis and then stamped using Kleancolor Metallic Aqua.
I hadn't really intended to copy Cris' with this mani BUT after I had the gradient done and the aqua stamped on top I said holy crap this reminds me of Cris' fab mani so I had to haul out the rhinestones to make it a look alike lol!
We all went on a little tour of the office building and it turns out I was the only one who hadn't yet met the head of the department.  I stepped into her office to greet her and shake hands with her and the first thing she said to me  was "I love your nails!"  No doubt about it these are a show stopper!
I wore then with a cute teal crinkle top and they matched perfectly!  If I'd had the time I would have made a matching ring!
I know I've said it a bazillion times but I just love a mermaid tail mani!

What do you think of this one?  Do you like that all the colors are in the same color family or do you wish they had been different from each other?

Thanks for stopping by!!  I hope you all have a fantastic day!

Monkey See, Monkey Do Monday--Pinterest Find!

Hi Readers! Well today's MSMD post is going to be ugly.  Yes I mean ugly.  Oh lord I was doing so good and then I had to go and get confident with my "cutesy" ability and MAJOR FAIL!  I saw this cute tutorial on Pinterest awhile ago and I said "oh that's SO cute" I didn't get a chance to do the ladybug summer challenge so I wanted to at least get them in with MSMD and holy cow I was better off leaving well enough alone!  Here it is the good, the bad and the pretty crummy
I don't know I'm just not really feeling these little ladybugs!  I guess I'm just not really a cute kind of gal lol!  I have a pic with thumbie but it's the only one I took and it's a bit blurry lol!
When it comes to free hand it's like I have no hands!

Here's where I found the cute tutorial--I just wish mine were as cute! http://blog.julep.com/diy-nail-tutorial-summer-lady-bugs

Sunday Stamping Challenge--Stamp over glitter!

Hi Readers!  Happy Father's Day to those of you celebrating it today. My post is late because I had my grand nephew's birthday party today AND Father's Day!  We had a blast though so really I'm not too sorry lol!  I gave Sean a bubble gun for his 2nd birthday and it was a HUGE hit!
I was a bit leery of the challenge today because stamping over glitter isn't so easy.  It's also a reason why I'm not really on the huge have all the indie polishes kick.  I don't like a "plain" mani.  I like a design and stamping on mine so some huge chunks of glitter tossed into a colored base really don't do much for me because stamping over them rarely works.
BUT I am lucky enough to have a fabulous indie polish with glitter from my friend Amy of I'm Feeling Nailventurous that takes stamping like a charm!  Months ago when I got my coveted and most loved Voodoo Doll from Amy I also got this gem of a polish Hurricane Season.  I hadn't worn it today and seriously I need more than 50 lashes for that!  It is SPECTACULAR!  It's a steely blue grey with loads of micro silver glitter.  To amp it up just a bit I layered my Ragnelle franken over it and basically I fell in love
The good news is I wore this for awhile without stamping on it so I could really appreciate it's beauty!
BUT I haven't missed a Sunday challenge yet so when I got home I stamped on it!
Isn't she a beauty???!!!
I absolutely love the image I picked to stamp over it too!  So cool!  It's from the new MASH set--it's plate Mash-38  It reminds me of the camo clothes they try to make look cool--really camo is only cool when you're in the military though lol!
Really how cool is this???
I just love the color of Hurricane Season--it's the perfect stormy blue.
What do you think of this one Readers??

I hope you all had a great weekend!

Summer Challenge--Hippie, retro

Hi Readers!  Today's Summer Challenge theme is hippie, retro, summer of love.  I'm old BUT not old enough to be a hippie--well I guess there is no age limit on hippies but I'm still not one lol!  I decided to go the stereotype hippie and do some tie dye nails!
Then because it's me I had to do some stamping!
Far out man!!!
You might recognize this as a technique I've done before--needle marble.  It's SUPER easy!  You just drag the needle across your nails for this design.  I wanted to use rainbow colors but my green just didn't work and my nails weren't really wide enough to use all 7 colors lol.  I settled for China Glaze Salsa, OPI Atomic Orange, Zoya Pippa and Pure Ice French Kiss.
It's pretty groovy!
And here's the latest list of the Summer Challengers!! Check em out when you have time!

This ain't yo momma's water marble

Hi Readers!  I think we know from the spatter mani I'm not all about the 'usual' type colors.  I'm not a pastel person and not really a bright colors gal.  I love the deep, dark vampy colors especially for my nails.  Today I have a watermarble featuring those deep dark colors!
I started with a base of the lovely Devil's Lure by Revlon--it's a nice super dark and vampy red with a bit of buried shimmer to it
To marble I used the Devil's Lure, a gold unnamed Pure Ice that came with a crackle duo and OPI Brisbane Bronze.
Even though this is dark and bold, it's a subtle water marble effect.
I have to say I really love a shimmery water marble!
What do you think of this one Readers?? Is this one up your alley or do you prefer the lighter or brighter type water marbles?

Thanks for stopping by!! I hope you all have a fantastic day!
