It's the final countdown!

Hi Everyone!!! Happy Sunday!  It's a nice day here,  low 80's today and partly sunny.  The partly part is a bit sad as I have a Ruby Wing on but when I went out to take pics no sun so no color change :(  BUT it's bright purple neon so that means 2 things.  One I'm able to use it for the last day of Neon Week and Two I can use it for today's AIS theme which is your birthstone color!  Woot!  My birthday is in February and I'm so glad because amethyst is freaking gorgeous!

Today I hauled out Ruby Wing Crowd Surf and did 2 accent nails with Sonoma Sister Sparkle The Exalted One over it and it's damn pretty!

I added some rhinestones I had gotten a couple years ago from Bundle Monster.  For some reason I just never think to haul these babies out

My stamped image is the swirls from Cheeky Jumbo 9.  I've been using these alot lately and loving them!

I had A LOT of fun for Neon Week.  I'm glad it forced me to get out and wear some embrace and embrace the younger sunny side of life!

Let's see what everyone else has finished off with !

An apple a day . . .

Hi Everyone!!! Happy Saturday!  It's a gorgeous day out today.  We've got a bright sunny day--it's in the low 80's and mom and I are going see The Heat today.  I'm thinking some kind of yummy low carb salad for dinner tonight too.  A grilled chicken fajita job or maybe grilled chicken with strawberries--who knows???!!  I'm pretty sure I'm not going to be able to resist movie popcorn though so I better get off my butt and take a walk later!

We're almost done with neon week and can I just say how much I enjoyed it!  OMG I never though I would say that EVER.  I guess neon grew on me!  It sure made me tremendously happy to be able to use the neons I got from The Nail Junkie!  Today I'm featuring the super bright and fun Apple!
No gradient, just full on Apple!!!!
What I love most about all of The Nail Junkie's neons is the added shimmer!!! They are just gorgeous with that teeny sparkle!
Hauled out my new PUEEN set too, it was a gift from my son for Mother's Day--he's darn good and checking out the Amazon wish list!
Accent nail is PUEEN20 and the rest are PUEEN05
Despite the curved images for french tips they are still long enough to fit my nails!  Win--Win!
I'm going to try to nail 2 birds with 1 stone tomorrow to finish up Neon Week AND get in my Adventures In Stamping mani!!!! CAN.I.DO.IT???

Let's see what else is going on with my cohorts!

Horse of a different color

Hi Everyone!!! Happy Friday!!  Most everyone at work is off today except for 5 of us who volunteered to work.  I'm really going out on a limb by wearing some wild neon today.  Since I'm the only one who will be on my side of the building I don't have to worry about blinding too many people.

I was going to do a yellow, green and blue neon gradient but then forgot and painted yellow over my whole nail instead of going straight to gradient LOL!  FYI blue over yellow makes green!!!  So this is a love yellow and green neon gradient.
I'm not too sure if this Konad plate M69 is supposed to be a tiger or zebra but it had the closest stripes to match my zebra face from Cheeky Jumbo 9
I do like this mani, it's wild and bold
Could it be this Neon Week is starting to grow on me???
Too bad zebras weren't really this color!
Only a couple more days of Neon Week left!!!  Wonder what everyone else has done for today???!!

We interrupt this program for 4th of July!!!

Hi Everyone!!!  Happy 4th of July!!!! Since I'm celebrating my country's independence I'm skipping out on Neon Week for today.  This is a time to show some red, white and blue pride!

It's fabulous sunny day out today.  Not too hot, in the high 70's which is a welcome change from what it's been the past week.

I've got some country style pork ribs seasoned up with a nice mesquite dry rub and they'll be cooking in a few for some pulled pork.  I'm making up and nice red cabbage slaw to go with them.  We're debating on whether or not we want to cheat a little today and get ice cream--I guess only time will tell on that one LOL!

I'm going to spend the day lazing around reading some hot cowboy romances and of course doing my nails.  Digital Dozen is up next week so I've got to come up with some good ideas to keep up with those gals!

For today I have my 4th of July mani to show you.
I was super smart and ordered the Red Dog Designs Let Freedom Bling when it was available and man I love this 4th of July topper!!
It's full of red and white micro bar glitter and blue hexes with some added holographic micro and by micro I mean teeny bar and dust glitters AND holo silver stars!!!!

I have Ozotic 621 on for my red--one of my fave reds ever and Zoya Song on for the blue
Added just some stars though no stripes--I wasn't feel stripes with this mani I guess!

I hope everyone celebrating has a Safe & Happy 4th of July!!

Swirling Circles!

Hi Everyone!!! Happy Hump Day!!  We're on the eve of the 4th of July holiday here in the states.  I've got the day off tomorrow and I'm not sure what I'll be doing. It's supposed to rain so I'm not sure if we'll brave the weather and go to the parade.  Friends of mine are having a cook out but I've been doing really good on my low carb lifestyle that I'm not sure I should tempt fate.  Maybe I'll just hang out all day playing with nail polish and reading--who knows!

It's Day 3 of Neon Week though and today I'm wearing a cool french tip.  I really loved the neon gradient tip I did awhile ago for the AIS challenge so I did another one.

This is a gradient of China Glaze Pink Voltage and The Nail Junkie Blueberry
I think they are way cool together!
I thought about leaving it as it but that little bit of white sort of drove me nuts LOL!

I stamped over it to see if it would fix the little white stripe
What do you think??? Like it better with the stamping?
I really love it!

Another time where I think stamping adds to the gradient and doesn't take away from it!
For someone who doesn't really like neon I think I'm turning a new leaf!  This bright manicures are really a lot of fun!

Wonder what the other gals came up with for today!

Juicy Fruit

Hi Everyone!!  Oh my gosh last night I had an appointment for 5 more mani's! I had a blast doing them.  Someone came all the way from Georgia just to get their nails done by me!!! Okay not really but I'm going to tell people that!  My friend Wendy's sister and brother in law are here for a visit from Georgia and last night it was the mother daughter thing going on.  Wendy and her daughter, her sister Leslie and her daughter and her sister-in law Theresa and her daughter all had their nails done by me.  They are all going to see Wicked today and they were so elated to be going.

Everyone's nails turned out great and it was SO MUCH FUN for me to do!

And I'm happy to report I have a nice wad of cash for a new camera!!! Woot!  Woot!  Woot!

I managed to raise a whopping $300 for the camera fund.  Not sure if I'll spend it all as I am eyeing up some Dashica plates as well, but I should be able to get a nice little point and shoot with what I have.  Now I just need to camera shop!

But enough of that!!!  Let's get on to the good stuff, which is, of course, the mani!!!  Today is the 2nd day of Neon week and I have a fun little mani to show you.

I was running low on time last night as I didn't get home until after 10 pm so I threw this cute little number together!

I love how the sands give you instant nail art!

I used Red Dog Designs Sunny Shores and Kiko Sugar Mat 643 and the tips.  All I did was sponge on the Kiko 643 over the Sunny shores.  Then I stamped some cute fruit and voila!  Fun in the sun!

Here's pics of the mani without flash
And here are some flash pics
This is just so fun and fabulous!

We've got a nice inlinkz code going so let's move on over and see what everyone else has done!!

Monkey See Monkey Do Monday--Nail Craze!!

Hi Everyone!! I'm kicking off neon week with a fabulous MSMD mani.  It rocks, it rolls, and it definitely does not show my 50 years of age at all!  I'm doing neon week along with a few other fab bloggers so I had to pull out all the stops.  I'm sure many of you know I'm not a neon fan and the only reason I have any at all is because my beautiful niece Alex just loves them.

I did some googling searching and recognized Natalie's nails instantly!  I had to try to make it work the best I could as her NC02 plate is one I don't have yet.

Let's take a look at some of the pics shall we???!!!

Here's the gradient all on it's own.  This is a 3 color gradient directly onto the sponge and ooooomg!!  Look what happened---3 colors became 5!
BAZINGA!!!!! This is one bright mani!!
It's not a very smooth gradient however you can see the pink and yellow creating orange as well as the blue and yellow creating green

My gradient is only 3 colors, China Glaze Pink Voltage, Nina Ultra Pro Solar Flare and Blue Blaze--these 3 colors make up the 5 you see
I did a topcoat of China Glaze Fairy Dust over it and this is how it looks
HOLY COW THAT'S BRIGHT!

And now for the stamping.  As I said I do not have Nail Craze NC02 so I had to wing it.  I chose Cheeky Jumbo 9 the Wild At Heart plate as there is a cloud type image similar to NC02's cloud

Really words aren't necessary are they???
I do love black over neon, it makes them pop even more!

I called on the use of flash to make these neons really stand out!

This is Natalie's original image

You can see her original post HERE.  She's pretty amazing her and image plates are awesome!

So that's my first installment of neon week--I hope I can keep up living up to this greatness LOL!

I have a few fab friends doing neon week as well please stop by and check them out!
