Hi Readers! The theme for day 8 in the 31 Day Challenge is metallic nails. I had to sort of cheat a bit with this one so I can kill two birds with one stone LOL! I'm committed to this 31 day challenge but that sort of leaves poor Sunday Challenge's in AIS out in the cold for a month. Today I decided to do a metallic gradient and I'm also going to use it for the Sunday Challenge! Yes it's so sneaky I know but a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do. First up is my metallic gradient. I hauled out some Kleancolor metallics for this--green and aqua
The two colors look great together don't they?
I really love the Kleancolor metallics to stamp with but look how great they are for just a basecoat!
And here's my cheating pic! The theme for Sunday is toxic so I simply added OPI Black Spotted over the top for a truly toxic looking spill!
Tomorrow's theme in the 31 Day Challenge is near and dear to my heart. Let's see what it is shall we?
Rainbow nails! Tomorrow is one month since my father passed away and I felt he came to me as a rainbow the day after he died--so from now on they will forever remind me of him. Check back tomorrow to see what I come up with for the challenge!
Thanks for stopping by! I hope you all have a fantastic day!

Black and White and Blech!
Hi Readers! I don't know if I mentioned that I'm working 6am until 4:30pm to make up for being off on Labor Day. Ummmm despite the fact just a couple of years ago I used to work three thirteen and half hour days, working 10 hours days is freaking killing me! I haven't even felt like doing my nails at all this week! Today's 31 Day Challenge is black and white and I had a zillion good intentions and really just didn't follow through on them! URG! I came up with this design at the last minute as I give myself an until 9:30pm time limit to get to bed LOL! I HAVE to read before bed so if I'm in by 9:30 that gives me an hour or two to read before being up at 4:30am.
Short and sweet this is black and white with the lace image from Konad M71
It's not bad but it certainly isn't great. It's definitely not as cool as the wicked awesome black and white water marble I wanted to do. Hopefully that sucker will show up later on in the challenge!
It's kind of sloppy and for that I do apologize but I'm feeling so sloppy myself these days :(
This is a rough weekend for me and my family. My beautiful sister Lisa would have been 48 today, Saturday my parents would have been married for 50 years and Sunday my father will be gone for a month. I'm worried about my mom who will be grieving the loss of her daughter on what would have been her birthday, without my dad for the first time. I'm especially sad she and my dad didn't make it to 50 years of wedded bliss--they were so darn close! Do me a favor Readers, if you're married tell your spouse how much you love them. If you're a sister call your sister or sisters and tell them how much you love them. Sometimes we forget how fleeting life can be.
Next up for the 31 Day Challenge is
Metallic Nails! Okay now THIS mani should be a good one!
Thanks for stopping by! I hope you all have a fantastic weekend!

One man's violet is another man's purple is another man's maroon???
Hi Readers! First of all whew! I made it just in the nick of time for Day 6 in the 31 Day Challenge! We had some huge storms here yesterday and power was out for a long a$$ time! It was restored today at 1pm while I was at work. It went out at about 4pm yesterday so almost a full day without it. Let me tell you Readers taking a shower in pitch black house with no power is not fun. My hair looks beyond wretched today yet all my friends kept telling me it looked good LOL! God bless true friends!
For my "violet" I picked a purple which some people flat out call maroonish lol! All that matters to me is where these colors are stored in my melmer and they are stored in my purple drawer! For today's mani I hauled out an untried--OPI Black Tie Optional. Now this is a "supposed" duochrome but really it's only duochrome in the bottle. If it looked like this on the nail I would be in heaven but alas it does not. It's still ding dang gorgeous though!
You can sort of see the inkling of a duochrome down at the bottom of the bottle in this shot
But this gold never gets to your nails. I paired my Black Tie Optional in a Ruffian with We'll Always Have Paris Suede which I think you all know I love
I wasn't sure how I felt about a matte and a glossy Ruffian but I had seen Kayla do one for her red so I decided to go for it and stamp over it using China Glaze Joy which is a dark purple metallic polish
I used one of my favorite images from the second Bundle Monster set BM201 for the stamping
When you think of purple what do you think of Readers? Does this dark maroon/burgundy fill your bill or do you need a blueish purple?
Here's a picture of the polishes I used. OPI Black Tie Optional and We'll Always Have Paris suede and China Glaze Joy
What's up for tomorrow?
Black and White! Sweet! I hope I can come up with something cool!
Thanks for stopping by! I hope you have a fantastic night!

This mani blue me away!
Hi Readers! Day 5 for the 31 Day Challenge and up today is blue! This is a design I've been wanting to do for awhile and I even asked the fab Sarah over at Chalkboard Nails if she could do one. Looks like I beat her to it! Behold my mosaic tile nails!
There's only one small problem with this mani--it looks so much better from afar lol! I stamped first using white over WetnWild Morbid and then filled in each shape with a few different blues. Man do I not know how to color within the lines Readers!
I had to go back over some of the fine lines and I just don't know how all my friends do it and I'm talking about you Sarah, Michelle and Amber! Holy crud teeny brushes and me just do not mix!
My fab friend Amber from The Polished Momma picked up a bottle of OPI DS Sapphire at her local CVS recently and I HAD to use it with this mani! I also used Hard Candy Sky and my fave blue OPI Swimsuit Nailed It. With some better practice I might be able to keep it in the lines next time!
To get my mosaic tiles look I did a basecoat of WetnWild Morbid and then stamped with White using BM208. Then I randomly filled in the shapes using either Hard Candy Sky, OPI DS Sapphire or OPI Swimsuit Nailed It.
I'd love to try this again using some green and turquoise colors. Here's a picture of the polishes I used
What's up for tomorrow in the challenge?
Ahhhh glorious violet aka purple aka my problem color woot!
Stay tuned to see what's up my sleeve lol!

A dragon by another name is still a dragon!
Hi Readers! Today is day 4 of the 31 day challenge and we're all about the green today! OMG I am starting to really love greens and slowly but surely I'm filing up my green drawer. I really didn't know what I wanted to do for today's challenge because I wanted to use Zoya Edyta as I used it just the other day and it was gorgeously amazing. BUT I thought of another green untried I have so hauled out my A England Dragon. With a name like that staring me in the face readers I had no choice other than to do a dragon mani!
This is outside in the sun as it was shining today!
I love scattered holos more than linears because let's face it, indoors linear holos suck. And where do we spend most of our time Readers? Indoors! At least with a scattered holo you get a pretty color and not a flat dull looking blob on your nails like you do a linear.
Hmmm to me this looks mermaidy lol! but turn this baby upside down and BAM instant dragon! I know! I know! I can't help it, I love, love, love anything mermaidy or dragony LOLOLOL.
I got a little help from Nails Inc Elm Park Gardens with the stamping!
Yummeh!!!
Here's a couple of pics with flash, but my camera really has a strong flash which really glares off my white skin!
The Elm Park Gardens almost looks black here!
I used Elm Park Gardens as a base and then stamped using A England's Dragon with Mash-39 for all but the accent nail. Accent is Dragon with Elm Park Gardens stamped over it using BM217
Here's a picture of the polishes I used
I totally blame Sheila from Pointless Cafe and Ashley from Ashley Is Polish Addicted for my recent love of green! These gurls are killing me!
So far so good with this challenge. Let's see what's in store for tomorrow
BLUE! I wonder if Blue will blow you away??
Thanks for stopping by! I hope you all have a fantastic day!

What a nice fellow that yellow!
Hi Readers! Day 3 of the 31 Day Challenge and we're at yellow! I don't know if I've mentioned this before or not but yellow is my favorite color. I've been told I could spell yellow as a child before red or blue. Yellow roses are my favorite flower but despite loving yellow it does not love me back lol! I have very pale skin and I don't really "do" the sun so it remains pale all the time. Yellow is not a complimentary color to our paleys lol! I don't wear yellow nail polish often for that very reason. I'm always jealous of my friend Briana of Nail A College Drop Out because with her dark skin tone she wears and rocks yellow all the freaking time! I did manage to come up with something pretty cool for the challenge today though! I stamped yellow ON yellow! Yes I did! Woot!
I really didn't know if it could be done but I thought if I used a creme on metallic it might. But then I got the brilliant idea to try a creme over a glass fleck and BAM yellow on yellow!
I hauled out my Zoya Pippa and Color Club Daisy Does It and created this cute and sunny design
Then I got to thinking how would this look matte?
Pretty unusual actually
I think I prefer the shiny version how about you?
To get this look I stamped Zoya Pippa over Color Club Daisy Does It using Mash-40. I definitely like how this turned out so will be trying more cremes over the Color Club Take Wing collection.
For all those of you in states I hope you have a happy and safe Labor Day. Thanks for stopping by!!! I hope you all have a fantastic day!

Orange you glad I didn't say Banana??
Hi Readers!!!! Day two of the 31 Day Challenge is Orange. Orange not really yellow definitely not red, just that color somewhere in the middle. I rarely wear orange polish. Not that I don't love it but you all know I tend to wear something that matches my clothes and orange is not a good color on me. Now don't get me wrong I will wear the heck out of some orange the month of October because I love Halloween stuff, but normally it's not a color I gravitate too. Burnt oranges yes, coppers yes, but orange orange not so much. So I was a bit elated to do this mani for the challenge and have it turn out! It's super cute!
I used two of the Zoya Beach and Surf polishes Arizona and Myrta. So far all of the Zoya Surf's I've used to stamp with have worked well! But look how well Arizona stamped over Myrta too!
This is just a super cute and fun design and don't these oranges look juicy??!
I used BM308 for the stamping and here's a picture Zoya Arizona and Myrta
And since he fits right in with today's color theme here's a couple of pictures of my blogging helper these days--Roscoe!
Blogging really tires him out!
Tomorrow is Labor Day here in the states so no work woot! My plans are to laze around and play with Roscoe and to read. I'm also hoping to spend some time with my sweet grand nephew. How about you Readers?
What's in store for us tomorrow for the 31 Day Challenge?
Hmmmm yellow I wonder how that's going to turn out??? Thanks for stopping by! I hope you all have a fantastic day!
