Oh where have all the Axl Rose's gone?

Hi Readers!  Welcome to my Neon Jungle mani!  A couple of weeks ago I went to visit my bestie, Sandi, and her daughters Cassie and Angel and we did some fun mani's.  Cassie is getting into stamping which is wicked cool!  All the gals got some cool nails and the one I did for Angel gave me an idea.  We did a neon gradient zebra for her and it got me thinking, hey how about a bunch of neon animals?  I must have a fever with all these neon ideas I've been thinking of and coming up with!
Check this one out!
Wow! I love how this turned out!  My favorite is my thumb!
The reptile swear is pretty cool too!

And again I used last year's China Glaze Neons!  You can recycle people lol!

Here's the gradient before I stamped on it
Wicked!

And check out the thumb, how knew gradienting Purple Panic and Turned Up Turquoise would give you a cool purple???
Even got a good one with flash!
The camera man's getting better!
I used a multitude of plates for this one from the 1st and 2nd Bundle Monster sets and my thumb is from DRK-A.  I love how my thumb turned out and I plan on doing a full mani with it later this week I think!

Short and sweet today Readers because it's past my bedtime!

I hope you all have a fantastic day!

Monkey See Monkey Do Monday--LuvMyLacquer!

Hi Readers! Happy Monday!  I had today's MSMD mani pinned for AGES!  I'm so glad I went though my Pinterest board to look check out some stuff I had on there.  I love Pinterest everything you want to see is in one spot for you---AWESOME!
This mani is nice and sweet and simple.  I had forgotten how much I loved to just do one color and then stamp lol!  My gradient obsession might have taken over lately LOL!

I used two Zoya's from the Beach Collection Lara and Arizona and then since I didn't have the glitter Jessica used I did a coat of China Glaze Fairy Dust and stamped using Mash M78

It's summery! It's cute! It's fun! and it was easy!

The beauty of this baby--you can wear something pink OR orange with it lol!

You can find Jessica's original post for it here  and be sure to checks hers out because that glitter was so cool!

Sunday Stamping Challenge--Red and Black

Hi Readers!  I took a little unexpected break yesterday.  Unexpected because the neon gradient I had been working on for a long time yesterday was totally and completely ruined by the person who put the bottle of Seche Vite Base Coate in the row with the Seche Vite Fast Dry Topcoat! I thought something was up after I applied the Seche to my gradient, it still appeared tacky after a minute and that never happens with my Seche.  I stamped over it anyone blaming the neons.  One nail didn't work out to well so I had to remove the stamping and ug what a mess.  It was then I really looked at the others nails I had put the Seche on and realized they had all smeared.  Seche Vite Fast Dry Topcoat NEVER smears stamping.  So I looked at my bottle and sure enough it was just base coat ARG!  There was  A LOT of swearing in the kitchen.  I didn't have time to fix it though as I had to take my son for an eye appointment.  By the time I got back home and fixed the mani it was so late I just said forget it.  Lesson learned when you are buying Seche Vite Fast Dry Topcoat make sure you look at all your bottles especially when you're buying more than one lol!

So today I'm back with the RIGHT Seche Vite!  The theme for today's challenge is red and black and I don't know about you readers but usually red and black draws my minds focus to oriental design.  I was ecstatic to be using my new red Knees Up once again for this mani, and it's super simple but just uses a few stamping plates.
I do love seeing red and black together!
And really I might need to make sure I get a back up bottle of Knees Up which is ALOT easier to find and snag than a back up bottle of Vampire State Building lol!
I used plates from the second Bundle Monster set and an XL Cheeky for this design.  The Bundle Monsters are from BM202 and BM208 and the Cheeky is XL plate A.

I have SO many untried plates and polish.  I really need to get on board with doing a new plate image a day and a new polish a day especially since I have more on the way lol!

As I said before I love seeing red and black together--what are some of your favorite colors combos?

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope you all have a fantastic day!

Everyone could use a K.I.S.S.

Hi Readers!  I had plans to do a completely different mani for today BUT a couple of my coworkers had never heard of magnetic nail polish! GASP!  They didn't understand the concept of it or how it worked even!  So instead of the lovely coral and forest green mani I planned on I decided, instead, to haul out a few of my magnetics and do a simple gradient.  I love making magnetic gradients.  In case you don't know how to achieve it, after you sponge on your gradient put on a coat of clear and then use your magnet! The clear "rewets" the polish so you can force the magnetic particles into action.  This one is just a simple one of coppers and a brown.
What I love most about magnetic polish is you can instant nail art!

What I don't love most about this pic is how weird my pinkie looks lol!
It's almost like he's late to join in the pic!!!

I used 2 of my Nabi's for this and a Finger Paints I got on clearance.  LOVE how sparkly it is!
For this gradient I used Nabi Cappuccino and Candid and Finger Paints Cop An Attitude.  Here's a picture of them

I can't wait to go to work tomorrow and show the girls the beauty of magnetic nail polish!  AND easy night for me apply it, put a magnet to it and PRESTO nail art! Sometimes K.I.S.S. is best! Keep It Simple Stupid!!

Are any of you still wearing magnetic polish? Any of you not into it?  I just love it!

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope you all have a great weekend!

Are your knees up or down?!!!

Hi Readers!  I'm pretty sure many of you have heard me say the best red ever is OPI's Vampire State Building--and oh how I love my Vampire State Building BUT I have sinned against Vampire State Building and have lust in my heart for another red.  My friend Silver told me Butter London's Knees Up is the best read EVAH and I think I might have only half heartedly listened to her.  I may have even scoffed her but seriously Silver no more.  I decided to do the same mani I did for my bestie, Sandi this weekend and holy shizz this is one sexy mani!  I took some pics of this baby both outside and indoor at work.  Here's shots of indoors at work--this was at the crack of dawn and not all the lights are on in the building yet lol!  So there's a glare from my desk lamp
DAYUM this looks mahvelous!
Here's a pic of the ring I wore with it!
There's a matching bracelet too!
Did you see that pic of my husband??? A lot of people say he reminds them of someone famous!

LOL!

Oh lord Readers yes that IS a picture of Elvis in a frame on my desk lol!  I've had it for years.  Two nurses where I used to work gave it to me for my birthday in that very frame and I've taken it with me to each new job I've had since.  I have an Elvis mug and calendar in the cubicle too lol!

Here's some pics I took outside when I got home in the blistering 95 degree weather!
Yes we did get some rain FINALLY in Wisconsin so there is some green
I loved this mani! And Butter London's Knees Up really is a fabulous red!

This mani was super simple and super easy to do.  I did 2 coats of Knees Up and then stamped with Kleancolor Black using BM310.  One thing I noticed at work today is a lot of male coworkers were looking at my hands.  I have a theory that men are really attracted to red nail polish and today seemed to prove it lol!

Do any of you have this gorgeous Butter London???

Thanks for stopping by!! I hope you all have a fantastic day!

Summer Challenge--A Day at the Zoo!

Hi Readers!  I wanted to do something different and funky for a day at the zoo theme so I hauled out my suedes again and went for some matte stamping as well.  I'm sure if I like this one but it is what it is!  I started with a gradient of OPI We'll Always Have Paris suede and Lincoln Park After Dark suede.  It's really lovely
I love the dark tips!
To give it that "zoo" theme I stamped over it with a zebra print
I messed up a bit on the pinkie but since I don't wear a mani for more than a day usually I let it slide lol!  That and taking off just the top layer on a suede is hard!

This is definitely a "wild" look!

What are you thoughts about this matte gradient and matte stamping?? Like it, love it, or loathe it??

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope you all have a fantastic day!

Bad To The Bone! Buh buh buh baaaad!

Hi Readers!  Today I'm hanging with a few of my friends doing a Tutorial Tuesday theme.  I've said this before but I'll say it again, I pretty much am today all because of Soguesswhat 11 on Youtube!  Gina is AHmazing and she has inspired me to do so much.  When I first started out all I ever did was copy here designs.  After awhile I was able to do my own lol!  But there was a day when she copied me and I just about hit the floor!  Today I'm paying homage to her fantastically creative mind and I did a mani she named Bad To The Bone because it's one of my dad's favorite songs.  My dad is the sweetest guy on the planet but he told my little sister and I once that when he died he wanted it played at his funeral LOL!

This one's for you dad!
This is SO not me so that makes it SO me LOL!!!!!!!

If you haven't ever seen a tutorial by Soguesswhat 11 on youtube now's your chance to start!  I guarantee you'll be hooked on her stuff!  Here's the tutorial for the mani I'm wearing today--Bad To The Bone using Mash plates 26-50

Stop by and share some love with Gina!

And check out what my friends came up with for their Tutorial Tuesday!

Monkey See Monkey Do Monday--Leslie Loves Polish!!

Hi Readers!  Today I'm copying the FAB Leslie who came up with this super cool, totally awesome, totally kick ASS mani!  The second she showed this to me I said "I'm copying this for MSMD!!!"  I even wanted to post it before she did on her own blog lol!  THAT'S HOW COOL IT IS!
Seriously! This mani ROCKS!
When Leslie did hers she used neons but I hauled out my Zoyas and used Pippa--my favorite yellow in the universe and Robyn.  How did the green get in there--simple---yellow and blue make green! BAM! A three color gradient using only 2 colors lol!
The stamped image is Mash-45 and Kleancolor Black.  I almost wrecked myself driving down to Illinois Saturday because I kept starting at my nails!
This is how much I loved this mani--I wore it for almost 3 days! That's right you heard me--THREE DAYS!

Thanks to the lovely Leslie for such a wicked cool idea!  You can find her first posting of it here--where she gives me a cool shout out LOL!

Sunday Stamping Challenge--Your new favorite stamp!

Hi Readers!  Guess what??? I'm not really here!  I'm actually in Illinois right now spending some time with my bestie Sandi and her daughters.  We planned on a weekend full of mani's and gigglies and I sure hope I have some pictures to show you when I get back! BUT in the meantime I did an early preparing for this Sunday's challenge theme was is your new favorite stamp.  My most recent plates have been the 3rd set from Bundle Monster and the MASH set 26-50 which in all honestly I love both equally.  But knowing me as well as some of you do I know you know there is one in there that calls to me more than any other one
Did you guess right??? Were you trying to go with a mermaid look???
Nope it's definitely the barbed wire image from the third Bundle Monster set.  It's image BM323 and I love it!

I used my new Butter London Knees Up and then Kleancolor Black to stamp with--my friend Silver was right--Knees Up is the most gorgeous red EVAH!

I have a lot of plans using this image again and again several different ways.  I hope to come up with a barbed wire and chains mani! OMG that would be stupendous!

I have a really cool one for tomorrow MSMD which I haven't done the last couple of weeks so be sure to check that out tomorrow!

Hopefully I make it back alive from my trip to Illinois.  This Wisconsin Packer can't stand going into to stinky Illinois with their crappy Chicago Bears BUT I do it for my bestie--what can I say??  Loyalty to friends always over shadows loyalty to your football.  BUT I can still say Go Pack, Go!!!!

Thanks for stopping by!! I hope you all have a fantastic day!

My wonderful friend Jacki had a baby boy!

Hi Readers! My sweet friend Jacki from Adventures In Acetone welcomed a new baby son into her family.  Her husband and daughter are as over the moon with the new arrival as well!  I might sound biased, but really I'm not, I've seen him and he's adorable!  He is one lucky boy to have someone as sweet and kind as Jacki for a mom.  In honor of his arrival a few of us are going blue to celebrate.  Congratulations to Jacki, Wes, big sister Hailey and welcome to our polish family, Owen!!!
This is pretty dang cute--not as cute as the stuff Jacki can do by hand but cute nonetheless!
I used an underwear of Zoya Robyn and topped it with Zoya Twila and then stamped using BM307.

Check out what all my friends have come up with to welcome sweet baby Owen into the world!

Internet Mother's DON'T Always Know Best!

Hi Readers!  I think most of you by know my choice of colors leans toward the dark side.  Face it I'm just not a summery, pastel, neon wearing gal!  Give me those dark vampy colors and I feel at home.  A couple of months ago I bought Orly's Buried Alive from the Dark Shadows collection and I have yet to wear it.  So I hauled it out along with my recently purchased China Glaze Exotic Encounters.  I decided to toss in my favorite "ugly" color China Glaze Trendsetter and a gradient was born!
I love how this turned out! It reminded me of the jungle!
I was wracking my brain for a stamping idea as i was leaning toward tribal or animal print--giraffe in particular.  I asked my internet daughter, Rebecca of Rebecca Likes Nails what I should do and boy did she ever come up with a great idea!  Really Readers she is not just another pretty face!

Since it had the jungle feel she suggested the leaves image from Mash-50
I think it's fantastic!!!!
I'm wearing an olive green top tomorrow and this mani is going to be perfect!

What do you think of this one?  Do you love this pretty "ugly" colors or are they not your thing??

Thanks for stopping by!! I hope you all have a fantastic day!

If it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck . . .

Hi Readers!  I got a few polishes recently and wanted to use them in a mani.  I stopped in at Sally's and picked up the only color from the China Glaze Safari collection, Exotic Encounters AND my Butter London order arrived in which Knees Up, Bluey, and Branwen's Feather were in there.  Looking at Bluey and Exotic Encounters together I knew I could do something with them.  I debated on whether or not I should gradient AGAIN and decided--yes, yes I AM going to gradient again.  I hauled out on of my fave--okay it IS my fave China Glaze, For Audrey, and a gradient was born.

I love how much is missing from my bottle of For Audrey, because it means she is well loved!

She goes great with Exotic Encounters too!

Let's add Bluey to the mix to see what we come up with!
Bluey can be a bit greeny when stamp with him over teal lol!
And you know when I saw these colors together my mine immediately went to Mermaid Mani BUT I held myself back so just because it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck doesn't always mean it's going to be a duck!!! LOL!
I really do love the richness of Bluey but it was not as opaque as I thought it would be.  I'll be using him again a few times I'm sure!  I know he'll be a fabulous gradient partner to someone!!
Hopefully my ding dang pinkie which broke this weekend will be grown out by then so he looks even better or a full size finger nail LOL!

Here's a picture of the polishes I used and my sponge.
I stamped with Bluey using MASH-41.

Were you surprised I held off doing another mermaid tail???? I am lol!  I love how this turned out though!  You can never have too many animal print mani's I think!

Thanks for stopping by!! I hope you all have a fantastic day!!
