Hi Readers! I'm in a small group of "stamping" girls and our challenge for today was green. I decided to go green all the way in both base color and stamping. Awhile ago I received this "cast off" polish from someone who got it in a swap and didn't like it. I guess it really is true one man's junk really is another man's treasure! After I saw this mani over here I decided to try to work it into a mani and I'm pleased with my final outcome.
The cast off color is Misslyn Black Petrol. The name is rather strange to me because it's definitely not black but instead a dark smoky teal with subtle shimmer. I wanted to try using my Missha HGR01 to stamp with and YES it works great for stamping!
Here is a picture of the two polishes together. I'm sorry I didn't turn the Misslyn better but I was really trying to capture the beauty of the Missha duochrome
Here are a couple of pics of the Misslyn Black Petrol before I stamped on it.
Here is it with flash
and without flash
I stamped the Missha HGR01 using BM210
Because HGR01 is a duochrome I tried to get some shots of it in the shade to showcase the green to blue, but it was very difficult.
I'm really happy with how this turned out! We don't have a lot of green here right now in Wisconsin--no snow yet but a lot of brown lol!
Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day!
Oh, I love this! It's super pretty=)
ReplyDeleteLove it!! Such a pretty design.
ReplyDeletethe color of the polish looks different on your nails. it looks more green in the bottle, am I right?
ReplyDeleteI love this stamp!!! And that Missha is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteFantastic mani. :)
ReplyDeleteEsra the Missha is a really nice duochrome of green to blue--I think because I stamped over the dark teal polish it changed it up a bit! I plan on doing a mani with just the Missha first and we'll have to see how looks on it's own but I'm guessing it's going to be gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteI love this combination! And I bet that if that person who gave you these polishes sees this she'll regret ever giving them away ;)
ReplyDeleteClaudia the Misslyn was the cast off, I bought the Missha on ebay--one of the best ebay purchases EVAH!
