Lick it up! I want to lick it up!

Hi Readers!  Even if you don't like KISS I think everyone knows and likes that song lol!  Today's mani has nothing at all to do with KISS but when I look at my mani this song just plays through my head!!!!! OMG I have the most DE-LISH water marble to show you today!  I've been wanting to try the "swirl" method for awhile and my new Zoyas gave me some inspiration to do just that!  For this marble I used 3 cremes from the Beach collection Lara, Arizona, and Wednesday.  Looking at them together they reminded me of rainbow sherbet!
How cool is this one Readers????

I ran to Sally's the morning after I had done this mani--why I'm doing awesome water marbles at midnight is anybodies guess lol--and they gals there loved it.  They even had customers checking it out!!  I got a ton of compliments on this one and people just don't believe you when you tell them you did it yourself!
These are fantastic colors together!
Did anyone else call it SherBERT when they were young????
I could resist trying this one! My friend Carls from Lacquered Lover is always doing these cool dual bottle shots with her mani's.  She can line hers up perfectly but me not so much lol!  We've named her signature look "The Carly"
What did you think of this water marble Readers?  Are you fan of this water marble look or do you like the traditional "flower" marble better?  I'm loving this one and want to try it out with some different colors.

Summer Challenge--Pink and Blue

Hi Readers!  Now don't lie but tell me what's the first thing you think of when you see or hear pink and blue? For me it's babies.  Yep babies.  I see or pink and blue and BAM my mind goes to babies.  So with the challenge today being pink and blue I really wanted to think outside the box.  I'm a huge blue fan but pink not so much.  I'd just done and tape mani so I said hmmmm what haven't you done in a while.  NEEDLE MARBLE!  Yep needle marble it is Readers with pink and blue
This one's pretty easy and straight forward.  I used a base of OPI Alpine White then used Cult Nails Time Traveler and Jesse's Girl Breathless for the needle marbling
I actually love how the ring finger turned out best BUT I actually re-did it lol!  I think I like it better using small dots instead of large ones like I did with the other fingers
Have you needle marbled yet Readers?  I was doing this before I got into stamping!  So easy and it looks really cool.  The key is wet polish, do one finger at a time AND don't use fast drying polishes!
I think this could look really cool using red, white and blue for the upcoming 4th of July.  We'll see if I give it a whirl!

Summer Challenge--Queen's Diamond Jubilee

Hi Readers!  Today I'm on board with another mani for the Summer Challenge.  Today's selection is the Queen's Diamond Jubilee.  I was really happy to do this one because to me royalty just screams purple SO I got to use my Vicious from Cult Nails for the first time!
As you can see I had a bit of a calamity and my pinkie has become almost a stump :(  We'll see if I file the rest down or try to live with them being uneven lol!
Look how short he is!!!! Yikes!
Despite old Stumpy this is really a pretty lovely mani!
I used plates BM08 and BM09 for the small crowns and the diamonds.  The larger crown is from plate RA119 and stamped using Sally Hansen Silver Sweep. I added some clear and colored rhinestones for accent lol!

 Being an American I don't have a fondness for Britain's Royal family the way my friends in the UK do but what I can say is kudos to Queen Elizabeth for sitting on her thrown for 60 years!  Wow what an amazing feat!

Monkey See, Monkey Do Monday Lucy's Stash!

Hi Readers!  I feel I've been very blessed in the "nail" world as I've been lucky enough to meet my blogger and you tube idols!  When I first got into stamping I would devour all the posts from blogs such as Rebecca Likes Nails, Colores de Carol, Let Them Have Polish and You Tube Channel Soguesswhat11 it wasn't too long before I actually got meet all these ladies via facebook and discover the wonderful person behind the blog.  This has happened to me with several bloggers and I feel so blessed.  Recently I got to meet my latest blogging crush, Lucie, from Lucy's Stash.  Thanks
to the loveliness that is Pinterest I discovered Lucy's Stash and the zillion way cool mani's there.  Today I have chosen a mani of her's that I saw a little bit ago and the instant I saw it I said, "OMG I have to do this one!"
Talk about smooth and classy to me this mani says it all!
I know it looks hard but thanks to striping tape it really isn't!
Lucie used the Spa Rituals for her mani but I have zero Spa Rituals so I had to think quick on my feet! Zoya Pasha for the base, Orly Buried Alive is the brown, OPI Take The Stage is the orange and OPI Rising Star is the gold.  I think it turned out great!
My friend Dema and I did a little swap a bit ago and she set this ring with my polish! OMG it looks great with this mani!
I really want to haul this mani out again in the Fall--these are perfect Fall colors!

Happy Birthday Beth!!

Hi Readers!  Today is my friend Debbie's daughter, Beth's, birthday!  A few of us are getting together and making a special mani just for her.  A few days ago I asked Debbie what Beth's favorite color was and she got this response, "blood red".  It was news to Debbie LOL!  Well I am all about the vampy reds so I was elated to hear this is a color she likes!  I decided to go a nice vampy red gradient but switched it up a bit!  I went with a lovely blood red jelly, a red linear holo and a red scattered holo!  
How delicious is this???
 I used La Femme Crepulsco, Hits Ares, and Ozotic 621 to create the gradient
I did manage to snag one pic outside in the sun
To make this more of a celebration mani for Beth I stamped on it!
I used the lovely China Glaze TTYL for stamping
I love the cute little design from BM20
Happy Birthday dear sweet Beth!!! I hope you have a fantastic birthday!

Group Collaboration British Day!

Hi Readers!
Today is another group collaboration in honor of the upcoming Queen's Diamond Jubilee.  Being an American I have no flipping idea what any of this means other than we are all going to wear nail polishes from the UK!  I decided on one of my favorite Butter London's--Wallis.  She's quite lovely BUT you can wow her up too and I did just that with franken Ragnelle which you may remember is a dupe for Butter London's Tart With A Heart.  And because I'm me you know I didn't stop there lol!
Yep I stamped using BM201!  I really love this mani!!!!
The delicate glitters in Ragnelle just gave Wallis an added boost to her already glorious glory lol!
Wallis is what I like to call a pretty "ugly" color.  I have a few of these and I just love them!
I loved this mani SO much I decided to make a matching ring!
Isn't it lovely???!!
Okay one more for the road!

Finally made the Summer Challenge!

Hi Readers!  I've finally made a mani for the Summer Challenge going on over at Purple Crumpet Fairy on Facebook.  Everyone else has an entire week if not more on me lol.  Today's entry is for swimming pool.  Well let me tell you Readers I have a mani that will blow your swim trunks right off (OMG I hope Alex O'Loughlin is reading this right now because those are some trunks I'd definitely love to see floating on top of the water!)  My nail polish friend Julia posted this awesome Flickr shot of a gradiented magnetic.  Yes you heard me GRADIENT MAGNETIC!  When I saw it I thought omg I HAVE to do that!  I love magnetics.  I decided on trying a few of my Nabi blue's together and here's what I came up with!
I chose a dark navy blue, a medium royal blue and then and aqua.  I am so happy with how this turned out!
I think the magnetic stripes in it definitely look wavy and therefore YES swimming poolish! Woot!
Here's a ring I wouldn't wear in the pool with this mani but it looks cool just the same!  It's my new hinged "cage" ring
I wanted to be able to wear it on my index finger but it's too small despite being labeled a size 7 lol!
Before I tell you how I did this fab mani I want to give kudos to the gal who came up with the idea first!

 Now how did I do mine?  It was actually very simple.  I did a gradient using 3 of my blue Nabi's.  The darkest blue is labeled Navy Blue, the medium blue has no label lol but it's a medium royal blue and the light one is labeled Sky Blue but to me it's an aqua.  Here's a pic of the colors I used and how the sponge looked
I went darkest to lightest from cuticles to tips.  I did a couple coats of gradient to give me a nice build up.  Then one at a time I applied a clear topcoat--don't use a fast drying one--and as soon as the clear went on I used the magnet.  GENIUS!  The topcoat rewets your magnet polish making it available to magnetize!

 Seriously how cool is this??? So cool it's definitely a swimming pool cool mani!!!!

 Have you thought about trying a magnetic gradient?? I say GO FOR IT!
