Monkey See Monkey Do--Pointless Cafe!

Hi Everyone!  I'm finally back with a long over do Monkey See Monkey Do Monday post!  For this one I copied my fab friend Shiela over at The Pointless Cafe.  She did this AHmazing water marble the other day using pink holo, brown and white.  Pink and brown looks so freaking good together.  The minute I saw her post pics of this baby I wanted to copy it!  The only snafu I had with mine is OPI DS Divine does not want to spread in a marble lol!

For this marble I used a base of OPI Get In The Espresso Lane and then I marbled with white, DS Divine and clear.

Here's lefty

Doesn't the thumb look the coolest???!!!!!

Here's righty

I like it when my right hand looks as good as my left.  That's usually something that happens with water marbling lol!

I like this one but really it's not as great as Sheila's!  Make sure you check her's out here!

Let's see what my other MSMD gals have done!

Devil Horns!!

Hey everyone!  I hope your weekend is going better than mine!  I was in bed for a full 48 hours from Friday night until about 8am this morning.  OMG I do not know what was up with me but I was thoroughly exhausted.  Thankfully I'm up, feeling better, and did my nails for the Sunday Stamping Challenge.  Today's theme in the Facebook Group AIS (Adventures In Stamping) is Metallic Madness.  All I could think of at first was metal music lol!  The cameraman listens to some stuff that is HORRID in my opinion.  Not really wanting to something Ozzy Osbourneish I decided on a lovely gradient and stamping.  I think it was the right decision LOL!

This is a gradient of Wet n Wild Black Creme and China Glaze Joy and then stamped with Peripera 044 which is a fabulous lilac metallic

I used an image from my Cheeky XL B plate.  I do really love the Cheeky XL's!

I'm pretty sure I mentioned earlier how glad I am it's Fall and time for some nice dark colors

I plan on trying trying to do some sort of Fall inspired sponging.  The leaves around here are SO gorgeous this time of year.  I really hope I can pull it off

Today is Packer football day around here!  We're have chili and "cowboy crack" dip which is pork sausage, cream cheese, corn and rotel tomatoes in meltedy goodness with fritos!  After being sick a couple of days I hope I can eat all this!

Hope you all have a great day!

How do you blue?!

Hi Everyone!  Thank goodness the weekend is here!  I don't know about anyone else but I am absolutely exhausted.  I'm not really sure what it is, if it's just the cold fall weather--yep are in the low 50's today, or if I'm getting sick but I was in bed by 7pm last night!  Of course I wasn't sleeping, I was reading but still I'm willing to bet my eyes closed by 8pm LOL!

If you remember last week the Sunday challenge for AIS was using a tip image.  Well one of the gals in the group, Helen, did the coolest design using BM219. I knew I just HAD to copy it!

When Helen did hers she used gold, black and red, but I wanted mine to match the shirt I was wearing!

A LONG time ago and I mean looooooooooong the wonderful Sheila of The Pointless Cafe sent me Pure Ice's French Kiss, which really is the most gorgeous blue creme on the planet I think!  You'd think I would have used before now for crying out loud!

I'm really glad we did the whole "use a tip image" thing for a challenge.  It's opened up a world of possibilities for new mani's!

You'll have to check out Sunday's Metallic Madness to see what I come up with for this week's challenge!

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope you all have a great weekend!

Meow!

Hi Everyone!  Things are moving right along in the new and so far easy Crumpet's Nail Tarts Halloween Challenge.  Now mind you this is only the 2nd theme in the challenge but still so far so good lol!  Today's theme is black cat.  Poor black cats getting such a bad rap.  I just don't know what all the hype is about them.  They aren't scary and they aren't mean--and unfortunately, they can't talk.  They do look cool though!

I'm not really big on freehand and the reason is--it's hard!  I'm really happy with how these turned out though!  My first attempt was having yellow eyes which you could see in real life but when I snapped pics of it, you couldn't see the yellow! Weird!  So then I went with the green and the camera man said it looked lizardy!  YIKES!  I don't care I'm sticking with em lol!
I'm having dinner tonight with my mom--I wonder what she'll say when she sees them lol!

I've seen pictures of this mani for a couple years now all over the internet during this time of year--not this one specifically but several like it in various variations--I have no idea who the original creator of it is--if it's you or you know please let me know so I can credit them!

Let's see what's up next in the challenge!
Zombies?!? Yikes this is going to be a problem I think!

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope you all have a fantastic day!!

How to train your mani!

Hi Everyone!  We had a pretty difficult challenge in AIS on Sunday.  It was the dreaded--using a tip image.  I don't know about you but none of those tips fit on my tips AND I have longish nails.  There were A LOT of fantastic mani's done in this challenge on Sunday.  I was really blown away by everyone's creativity.  I decided to go with my favorite tip image BM217.  I love this image SO much I can't understand why someone hasn't made a full image of it for crying out loud!
I decided to go with my latest faves--the China Glaze Bohemians for it
I can't say it enough I LOVE the Bo's over black!
I was going to pass on these babies too!  I'm SO glad I didn't!

Here's a shot in the shade--seriously just as cool!

I know this looks a little complex using a tip image to cover your whole nail but really it's not!  There are definitely a lot of tip images I haven't used yet though and after seeing pics from the talented group of gals in the Facebook Group Adventures In Stamping I'm going to make an effort to do more stamping with them!

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope you all have a fantastic day!!!

Happy October!

Hi Everyone!  Welcome to October.  There are lots of things going on in October but the biggie is Halloween month!  And guess what?! After grumbling about the 31 Day Challenge and how harrowing it was, I'm back in another month long challenge LOL!  This one isn't so bad though, it's not daily AND I'll be able to do some MSMD mani's during this challenge.

The challenge is a fun one, it was thought up by some of the gals in Crumpet's Nail Tarts.  This is an open group on facebook so if you want in please stop by! Here's the link!  http://www.facebook.com/groups/purplecrumpetfairy/

Here's the banner listing all the challenges and their days

First up is Trick or Treat!  I don't know why but I decided to combine two things I'm not a huge fan of--candy corn and Hello Kitty LOL!

Many of my friends call me the gradient queen but I have to tell you this is by far the ugliest gradient I've ever done lol!  White and orange just do not belong together in a gradient.  EVER.

I don't get the Hello Kitty obsession.  I have a few friends who love her though.  She's cute but I guess I'd rather be obsessed with Elvis LOL!

I'm not a fan of candy corn at all.  When I was a kid I used to give away all the candy corn I collected Trick or Treating LOL!  Give me a reeses peanut butter cup over some ding dang candy corn thank you very much.

Looks like Tuesday and Thursday will be the day for some Halloween fun this month.  I hope you stop by to see how I'm doing!

Thanks for stopping!  Have a great day!

Two for the price of one part 1

OMG I hope everyone will bear with me because I'm doing something today I really dislike!  I'm posting more than once!  Usually this drives me bonkers BUT I have to see this ding dang 31 Day Challenge through to the bitter freaking end.  Day 31 is to recreate a mani--it's up in the air whether it's recreating a mani you love or one you loved from challenge.  Well for me my mani recreation happened on day freaking 1.  Yep Kayla Shevonne knocked it out of the ballpark for me with her sexy fishnet ruffian.

Here's my interpretation!

I didn't have any of the colors Kayla used so I pulled out stuff I had that was close.
I had some trouble with "smooshing" on my ring finger--Ruffians can be a bit thick somethings and stamping on them can be tricky

Black and red together are so sexy though.  Great idea from Kayla!

I have a love/hate relationship with Kayla. She is fantastic at artwork and jealousy often rears it's ugly head with me lol!  Thankfully we're friends and she knows all my teasing is in good fun!

Kayla posted this mani on day one of the challenge.  I've been chomping at the bit ALL month long to recreate it lol!  Check hers out here

Thanks for sticking with me these 31 days.  This month should be fun because it's October and some fun can be had with Halloween mani's!
