Pretty In Pahlish

Hi Everyone!  Happy Saturday!  The weekend is here! Yay!  It's been pretty cold here in Wisconsin and apparently other places in the US but today it was a nice 20 degrees so naturally I saw someone in the grocery store in shorts.  UG I just do not know what it is about Wisconsin and idiot men this time of year.  I rolled my eyes at him as he walked past--I just couldn't help myself.

I did this mani the other day for the Advanced Nail Stamping group--our flash challenge was over a blue holo base.  I snagged my untried bottle of Pahlish's Snow Over The Rhone and did some stamping with one of my new Uber Chic plates!
This is a pretty stunning polish!  A gorgeous deep sapphire blue with some silver flake glitter in it!
I didn't get a chance to go outside and get pics as I did this at 9pm and naturally today the sun isn't out
How about this cool stamping though?  So freaking easy but I just love how this turned out!  I really love these plates from Uber Chic--for me they are the perfect size in length and width.

I did snap a couple pics with flash so you can see the holo pretty a bit better
ooooooohhhhhhh aaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh!

I also snagged Pahlish's Dark Chocolate Cherries and I've been wanting to try some one stroke flowers so I see another Pretty In Pahlish mani in my future!

I hope everyone has a great weekend!  Thanks for stopping by!

Mardi Gras mani! Let the good times roll

Hi Everyone!  Happy Wednesday!  I'm a bit late with my Mardi Gras mani but I really wanted to share it because it turned out SO good!  I hauled out a few of my Darling Diva polishes to create it -- I Got Some, Green Diamond and Purple Rain and did a super cool decal with some  Born Pretty Store stamping.  All I had to do was add a mask and viola--Fat Tuesday celebration began at 9 pm last night LOL!
This is one of my favorite image from the new  Born Pretty Store XL plates and looks awesome with this Mardi Gras look don't you think?
I also just love the "diamonds" from Darling Diva--these metalure holos are my favorite kind as they just look like they glow!

We are having more super cold weather here over the next couple of days--temperatures like 30 below zero with the wind chill--yikes!  I might have to stock up on some soup!

Hope everyone is managing this Winter weather the best they can!

The Digit-al Dozen Does Patterns On Patterns

Holy cow this is SO late!  First I had my birthday that put me behind then I got sick and didn't feel like doing a thing--ug.  I'm still sick but I really hated not finishing this theme!  I did a major fail in the beginning of the week and actually contemplated posting it but I just couldn't do it.  So I sort of redeemed myself today by doing some stamping over a foil.

Truth be told foils just flat out piss me off!  I have tried every single topcoat I can under the sun and every single one of them wrinkles the foil.  Every.Single.One.  It's annoying.  They look great until you topcoat them.  Without topcoat the fall apart in a matter or hours--glurg it is not a good situation.

So naturally today it hacked me off when after topcoating them before stamping they freaking wrinkled.   It wasn't much of a hardship to stamp over them LOL!
This is one of those from a distance it looks pretty cool mani's!
But up close and you see the imperfections
Oh my gosh sort of like the guy you are dating!!! LOL!  Hahaha that one cracked me up.

The foil I used is called Comet Trail and while it does not appear to be holographic at all once I topcoated it the silver wrinkled--the asshat!
I stamped using one of my new Uber  Chic plates.  I really love both of the Uber Chic sets that I got for my birthday!

So thankfully I finished the week only a couple days behind.  Man it can be brutal sometimes!  This week was hard for me.  I did a couple mani's I really liked--like the first two manis.  I loved my very first one but then I just felt like I fell flat on my face.

Hopefully next month I can come back victorious!

The Digit-al Dozen Does Patterns On Patterns--Birthday mani!

Hi Everyone!  OIY I am way late in getting my Thursday post up!  So late it's not even Thursday anymore!  My excuse???? Yesterday was my birthday!  I went out with my family and was so tired and had such a full belly when I got home that I went to bed ASAP.  Well that and I was reading a really fantastic book.  So yes on my birthday I was in bed  before 9pm!  Talk about getting old!

I really wanted to wear my new Wine Time polish from Red Dog Designs for my birthday and tried to come up with something cool for it.  I ended up going with some double stamping and then a cute added cupcake because it was my birthday after all

I did was going for a chocolate strawberry type look but I"m afraid my brown isn't dark enough.  I guess I need a dark chocolate brown instead of just a milk chocolate LOL!
No matter how old you get you always love cupcakes!

Here's what Wine Time looks like on it's own.  It's a gorgeous marsala holo glitter polish.  I LOVE IT.  I know I will wear this one a zillion times this year!

I didn't get a chance to see what everyone did yesterday either so I'm heading there now I think I've been sort of sucking with this challenge while everyone else is just blowing it out of the water!

The Digit-al Dozen Does Patterns On Patterns

Hi Everyone!  Happy Wednesday!  Today I'm doing another "cute" mani!  I don't know what's been up with me lately but maybe cute is trying to take over!  This one did turn out really lovely though despite this hand made hearts I tried to do LOL!  So many freaking bloggers and youtubers make free hand hearts look easy how they're doing it I have no idea because it is not easy
This is just a nice soft gradient of pink to pink with some Born Pretty Store stamping over it!
Looks good from a distance for sure--the hearts that is but when you check them out close up not so much hahaha
Perhaps one day I'll prefect the free hand heart then again maybe I won't for today though this is going to have to do.

I'm late posting today!  My son and I had to head over to Festival Foods after work for Sushi Wednesday.  I can't wait to check out what everyone came up with for today white eating some yummy sushi!

The Digit-al Dozen Does Patterns On Patterns

Hi Everyone!  Ooooh I'm happy to report I had a much easier time last night coming up with a mani for today.  My  birthday is on Thursday and I got a nice early surprise from my son this weekend.  He bought me both of the new Uber Chic plate sets.  They are really nice plates!  Perfect in size for me and my nail length too!  I was able to use one of them with a FUN plate to come up with a pretty cool mani!

I started with a base of Elevation Polish's  Definition: The Vivid Unknown, which is like my new fave right now for Winter--I stamped with Mundo de Unas Aqua with one of my new Uber Chic plates and then again with Mundo de Unas White with a FUN plate--here's the look
I'm not a huge fan of this hand pose but it doesn't chop off my link up picture so I'm going to do this one for Digit-al Dozen posts.

I think this is a pretty cool look--what do you all think?

I had a hard time figuring out what color to double stamp over the Aqua though!  I had to enlist the clear baggy idea last night before settling on white
I am really happy with this final result and this look for today

So far I think everyone is doing a great job  with this theme.  My faves from yesterday were Hannah's Borg and Debbie's Flower was just great!  I just love how different everyone's was yesterday!!

The Digit-al Dozen Does Patterns On Patterns

Hi Everyone!! Happy Monday!  This week The Digit-al Dozen is stupidly attempting something we are calling Patterns On Patterns.  At first when I heard this I thought okay double stamping no problem.  But it is ALOT harder than it sounds.  Yesterday I tried 5 different mani's for this week and they all sucked.  All of them.  Every. Single. One.  So it's not just about some double stamping.  This is going to  be an incredibly challenging week and because I do like to challenge myself I didn't want to just rely on double stamping.

Today though I do have something super cute to show you!  This was a pretty labor intensive mani because it was a lot more than just double stamping. It turned out to be like quadruple stamping but the effort is totally worth it!

I actually went back and used an idea from the first mani I had ever tried after watching a youtube video.  I pulled out my trusty BM04 plate and some of my colorful Mundo de Unas polishes and went to town.  Then I grabbed one of my favorite Mash plates--Mash 40 and stamped over it.  I don't use my Bundle Monster and Mash plates too often anymore because my nails are too long for them so it was a real treat to be able to come up with this look.

Oh my goodness this one really turned out cute!

I know I say I'm not a fan of cute but sometimes I am!

Here's a nice close up so you can see the starburst pattern underneath the swirls

So for my first day I at least came up with something good!  Hopefully tonight I can hit the drawing board again and not be disappointed!

Let's head over to see how hard or easy it was for everyone else!

Roses in Winter

Hi Everyone!  Oh My Lanta I've been MIA for a bit!  Sorry about that but I just sort of fell off the face of the earth with no real reason lol!  It might be the crushing  Packer loss or the fact we got a freaking foot of snow this past weekend with more to come! UG!

Today I have a beautiful mani to show you that I did with FUN 13.  A few months ago the very lovely and super talented Johanne of Fab Ur Nails posted this gorgeous mani she had done using FUN 13 and some sheer tints over a holo.  I just fell in love with it so HAD to try to recreate it.  Johanne is not only a dear sweet friend she has been my inspiration for many, many beautiful mani's.

Here's my recreation of her stunning roses!
I started off with a base of China Glaze Sexagon and then used my fabulous sheer tints from Polish 10.1 to recreate this mani of Johanne's
Isn't this just a gorgeous mani?
When you leadlight with sheers you can do so many things!

This is Johanne's mani
I just love everything about it and have always loved her beautiful long nails!!!

Here's a picture of ours together
Gorgeous aren't they?

10.1 Polish has clear jelly sheers as well as some sheer holos!  They are just awesome for leadlighting!  If you'd like to check them out you can find them HERE  Kelly has a lot of great polishes and is always coming up with new things!

I'm so glad to call both Johanne and Kelly friends and thanks to both of them for their inspiration!
