Hi Everyone! Well I think we had Spring and possibly Summer and we're moving back into Winter. UG! I put away all my sweaters but here I am this morning digging around trying to find something warm. Yesterday I had to have my little space heater on at work AND put my feet in the heated massager I have. What in the word is going on? This is the middle of May and we still have the heat on! And then I have dear friends in California who are being threatened daily with wildfires! Opposite ends of the spectrum. And now that I think about it, I really shouldn't complain about some cold weather when peoples homes are being burned :(
Okay enough of that, time to move on to today's decade. I chose the 80's because who doesn't want to choose the 80's with all the fun neon we had???
The 80's decade started off the technology we have today. It was a decade of great social and economic change. Ronald Reagan became our President in 1980 and worked hard to spread the end of communism. We addressed drug abuse in the 80's and had many campaigns for the war against drugs with the Just Say No Campaign. Hair bands!!! We had glorious, glorious hair bands through the 80's. My faves were Def Leppard and Winger. I think for sure the one thing we had in the 80's that no one who lived in the decade will ever forget is the overabundance of neon!
That being said here is my mani for today's 80's theme!
I really only got one good pic of this mani as I did it at night and it's neon LOL! If you don't have sun you have to use shade which is a bummer
I tried to brighten it up with a white paper towel--lame!
I just did a basic neon gradient with pink, orange and yellow and then did some stamping with CiCi & SiSi
It's pretty fun! I bet it will be distracting at work today!
Let's pop over and check out what everyone has put together for Decades!

The Digit-al Dozen Does Decades--The 20's!
Hi Everyone! Happy Hump Day! Middle of the week means the week is half over woot! I guess I'm a little late to the party today too as several of my comrades have already done this decade but I'm throwing my hat into the ring as well for the 20's!
The 20's gave us Babe Ruth and same great baseball.
Prohibition lasted the entire decade!
The 20's was a decade with prosperity for the US
Jazz was oh so popular and Art Deco peaked
Women wore knee length skirts, and wore their hair bobbed and styled in the "marcel wave" and they were known as flappers!
Today my mani is recreated from a picture I found while Googling (not popular in the 20's LOL!)
Here's the pic
And here's my interpretation
I think I did pretty good!
Placing the silver hex glitters by hand for the hat was a little time consuming! Good thing I only did 3 rows LOL!
Here's a pic with the mani and my inspiration pic
I think it turned out pretty darn good!
Let's go visit the rest of the gang and see what's up for Decades today!

The Digit-al Dozen Does Decades--the 60's!
Hi Everyone! Wow if you're in the Midwest I hope you are all above ground and dry! Holy cow did we ever get some torrential rain last night. I was out with friends until pretty late and driving home felt more like motor boating home than it did driving! But it was SO worth it! I love getting together with my nail polish friends even if last night was all about stuffing our faces with yummy food and just talking about nails instead of doing nails LOL!
So how about that first day yesterday?! OMG what another great theme for us! I love being in a group of women who are very diverse, who have different talents for nail art, and who come up with some fan-freaking-tastic ideas!
Today I decided to show case my birth decade and do the 60's. During the 60's we saw a lot of the rigidity in our culture dissipate. We saw the Vietnam war reek havoc on our Nation and for the first time since the Civil War we saw Americans strike out against Americans because of it. John F Kennedy rose to great fame--an Irish Catholic President who was then savagely assassinated right in front of his wife. Not only did we witness the assassination of a president, Malcom X, Martin Luther King, Jr and Bobby Kennedy would all be assassinated in the 60's decade.
It was truly a time of unrest and the battle cry of the 60's became Make Love Not War. In a decade of free love war had never been more of out place. Today I'm showcasing my Make Love Not War mani
I had some help with this one from the lovely No More War from Rescue Beauty Lounge
I am a sucker for those "ugly" pretty colors!
I think Tie Dye and Camouflage represent the 60's quite well today what do you think?
Let's stop by and check out what decade everyone else had in mind for today!

The Digit-al Dozen Does Decades--The 90's!
Hi Everyone!! Happy Monday! Today is the start of fabulous week! The Digit-al Dozen is taking on Decades this week. I'm starting off the week with the 90's. Technology in the 90's helped paved the way for technology today. And without it computers, blogging, facebook, smart phones and social media wouldn't be what it is today.
Technology in the 90's gave us the introduction of The World Wide Wide and HTML.
Microsoft introduced Windows 95 as well as Windows 98 and both were amazing!
Email really takes off and Microsoft acquires hotmail.com
Web browsers are created to make surfing the web more user friendly
Digital cameras become available to consumers and become more and more affordable.
The first MP3 player is introduced
Netflix is launched and offers DVD's mailed directly to your home.
The first HDTV broadcast occurs
DVRs are released for the first time.
All of these great things happened in the 90's and by the looks of things they keep getting better and better.
In homage to the great 90's I'm proudly displaying my 90's mani!
I had some help from The Nail Junkie's Apple to create this awesome circuit board
I used Bundle Monster BM415 and just added some gold to make this look totally realistic
We've definitely come a long way and we are able to fit more and more into this like cameras, computers and phones--all thanks to the fabulous 90's!

Out of the Shadowlands into the sun
Hi Everyone! Happy weekend! Sorry I went MIA there for a bit. I have no excuse really other than I just wasn't "feeling" it. I hate times like that! Man it's so hard to pull yourself up sometimes. I have a couple of dear friends going through really rough times. I have a very good friend who lost one of her pets and another one going to lose one of hers. Yet the sun is shining today. Just a sign for all of us to see and realize another day will come.
Spring has finally sprung here too! Green buds on the trees, days where the windows are open and fresh air filters in. The cats and chins are totally loving it. I like to see the earth like this it makes me happy!
I had to open my franken drawer the other day and though why the heck did I make all these polishes if I'm not wearing them? So I hauled out a few I haven't worn and decided to do something about it.
Looking at this now I'm thinking wow I should have waited with this mani and used it for the release of Godzilla! LOL!
I've named all my frankens after some of my favorite books and the Masters of Shadowlands series by Cerise Sinclair are some of my all time favorites.
I stamped using FUN 7
I love this spotted look design it can be used in so many ways!
I hope everyone has a great weekend planned, whether it's relaxing by staying in or going out and having some fun!
Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day!

If my head wasn't screwed on, I'd be screwed!
Hi Everyone! Happy Monday! I started out my day thinking today was the start of a Digit-al Dozen week and could not figure out why for the life of me my link code wasn't working. Come to find out it's not until NEXT week. OIY! Definitely not the way to start out a Monday! So I had to do some scrambling so I would have stuff to post this week LOL!. Thankfully owning 8 million and 67 polishes helps you out in a pinch!
I grabbed something I had out which was Sinful Colors Candy Coated a very lovely lavender and decided to holo it up a bit with a holo topcoat I made. And then I just stamped over it with FUN 5 plate and BAM quick and easy but really pretty!
I don't wear holo's very often. I always love them when I have them on though
Holo topcoats tend to give a silvery look to a color because of the spectra flair powder but in this case it adds to the purple of Candy Coated instead of taking away from it.
I really like this image on the FUN 5 plate too, that plate has so many cool things on it!
I hope everyone else fared a little better than I did today--and your day started out as it should have and not with you thinking it was next week.
Thanks for stopping by!!! I hope you all have a fantastic day!

It's not Pointless Cafe to extend your mani!
Hi Everyone!!! Happy Friday!!! Today I am showcasing something I've learned from the lovely and fabulous Sheila of Pointless Cafe. She often does extend a mani's and I always think "wow that is such a great idea!" Most of you I don't really wear just nail polish as I love to stamp over my nails, but sometimes when I don't have time I'll just toss on a glitter topper over a gradient or color and go merrily on my way. Two nights ago was one of those nights. I did and orange and pink gradient and topped it with the lovely Plumeria from Elevation Polish. This is how it looked all day yesterday
I thought it was cute and I got a lot of compliments on it. Many of my coworkers thought I put a bunch of dots on my nails! AS IF! That's what the awesome Elevation Plumeria is for LOL!
Jump ahead to the next night when I got home even later than the night before and cringed at the thought of removing glitter no matter how lovely.
Instead of taking it off I decided to try to stamp over it. I knew I was going to need a reverse image of some sort so I poured through my plates aka looked at the ones closest to me on the table and it was my Messy Mansions and BAM! A star was born!
I love how this turned out! Stamping over the Plumeria was a great idea
And as you can see Plumeria looks a lot like little dots!
To be honest at first I thought the black would over power this mani, but I don't think it did at all! This is the fantastic MM20
It's still quite colorful!
In fact after I had done this it really reminded me of a kick ass mani I had seen the fab Wacky Laki do with a Messy Mansion plate awhile ago. Check hers out HERE and let me know what you think?! Different but sort of the same!
I actually love reverse image stamping and wish there were more plates with reverse images. I would actually love to have an entire plate full of just reverse images!
I'm really excited to wear this to work today and see what everyone thinks. I wonder if they'll realize it's the same polish just with stamping over it? What do you think do you like the before or after better?
Anyone got any great plans for the weekend? I'm hoping to finish up season 3 of Game Of Thrones and possibly get to the new Spiderman movie. Saturday it's suppose to rain and be cruddy but not on Sunday.
Thanks for stopping by!! I hope you all have a fantastic day!
