Hi Everyone!
It's Digit-al Dozen week AND we have some new faces so OMG I really need to amp up my game! I felt like I had to pull out all the stops on this one.
I'm sure many of you know I am a HUGE Elvis fan. Recently I got a clutch on ebay that is not only Elvis, it's got a leather cuff attached by a chain AND studs on it! OMG this is the perfect purse for me. So I decided to do a mani to match my purse so I could get off the Texture week in style!
Here's my new purse!
I think I did a spot on job with the replication!
These studs are just so awesome!
Talk about texture!
How about pointy for a texture???!!
I used OPI Atomic Orange, Sinful Colors Wisp and Zoya Robin for my polish
The studs I found on ebay
I've got a few coats of Seche Vite on to keep these babies in place!
What do you think? How'd I do? Don't you just love my new purse??? Look at those bedroom eye on The King!
Okay so I've thrown down the gauntlet! Let's pop over to see what my friends have come up with for Textured Week!

A little Spring in your step!
Hi Everyone!! Happy Friday!
We had a glorious day today, nice and sunny and even a little on the warm side. I decided to haul out one of my new Elevations to mark the occasion.
Vinson is a lovely lilac holo that's just perfect for this time of year
I love that it has an almost metallic look to it beneath the holo
I did a little stamping for the accent nail because I just couldn't cover uup all these beautiful holo!
Glurg!!!! So lovely!
I'm looking forward to wearing this lovely beauty a lot this Spring!
I don't have any big plans for the weekend. I'm planning on hanging low, doing some reading and I've just started watching the Game Of Thrones.
Thanks for stopping by! I hope you all have a fantastic weekend!

A little more "leadlight" in your life!
Hi Everyone! Happy Monday! Looks like we might have a cloudy day today so I decided to brighten it up a bit with another "leadlight" mani. This time I went for something cute, which is funny because I don't really "do" cute. This was super easy to do and this time I used 3 colors from Color Club's Take Wing collection
The leadlight technique simply involved filling it or painted over a stamped design. I stamped with black over a white base for this one.
I stamped using CiCi & SiSi 07 and filled in with Color Club Sky High, Daisy Does, and Wing Fling
This is the 2nd time I've tried the technique and each time I've done it, it was very easy to do.
We might hit the 60's sometime this week so I think it might finally be time to set aside all the dark Winter colors and bring up some fun bright and pastel colors!
Thanks for stopping by!! I hope you all have a fantastic day!!

Sunday Challenge--Pastels!
Hi Everyone!! Happy weekend! The sun is finally out here and we've had two very nice days to our weekend. Yesterday I spent some time with my little sister and our grandnephew Sean. We took him to a kids event they had and watched him run around and play like crazy and then I treated everyone to ice cream. It was really nice to spend my Saturday not working for a change!
Today I'm working on some Springish cleaning. I cleaned out our hallway closet and tossed out a bunch of stuff I never use or haven't used for a long time. I also tossed out old makeup and reorganized my current makeup stash. And in the process of cleaning out the closet I found a brand new never used bottle of OPI The Lifeguard Makes Me Blush. Now how's that for perfect! It's a sweet summer pink too so it will go to good use for sure.
I also cleaned the bathroom, scrubbed the bathroom floor and cleaned the windows in the living room today and all of that was done before 9 am! So that means I get to spend a relaxing rest of my day reading and doing my nails!
I'm also reorganizing nail plates today because I got the 2nd Wistonia set in the mail yesterday. So much fun for a Sunday LOL!
Today's challenge for Adventures In Stamping is pastels. I'm not really a pastel person or should I say I wasn't. It seems like suddenly I'm in pastels because I got a few of the pastel Kiko Cupcakes and I really like this pastel look I did for today's challenge.
I hauled out some of my Sinfuls from their Sugar Crush line last year and did a saran wrap smoosh method with Orange Cream, Cotton Candy, Sweet Nothing and Sweet Tooth. I stamped with a plate from new Wistonia set--W204
I'm not sure why I'm so late on these Wistonia plates! I got the 2nd set and really like them so I'm sure I'll go back and pick up the first set as well
I must admit that today was the first time I felt my smoosh saran wrap method was successful too!
The blue Sweet Tooth is probably really too dark to be called a pastel but Spring is SO hard to transition to! How do we go from dark vampy Fall and Winter colors to pastels in the Spring?! It seems crazy to me!
This is as pastel as I'm going to get!
I hope you all are having a great weekend! Thanks for stopping by!

It's great to have friends!
Hi Everyone! A couple weeks ago I went over to my friend Emily's house to hang out and we did tons of fun mani's. I love getting together with my nail friends to try out new things and just spend quality time with someone who doesn't think owning a million nail polishes and a million nail image plates is a bad thing.
I met Emily through the very blog! She discovered we lived in the same city so she messaged me and the rest is history! I love hanging out with her. We both love nail polish and nail art, we both love makeup AND Emily plays the piano for me whenever I'm over there. It's just so much fun.
We want to try the "leadlight" technique which is something Julia from Messy Mansion came up with. She actually has made some polishes in her leadlight line that are designed to be layered or applied OVER stamping instead of doing the long, drawn out decal method. Currently we aren't able to get the leadlight polishes in the states but Messy Mansion is working on that. That ding dang OZ not allowing nail polish in or out of the country ARG. Good thing they have kangaroos down there and Alex O'Loughlin and wombats, and koala's otherwise I'd really not like them much! OH and of course good thing they have Messy Mansion down there LOL!
Emily and I both tried out the "leadlight" technique using some of the old Revlon Fizzes. They are much to sheer to wear on their own really but they make a great topper and they are perfect for the "leadlight" technique which is layering over stamping by the use of nail art brush or dotting tool. We both used a dotting tool.
First up mine!
I chose to stamp with EDM05 and then layered red, orange and yellow--Revon Watermelon Fizz, Orange Fizz and Pineapple Fizz over the flowers
I made sure to start with a light neutral base before stamping over it--I chose My Vampire Is Buff.
Here's Emily's stamping!
Roses! I love them. I want to try this image of hers next time we hang out. Having a polish buddy is so great because you can share! Which means really you have TWICE as much polish! Woot!
What do you think? Do you like this technique? I think it's pretty cool. As most of you know I am not a jelly fan at all because they are just so sheer, but now a world is opened up for me! Jellies, especially those with some sparkle are great for this technique.
As soon as the leadlight polishes are available in the US, I'm going to be all over them though!
Thanks for stopping by!! Happy Friday! I hope you all have a fabulous weekend!

Light It Up Blue!
Hi Everyone! On April 2nd the world joins together to raise awareness for Autism. Nail Polish Addicts everywhere put on blue polish, whip up some nail art and show their support on this day. Autism is still something we haven't figured out how to "cure" or to prevent from happening. There is an entire range for those affected with autism from high functioning to severe impairments. It does not discriminate against race or gender and as always with disorders it affects more than the person diagnosed with autism, it affects the friends, families and even coworkers of those of who have been diagnosed with autism.
Many of us take for gradient our lives each day. Most of us don't have trouble getting up in the morning and getting ready for work or school without help from someone else. We know how to talk, we know how to speak, we understand the mechanics of everyday life. But not all of us in the world have this luxury.
You might already be affected by Autism and have someone in your family who must live with this every day. You might not be affected by it at all and know about it by only what you see in television or read in the paper. No matter how it does or does not affect you, I hope you take some time today to think about and recognize the people who must live with it.
I'm wearing both blue and white today--because white represents hope, and there is always hope someday no one will have to live with this disorder

Invasion of the body snatchers--someone look for the pod!
Hi Everyone! Happy April Fools! Lots of pretty silly things going on today in a few of the blogs I've seen this morning but definitely not one here. I think my body has been snatched and that's no joke! Suddenly I am liking pastels AND non sparkly textured polish! What the french?! I'm totally blaming my friend Michelle on my recent love of non sparkle textures thanks to her sending me a few bottles of the new Kiko Cupcakes. These babies are pastel AND textured. They are pretty cool, full of tiny little confetti sprinkles.
I decided to pair one up with a recent purchase from Elevation--the super lovely Twinkle In A Yeti's eye and I just love how this turned out!
Yeti is a super lovely teal blue with a pink almost fuchsia shimmer, just lovely!
It's a great color for Spring and Summer!
I paired him with the lovely Kiko 655 a light blue with confetti sprinkles. Super love this polish!
And to give it a little stamping flare I hauled out my Nail Craze NC01 and did some dandelion stamping!
Pretty cute if I do say so myself!
I hope you all have a great day today and that no one gets sucked in to that omg is this for real or is this just an April Fool's joke!
